Recently released Aug paper where the heading caught my eye given today's awesome discovery shared by @Learning

Unfortunately, they used Loihi 2 v CNN Xlinx but I found the statements at the end of the abstract further validation of neuromorphic and interest via the space industry.

Akida, right place, right time hopefully with players like ANT61, EDGX, Intellisense etc.

Energy-Efficient On-Board Radio Resource Management for Satellite Communications via Neuromorphic Computing​

The latest satellite communication (SatCom) missions are characterized by a fully reconfigurable on-board software-defined payload, capable of adapting radio resources to the temporal and spatial variations of the system traffic. As pure optimization-based solutions have shown to be computationally tedious and to lack flexibility, machine learning (ML)-based methods have emerged as promising alternatives. We investigate the application of energy-efficient brain-inspired ML models for on-board radio resource management. Apart from software simulation, we report extensive experimental results leveraging the recently released Intel Loihi 2 chip. To benchmark the performance of the proposed model, we implement conventional convolutional neural networks (CNN) on a Xilinx Versal VCK5000, and provide a detailed comparison of accuracy, precision, recall, and energy efficiency for different traffic demands. Most notably, for relevant workloads, spiking neural networks (SNNs) implemented on Loihi 2 yield higher accuracy, while reducing power consumption by more than 100× as compared to the CNN-based reference platform. Our findings point to the significant potential of neuromorphic computing and SNNs in supporting on-board SatCom operations, paving the way for enhanced efficiency and sustainability in future SatCom systems.

While it is not my intention to kick off a discussion on COVID-19 vaccines here in this thread, I don’t want to let your comment go unchallenged.

For my part, I salute Nandan for spreading the word that updated COVID-19 vaccines are now available, and took the creative liberty to tweak the title of his recent AI HARDWARE AND EDGE SUMMIT 2023 talk (“The Edge of Tomorrow: Intelligent Compute to scale AIoT”) into something I am positive he would subscribe to:

“Cutting-Edge Medicine of Tomorrow: Intelligent Technology to like AIoT”

In about an hour, the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine will be announced. In my eyes, it is only a question of time before Hungarian-American biochemist Dr. Katalin Karikó will be awarded this coveted recognition for her pioneering and groundbreaking work in developing mRNA technology, which has not only revolutionised vaccine development since 2020 but is also proving to become a game-changer in cancer treatment.

IMO, the current stock market totally underestimates mRNA technology’s revolutionary potential, just like it does with neuromorphic computing & engineering.

(Those of you who disagree with me on the above, feel free to think of BRN only, when reading the following paragraph, sprinkled with a couple of Tom Cruise allusions à la Nandan. Apologies for it being about the lucre only - it is solely the lack of movie titles around “beneficial to humanity” that is to blame…).

A lot of punters are having their Eyes Wide Shut. Hence it is Mission: Impossible for them to see The Color of Money in the long run. What a Risky Business! They may be laughing at the Minority Report Knight and Day, but they will soon be Losin’ It and sink into Oblivion! The Days of Thunder (and heavy Rain, man!) are not Far and Away for them. Legend are The Outsiders (A Few Good Men and women) who do All The Right Moves and will soon enjoy their Magnolia Cocktail under a Vanilla Sky.

Oh it's certainly a money spinner, I don't think anyone would argue that point

I agree, that in things I've seen, it does have great potential, in some areas, where current medicine isn't cutting the mustard.


Living in one of the most mRNA vaccinated countries in the World, I don't think I would find many, that would agree with the extremely small amount of information, that I know on the subject..

Are you aware though, that we also have some of the greatest excess deaths (above the mean) in Australia, which is over 9000 people, for the first 30 weeks of this year?
And that's not from respiratory illnesses..
Of course there is no direct provable correlation..
Hmm what's different in the World (excess deaths seeming to be high in countries with high mRNA vax rates)..

Just a curiosity I guess ..

I would say that's been getting a lot of airtime in the mainstream media aye?

I mean, imagine if there were 9000 deaths above the mean "so far" this year, on the roads..


Do you agree with giving the largely untested (well it's still in progress anyway) mRNA vaccine, to people who are not in a compromised health position?
Say like kids.. That it was shown early on were little affected by the virus?..

Oh but that's to protect the vulnerable right?

Even though the drug companies didn't test whether the mRNA vaccines reduced transmissibility of the virus (which it was later found that it didn't).
It was known very early in the piece, that the virus only seriously affected very few (the vunerable).

In fact most were little affected, remember the ads?
"I just had a runny nose"
"I had a sore throat"
"Hey, I can't smell my coffee!"
"We all had Covid"..
It's true, that in various cases, that we don't "know" who the vunerable are..

So just give it to everyone, just to play safe right?
But then what about all these excess deaths ..

I guess just giving it to everyone, does do one thing though, doesn't it.
Which brings my overly long post, back to it's beginning..

There are those that would call some of the information out there "mis-information" others call it the "missing-information"..

I really don't want to start an off-topic discussion as discussions/views regarding covid vaccines (and mrna technology especially) are even more heated than BRN's stock price

But I think it often happens that anger about government measures/vaccination recommendations etc. (righteous or not) gets mixed up with knowledge/opinion about the technology (mRNA). I think a litte bit more differentiation would be a good thing sometimes.

So a question to those who know more than me:
What is the AKIDA IP that we are selling? Is it software? I'm curious.

In one of the early Mercedes BrainChip related releases, they said they had developed "hardware and software solutions" with AKIDA.

To me, the fact that Akida Gen2 is already in "advanced engagements" hints that to some degree a collaborative approach has been taken. A brilliant strategy, shows we are prepared to listen (and react) and a sure fire way to embed our product as part of our customers solution.

Hi Guys,

I am interested in investing in BRN. I have a computer science background and I understand the Akida technology and implications. Though what I dont understand is how BRN is going to make revenue/profit. I simply cant figure out how this company is supposed to earn money. Yes, I understand that BRN is not selling chips or integrated systems, but rather the Akida design. But I am at a loss how the revenue stream is supposed to work. And thats holding me back right about now. Can you maybe explain in 1 or 2 paragraphs how this is supposed to work? Who are our customers? What exactly are we selling? And how does this scale? Does the profit flow with the number of sold chips that have Akida in them? Does it scale with number of uses? Does it scale with number of licences and the hardware is irrelevant? I dont know, and I would like to understand.

Also, to make it abondendly clear, I am invested in Tesla and Talga at moment, roughly equal parts. I am not really looking forwards to have another investment on the ASX with all its shinanigans. However, I might be looking away from that issue if there is a good enough reason. I was too bliend to see NVIDEA going off before it did. It was quite obvious in hind sight. BRN might be equally obvious but I want to make sure that I cover my bases in terms of company health and economic viability.
