BRN Discussion Ongoing

Bravo

If ARM was an arm, BRN would be its biceps💪!
Warning -Bad Friday morning humour.

If they can send the IT techs to fix the rovers why don’t they just bring the soil samples back with them 😜

Yeah, and why would you even need to worry about edge computing and low power consumption in space when you can buy a really long electrical cord from Bunnings like the one they have in the background?😝🤡😂

...and this shows an asynchronous clock divider – nothing special besides the worst asynchronous behavior.
As I said, if you want to know what the invention is, you need to read the claims.

This might seem like a bit of a left-of-filed thought as this feud between Arm and Qualcomm intensifies.

If Arm does cancel Qualcomm's license in 6o days, wouldn't this provide some incentive for Qualcomm to look for an alternative to some of Arm's technology while they sort through all of the legal issues?

One person's loss is another's gain, as they say...

Happy Friday, (maybe price sensitive announcement day)
Can someone explain to me like I'm 5, what this mornings announcement means?
The company equity plan?
Is this an extra 10 mill shares into equity raise?, says no cash consideration?
or, is this shares to go to staff achieving milestones?
Thanks and apologies if stupid.

The article in the above post refers to the fact that Qualcomm and Masimo recently partnered up to develop a health-focused reference device for smartwatch OEMs.

It might be useful to look through some of Masimo's recent patents (@Diogenese) to see if this turns up anything interesting.

I took this extract below from another article published in May 2024 that discusses Masimo's baby monitoring system. It states here that "The camera hardware and software architecture are designed to leverage and be compatible with future edge AI-based features, which are in development. The first application of the edge AI technology will be identifying babies who have turned face down."

I found out from reading this article that Masimo technology such as this monitors more than 10 million babies in hospitals every year and I can't help but thinking this would be a perfect fit for Akida Pico with its always-on, ultra low power (the lowest available in fact).

Opteran, the natural intelligence company has announced its work with Airbus Defence and Space with support from European Space Agency (ESA) and the UK Space Agency will test the Opteran Mind, its general purpose neuromorphic software, in Airbus space rovers.
Opteran believes nature offers a more efficient, robust solution for autonomy in space robotics which will enable new mission capabilities for future Mars missions and other space exploration projects.
Based on over a decade of research into animal and insect vision, navigation and decision-making, Opteran is conducting tests with Airbus at its Mars Yard to enable rovers to understand depth perception in the toughest off-world environments.

This photo is fake.

You can tell by the horizon area, that these guys aren't really on Mars.

We know that we are in the right space/Space, with neuromorphic technology and A.I. but we are not the only hopefuls, trying to carve out a piece of the pie.

We have a good chance, to be a significant player in this field.

Quarterly next week, will be interesting.
Has "income" begun to flow, or will it be another case of "next quarter is the one"..
