Shiraz Day is celebrated annually on the 4th Thursday of July,

4. How is Syrah different from Shiraz?

Syrah and Shiraz are essentially the same grape variety but are labeled differently based on the region of cultivation and style of the wine. Syrah is typically used to describe wines with a French or European influence, while Shiraz is used for wines with an Australian or New World influence.

I wish you and you all a blissful wine day today! I still have to be patient.

And I would like to emphasise one thing. Of course, I know Syrah quite well through our French neighbours.
And through you here at TSE I got to know Shiraz and, more specifically, the ones (?) from McLaren Vale and also the marvellous sparkling water from Shiraz!
And I can clearly say for myself that yours simply tastes better. I can only speculate as to why that is. Perhaps it's the different climate or different soils.
Be that as it may, I have now found a second shop in my town that has very good Shirazs, mostly Penfolds.

At some point the ball had to bounce! I hope that it will bounce the next time on the next step up and then continue like this.

All that wine drinking.. and I can't participate. Sigh, too bad, but have fun! :) I'll join maybe end of next week. At moment, too much work and family for drinking and also crashed my bike yesterday which resulted in quite some headaches from hitting the road (I did wear a helmet).. still, pain killers and alcohol is an absolute no-go. Other than that, just some scratches that will heal soon enough. A bouncing ball share price is surely not hurting in this situation ;)

I feel like I'm due for a bit of a rant about the goddamn swedes and their dysfunctional system.
But I'm tired today and feel like all I can manage is an exasperated sigh...
*SIGH.....*

Fuk you narrow non-representative Sami NIMBY knobs and fuk you Sweden for not managing to figure out how to run a functional judicial system, the foundation of a 1st world country. You can be as socialist as you want but your're a goddamn lawless banana republic if you can't run a functioning legal system.

....wow so apparently even my sighs come out as rants now.

It would have been quicker if the SC granted the appeal immediately it was lodged so we could have it re tried

Hi Monkey,

here, grab a bear, probably not cold as the fridge broke some time ago and no one was around to fix it, but bear is better than no bear, am I right?

I went to Denmark, great spot for late German holiday period as the Danish are all done with their vacations and we can live in relatively uncrowded areas. Was a nice 2 weeks up north while Germany baked in the heat.. we had comfortable weather all around.. the Baltic sea at our doorstep and nice colorful sunsets as the sun descended into the ocean. Lovely place! I even read 2/3 of a book, "The player of games" by Iain M. Banks. Can recommend! Also I absolutely love the ice cream in Denmark! Need at least 4 weeks of starving myself now to get rid of it now.. ttssss 😅 I didnt even check the stock market much at all.. I kind of forgot about all of that stuff and it was nice :) And most importantly, didnt think about work at all!

PS: I hate mosquitos!

BTW... just saw @JoMo68 's trouble to link here in hot crapper. What a childish idiotic behavior to censor links to other social media platforms. I can only shake my head on this.

I have just returned and escaped the heat. I was on holiday in the Alps in Ammergau, Allgäu, Karwendel, Wetterstein and Berchtesgaden. It was fantastic! Such peace above the clouds! Simply marvellous. Cowbells and good cheese...

So what is so good about Danish ice cream is it creamier than German ice cream ? I must admit I do love the odd salted caramel ice cream from time to time
