"Politicians in Kiruna bow to the government – complete mining plan

Updated today 11:27Published today 11:14
A clear majority of members of the Social Democrats in Kiruna believe that the municipality should finalize the detailed plan for a graphite mine outside Vittangi.
In January, the government took the unique decision to force Kiruna Municipality to complete a detailed plan that enables the mine that the company Talga wants to open.
The municipality thus had to choose between completing the plan itself or letting the county administrative board do it at the municipality's expense.

This means the decision

When the Social Democrats in Kiruna raised the issue at Sunday's members' meeting, an overwhelming majority voted for the first option.

Previously, voices had been raised to allow the municipality to make a selection and send the issue to the county administrative board.

The decision in S means that it will most certainly also be Kiruna Municipality's decision when it comes up for the municipal council. Several of the opposition parties are also in favor of a mine establishment."

What a little coercion can do.) Now they do it themselves, save costs and are suddenly in favour of it.
We can only hope that they work correctly and don't make any mistakes or hurdles (s. LKAB). From memory, the work is already done and just needs to be finalised and approved. I think the plan can be seen on the municipality's website. I think I saw it there.

This is new to me and will remain an assertion until I read it on an official page:

"Now the processing concession and the building permit are legally binding, as is a formal financing decision, Talga said."

Uhh THAT would be an ideal outcome of CRMA if appeals can not delay legally binding status of court decisions! That would speed up things considerably! Where did you read that? We definitely need more clarity of how to interpret CRMA and it's application on Talgas case specifically.

Follow the link under my post.

"Nu återstår bearbetningskoncession och bygglov i laga kraft, samt ett formellt finansieringsbeslut uppger Talga."

OK! Google translated wrong again. With DeepL:
"What remains is a processing licence and a legally valid building permit, as well as a formal financing decision," says Talga.

Swedish and German are relatively similar. So I translated with DeepL first into German an then into English:
"What is still missing is a processing licence and a legally valid building permit as well as a formal financing decision," says Talga."

Gives more sense to me.)

So...
Please excuse

In my view, being declared as strategic project in a green investment field means directly following the financial path defined by the EU Taxonomy .)
