Here is another good one from MILIJEW123 worth revisiting here ,
"Why do you think zijin have taken the 15% from cominere argument outside of the DRC courts and to the ICC who seemingly cant tell the DRC or cominere to do anything and only advise. If you dont know ill tell you.

Because they know they wont win in the DRC!!

Not only that they have done this 15% with cominere dodgy as all hell through the back door down the hallway, through the other backdoor then off to the left, through the red door and finally through the last door on the right.

See combaste post in the pic to again reiterate why zijin are in the wrong. AVZ DO NOT HAVE THE FINANCE YET SO SHARES CANNOT BE TRANSFERED I.E THE 15%."

Its clear and simple really.

I'll see what I can find when I get a chance, but I definitely remember seeing something along those lines and it was definitely from our side of the case not one of the google translated articles from shitter.

I'm not a lawyer either, just a simple unemployed tradie :ROFLMAO:
Brothers in arms , what do you do ?

Unemployed ?

Tradies are in high demand in WA, where are you located ?

That's all fine but then you have to question CATLs relevance in Felix's master plan which is to create a Battery Metals Value Chain through his new DBC. Clearly something CATL knows a hell of a lot about. And AVZ is on the Board. Obviously some pros and cons for cutting them loose.
Well that all remains, our sc6 and PLS still goes to those we signed contracts with, we can still supply a CATL funded battery plant in DRC. AVZ just communicates to CATL we wanted you but you guys have out played yourselves and we have been forced to go with Zijin to maintain operational majority of the project. Definitely would be pros and cons, but we have to look after ourselves first, DRC second and JV holders last.

Who knows if CATL really didn't know anything of Zijins illegal moves, well then they may kick up a stink, utilise their contacts, offer more $ to pay off Zijin, run back to winnie the pooh and cry about it and get Zijin to back off ?

Well well well, plot thickens even further, that reads black and white to me.

Thanks for sharing.

@BEISHA - sorry this is what I was referring too, have read too much crap lately to remember exactly whats what...

Brothers in arms , what do you do ?

Unemployed ?

HVAC - Just moved from Sydney to Brisbane after Easter so won't be moving to WA for a job any time soon

I haven't started applying for jobs up here yet, my wife kept her job and works remotely so it took the pressure right off me having to find one, I'm calling it a holiday more than I'm unemployed. I prefer doing installation/project work as opposed to service work, if I want to do service work you can pretty much pick the job ad you like atm but not so much with project work. I've got friends in construction here that I'll just do labour work for in the meantime. We also haven't decided exactly where we want to end up buying here yet so I don't exactly want to get my dream job on the North side of Brisbane and then buy a house on the Gold Coast either.

What do you do?>

Hi guys, please dont over estimate Zijin's bottom line. They can do things really ugly and dodgy.

I hope management can consider the situation in all angle and f.... Zijin off. They are supposed to be off anyway.

I am a carpenter , but also a registered builder, i flip homes , buy ugly ducklings in good locations, knock a couple of walls down here and there to open the place up, modernise the bathrooms / kitchens, lick of paint, a bit of landscaping then SELL.

Dont touch electricity, plumbing, tiling, i get contract those out, but i do the rest, flooring, hang doors, skirting, architraves, installing cabinets, pergolas etc.

I am getting a bit too tired doing that now, hoping to just flip my personal home and then retire and trade full time, making more money doing that and dont have to bust a gut in doing so.

2 more years to go hopefully to fulfill that dream.

I am also studying Psychology part time, will go full time once i quit building.

Nice, I'm open to doing that too. After all why would I go to work for $40 an hour and pay a builder $70+ to do work I'm capable of doing myself?

Unfortunately the last 2 months on the market haven't fitted that plan... Sold our place in Sydney so have a decent deposit behind us if the right 'renovators dream' comes along. The Mrs is the bread winner in this house so I'm just putting in the effort as an in home barista/house husband in the meantime.

Makes sense doesn't it, I mean why would you buy another 15% of a project you aren't going to mine?

You misspelt 'living the dream'

I won an $800 espresso machine in an RSL raffle for $20 worth of tickets, or as I sold it to the Mrs "do you realise were saving $100 a week on takeaway coffees if I just stay home and make them?"

We were 1 each in the morning and in my last job 90% of the time I'd be driving passed home mid morning so would drop by with another one. One of those expenses you don't think about until you do the maths one day and shit the bed when you realise lol

Housing market is crazy right now, supply chain disruption is hiking up prices to build big time, forget the 5% inflation in markets overall in Australia, you are looking at 20 - 30% price hikes on material, so if you dont have a iron clad agreement ( fixed price to build no matter what ) then you are getting reamed and potentially wont have your house complete until you get the extra reddies.

On the flip side, those " iron clad " agreements are also forcing building coys to the wall too.

I wont be renovating my house until those interest rate hikes take full effect.

In about 2 yrs time when i quit building, that will be the time to renovate my house and not pay thru the nose.

Thats the plan Jan.

Yeah housing market is volatile at the moment that's for sure, we sold/settled in March/April and are in no hurry to buy up here. Happy to see what happens with rates and the market. 99% sure we sold at the right time and we've gone from a 1 bed unit in Sydney to a 3 bed townhouse rental in Brisbane where the rent is cheaper than our mortgage in Sydney was so definitely coming off pretty good right now (except the covid lol).

If I'd made another 50k selling in Sydney I would have just come to Brisbane, bought a ute and started my own company.
