Why would they delay proceedings if they had the arbitrator on their payroll. They would just jam through a quick hearing like a back alley DRC court. Zijin's constant games do not indicate confidence imo

I liken it to the DOJ in the US slow-walking the Hunter Biden issue. The DOJ knows he’s guilty as fuck but won’t litigate It for nefarious and other reasons. The ICC making a ruling in favour of Zijin when they know they haven’t got a leg to stand on wouldn’t be a good look, so they, like Zijin, are banking on AVZ to run out of coin before they have to make a ruling.

Impartiality would have made them combine the cases. The fact they didn't means the court doesn't see Zijin as part of the longer term breach of pre-emptive right question between AVZ and Cominiere imo

But we will find out very soon either way
