Just out of a matter of interest, could one of our posters ask the ChatGPT the following question and post the results.

"As of January the 26th 2023, how many IP licence deals has Brainchip sold to customers"

I know the answer will not be reliable or accurate, Im just curious.

From my recollection we have sold 2 to direct to megachips and renesas, and maybe 2 from a third party (megachips) 4 in total.

I have heard that ChatGPT's knowledge base is currently limited to info available up to some point in 2021, so beyond its already notorious unreliability and the opaque and possibly dubious nature of its source material, it also may be out of date.

I wonder if at some point they will refine the program so that it will self verify its sources of information rather than allowing all data equal weighting as fact. My elder brother (living off grid as a hermit) who has only fairly recently become exposed to the WWW tends to believe anything he reads on the internet as factual.
He assumes and allows indiscriminate credence in his child like exuberance of the medium.
I have confiscated his credit card.

A couple of years ago, she came up during discussion at the crapper and from memory someone contacted Brainchip and we were told we were in completely different path.

Might add, it's a great question you asked regarding her ties with BRN and something a few of us have asked before. Thanks for bringing it out for the new investors.

Cheers, I didnt know that . With Microsoft investing heavily into the ChatGPT it will eventually be a serious competitior to Google search engines. I was just curious to the answer it would spew out regarding IP customers. Whatever the answer given, it would not change my opinion on Brainchip.

The choice of words for item (ii) is interesting, in particular "release" rather than "develop". To me, this suggests that the enhancements are well in hand.

We all know what Akida 1 can do. One of its capabilities is key-word spotting, as used in EQXX.

With the proviso that I don't know how transformers work (apologies to Ella):

LSTM is useful for processing sequences of data in context, be it speech, video, ... . One suggested use was in the prediction of the trajectory of moving objects, eg, in ADAS/AV. But it can only handle relatively short sequences of data because its memory is comparatively "short".

Transformers can handle longer sequences of data and "understand" or interpret the context, and can be used in translation and text prediction. Apparently it does this by extracting the "essence" of the context (don't ask me - I'm just making this up as I go along), so it can "understand" the context (and syntax - noun, verb, adjective, adverb, subject, object, ...) of longer data sequences, and do this more efficiently that LSTM. For instance, if you use a noun in one sentence, and then use the word "it" in a following sentence, the transformer may infer that "it" is the noun from the earlier sentence - spooky stuff.

On the software side, we've recently been exposed to the prowess of ChatGPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer). Incorporating that capability in silicon (without the "imaginative" results) will be no mean feat.

So, getting back to the EQXX and its derivatives, key-word spotting is all very well, but the next bit is "understanding" what the driver says after "Hey Mercedes!" ... and every driver may use different syntax to express their requirements. So transformers may be advantageous in this context.


As for key markets, we've recently seen advertisements for marketing personnel in Japan. A couple of industries in Japan include automotive and consumer electronics,

AVFE is the process of extracting informative characteristics from an image. The system initially has no knowledge of the contents of an input stream. Might be worth keeping an eye on Mouna ELKHATIB.

She worked for only 6 months at Brainchip. Seems like she is selling edge IP and ASIC. Naming sounds familiar... AON1000... hmmm. Hopefully it's not the only thing she has copied from Brainchip! She was the Director of Design Engineering at Brainchip so would have an intricate knowledge of AKIDA. I wonder if there is any patent infringement?

Ultra low power, always on, event detection etc. Sounds too familiar. The technical details are above my pay grade.

Next year's Galaxy S24 series could have exclusive Snapdragon 8 chipsets as well

The S23 generation is coming with special "Snapdragon for Galaxy" chipsets and Samsung will allegedly keep using such chips until its in-house chip is ready.
