Yeah me too. If it's bad then lower prices available. If it surprises then can buy into strength with more confidence.
Exactly. Happy either way to be honest but no harm in getting a bit of value(despite it already being undervalued in my opinion) šŸ«£

Got some more at open today. Have been buying as many as I can. If the 4C is crap I will buy some more. SP will turn at some point. Maybe the start of a reversal this afternoon.......that short squeeze is going to be a thing of beauty when it happens

The new E-Class is here ā€“ and it is more intelligent than ever, reaching a new dimension of personalisation and interaction.

As promised, let me take you through one or two highlights. For instance, our Hey Mercedes voice assistant in the new E-Class is even more powerful. With the new "Just Talk" function, the intelligent voice control can now also be activated without a keyword. To do this, the customer must be alone in the vehicle. When activated, a red microphone symbol appears in the display, meaning the vehicle is waiting for voice commands.

I also love the new MBUX Superscreen. The optional MBUX multimedia system Premium Plus includes the passenger display, which means the large glass surface extends from the A-pillar on the passenger side to the central display. For the first time in this class, at the touch of a button, the optional 3D driver display allows spatial scene perception with a real depth effect.

The system uses autostereoscopy for the 3D effect: here, the LCD display combines a special pixel structure with a controllable LCD aperture grill. The result is that the left and right eye see different pixels of the LCD, creating the illusion of depth. The effect is impressive.

The State of AI in 2023:What you Need to Know To Stay Ahead?

27. April 2023

Cloud-based AI platforms have become increasingly popular in recent years as they offer a cost-effective and scalable way for businesses to access the power of AI without having to invest in expensive hardware and infrastructure.

We anticipate that more companies will employ cloud-based platforms like Google TensorFlow, Amazon SageMaker, and Microsoft AzureML in 2023. These services offer several simple AI services to incorporate into different applications, such as machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.

Maybe the afternoon rush was shorters covering themselves in case the 4c is a good one, if not they will go harder.

Little volume all day and Bugga all at auction.

My opinion itā€™s mums and dads having a bet. Not big enough for shorters.

Just my opinion.

Thanks tls,

I was hoping there might be some clues to secret projects.

1. Denoising acoustics/acoustic filters - could be hearing aids/ultrasonic parking?

2. Body pose, gesture model library - nViso, Masons, etc.

3. LiDaR

4. Software inferencing - MediaPipe is new " https://mediapipe.dev/ "

1682593043662.png

5. NN estimator/calculator - weighted & prioritized multi-variables - create model and compute power, area, size, compute, model size, performance

6. Predictive maintenance models with Edge Impulse

7. Tweaking models -

MediaPipe is a bit like nViso, but with a lot more facial data points.

The estimator/calculator is new to me.

Re 7, I think this could produce a new income stream, licensing model libraries adapted for Akida.

Other than that I think we've seen it before.

Iā€™m not a fan of MB release advert for their new car. Itā€™s a bit messy for me; but each to their own.

My attention was drawn to the conversation early on where they very briefly mention facial recognition to set up your driving profile. (At about 6.28 to go on the video).

Given Akida can do that well, on low power, 1 shot learning etc, and MB have already stated they are working with Brainchip; hopefully that is one of the new systems we are being used for along with sensors.

What I find especially intriguing is the anti-distraction system using a tracking camera and an ā€œadvanced filtering systemā€ to create a ā€œvisual shieldā€ as described here for example:

ā€œMercedes has installed multiple safeguards to make sure E-Class drivers wonā€™t be distracted by the passengerā€™s screen. The touch function of the screen is only activated if the sensors in the passenger seat detect an occupant; otherwise, it acts as a screensaver. Dual light control technology acts as a ā€œvisual shield,ā€ making the passenger screen invisible to the driver, depending on what sort of content is being shown. That selfie camera tracks the driverā€™s eye movements, taking into account how often and for how long the driver looks over toward the passenger screen. The car can also automatically dim the passenger screen to make it less distracting to the driver while still being visible to the passenger.ā€

While a lot of people these days are enthusiastic about smart(er) cars boasting giant screens and ultra-modern entertainment systems, to me, advertised features such as an integrated TikTok app are mere gimmicks to appeal to a target audience that for the most part is much too young to drive, let alone afford such a car, and I am extremely worried about a further increase in driver-distracted accidents that have surged ever since smartphones became our constant companions and people started texting while driving. So I applaud carmakersā€™ efforts to try and come up with solutions for real life problems such as this innovation, although in the case of anti-distraction systems, it is of course the carmakers themselves aggravating the underlying problem by creating even more distraction in the first place.

On a side note, I wonder whether that passenger seat sensor can be tricked into falsely ā€œbelievingā€ the seat is occupied when a heavy object is placed onto the seat, as there is apparently no AI camera involved detecting and confirming it is a human passenger?
