The former Minister of Finance took his flight with his wife to the French capital last weekend.
This trip for health care reasons to Paris raised an outcry in Congolese opinion.
Questioned by the courts for the case of overbilling drilling and streetlights, the former national silversmith leaves the country when his two co-accused in the same judicial soap opera, Rubota and Mike Kasenga are already languishing at Makala prison.
Asked about the subject, relatives of Nicolas Kazadi confirm that he is indeed sick. According to this, the former Minister of Finance, far from evading, returns to Kinshasa in 15 days, on July 15 to face Congolese justice,
It should be noted that the National Assembly had granted authorization to investigate against Kazadi, who had become a national deputy.

Government: no reduction in the lifestyle of institutions since 332.8 million USD were spent on the operation of ministries in 5 months!
These are figures which confirm that the reduction in the lifestyle of institutions remains an illusion in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
While other sectors, notably social, are operating slowly, the functioning of ministries cost the public treasury the whopping sum of 945.3 billion Congolese Francs (CDF), or 332.8 million US dollars (USD) at the end. May 2024.
This figure comes from the budgetary monitoring statements of the General Directorate of Budgetary Policies and Programming during the first five months of the current year.
The budgetary forecasts in favor of operating expenses for the ministries during the period considered were set at 921.8 billion CDF.
Which means that the rate of consumption of these budget forecasts is 102.5%.
For the entire year 2024, the finance law has provided for the sum of 2,212.4 billion CDF, or 779 million USD for the operation of ministries.
It would therefore not be an exaggeration to assert that any current Congolese minister will end the current year as a millionaire in American dollars.
Moreover, the functioning of institutions represents a little more than 67% of the national budget estimated at 16 billion USD.
For a small comparison, education and health share only 5%.
No wonder then that politics is considered one of the most lucrative professions in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
