Unbelievable. What a bunch of idiots !! Why is the government so incapable of doing stuff? Local as well as national. That asking back and forth is exactly the problem! Talga, please please please develop a synthetic graphite line for Talnode-Si. Unbelievable. If we wait for Sweden even for Talnode-Si, Talga will not be able to grow the business as fast as the demand is asking for it.

Best case scenario from here is 2028 for first full calendar year of nameplate production.

Meanwhile $50m pa in interest payments from 2026. I’d hate to think what an updated IRR looks like for Vittangi. Standalone without state support or expansion it’s probably getting close to an unviable project.

Talga went to the government for the detailed plan on March 14. Now the government is asking the Municipality for it's opinion on June 21. (Say it was Friday before the article was written). That is 3 month to get to this point with almost 2 month time to form an opinion that they already voiced. How long after that before the government make up it's own mind? I am beyond flabbergasted by this rigmarole.

Why are you all getting so upset about another government delay ?

Politicians never fast track anything unless they are left with no alternative. We are still waiting for the permit decision so there is no pressure on politicians to make quick decisions. In fact with summer holidays coming up the end of August and onwards is really when we are likely to see a permit decision anyway.

Don't forget at the last Shareholder briefing end of April MT quite clearly stated that the SC had not even gotten to our case yet

From some random Google site...........The Summer Holidays in Sweden commence on June 12 and last until August 16, 2024. A number of regions start their summer holidays a few days earlier or later.

Was it the webinar before this that he said “we have reason to believe it’s getting close” or something similar? At the time I thought their political / lobbying connections must have given them some hope but wonder now what this was based on if the SC hadn’t even got close to looking at it.

Anyone got a guess on how long it will take once the SC actually pick up the case documents? I’m naively thinking it will be a quick process (ie matter of days / weeks) but might be optimistic with the bureaucracy involved

Yes that was the one before. He would be getting this feedback from our own external lawyers who would have a great deal of experience with the system and therefore whose interpretation of "it’s getting close” ......................well "close" could be 6 months LOL.

I cant remember who our lawyers are now but that Court log of our case that was posted a few months ago disclosed their names which I Googled and the two that were named are very experienced in the Environmental field

I've just gone through an audit conducted by the Australian Taxation Office. Just one of their regular

"Hey you................you live on the Northern Beaches you must be up to no good"

I was notified in January 2022 it was going to occur. Naturally you start to then worry perhaps you have done something wrong and that thought pops into your head with some regularity. They actually started it almost 18 months later in July last year and they had all the information they wanted by September last year. But still you experience some anxiety.

Added to that the guy who was in charge of the my audit went on 18 weeks of paternity leave so my case just stopped dead for 4 months. We don't know what is going on behind the scenes in our Swedish case. "Oh OK .........Great so I need to wait some more"

I finally got an email yesterday saying it had concluded and besides a few very minor ASIC shareholder register stuff I was in the clear. All that anxiety for nothing

The moral of the story is that bureaucracy seems about the same all over the world not just Sweden and consequently they don't give a rat's about their impact on the other party

Based on his subsequent comments about sending a letter now that the normal time for the court to decide to grant leave to appeal or not had passed, I think he was originally referring just to that "normal" timeline that he'd been told.
