This shows that Talga itself did not expect the proceedings to take this course.
How could it, Talga is in favour of what the antis are shouting about - C0² reduction and green transition.
Nobody expected environmentalists to switch sides and oppose climate protection.
At least I didn't and neither did Talga.

This is one of the most mind bending revelations that the Talga story brought me. The realization that climate activists and protectors dont care about the climate at all. They are only there to nourish their enemy image (in German, I would say 'Feindbild' as it has exactly the right connotation but there is no english equivalent. Its a term to describe something as you think is your enemy and you nourish it by fighting the thing you think is your enemy, but in reality it isnt. What you do is you feed your view of the world, but not the true world. Hard to explain.). Environmental protectors prevent environmental projects everywhere. Once you start realizing this pattern, you can see it in lots of things. And Talga made me see it. I did not expect that beforehand. Its so absurd.

I also thought we already owned it. That seems odd. Is it the same land we already started building on? I feel like we were also looking at purchasing an adjacent lot maybe?
It was just my confusion. I only had little time and could only read part of it without the explanation.
Talga had already bought it, but then had to give it back because of Swedish anti-climate-protection-delaying-tactics of the NIMBYs and politics and that clause. Now they have signed the contract again.
And yes, I also think Talga has secured an extension. But I would have to look for the information.

New diary number
I don't know what this means. Whether the transfer of the case is considered complete, the decision to do so or whether something is practically going ahead.

I was wrong and you seem to be right. The date for comments does indeed seem to be 14 July. The diary entry has been expanded to include the opinion of the Swedish Transport Administration from 12 June. I think all comments will be collected here in the future. I have seen the list for the approval in Lulea. This is also be continued.

So this case will only be decided after 14 July. Of course, this is just my guess and I could be wrong.
And you would be right about another assumption. The case was opened on 9 June and it wasn't until 13 June that we were informed that the government was taking over and handing the case over to Norbotten County Council. Perhaps the decision had already been made internally, they started work and we only found out about it later.
Or the district administration has simply taken over the public notice from Kiruna and not restarted it in order not to lose any time.

Kiruna:
"The review period runs from 11
June - 14 July 2025"

What seems not to be speculation is that something is happening and that the case is being processed and not lying around somewhere.
At least something ist moving.

Last week, Business Sweden and the Swedish Energy Agency, Energimyndigheten co-hosted a delegation of German deeptech battery companies in Sweden. The visit aimed to connect German companies with Swedish leaders in battery innovation, research, and development to explore long-term partnerships and establishments. The visit began in Gothenburg, Sweden’s automotive hub, alongside the 38th Electric Vehicle Symposium. Highlights included visits to Volvo Group for insights on road electrification and the development of the Mariestad battery factory, and to MobilityXlab – a platform connecting emerging tech companies with industry partners to accelerate mobility solutions. In Stockholm, the delegation met with green tech investors and battery researchers, visited the SEEL testbed in Nykvarn, and toured Scania HQ to learn about battery development and support for new ventures. Thank you for valuable contributions: Volvo Group, NOVO Energy, Talga Group, Scania Group, SEEL Swedish Electric Transport Laboratory, mobilityXlab, Business Region Göteborg, Nykvarns kommun, FKG Fordonskomponentgruppen, EVS 38, Kungliga Tekniska högskolan, Chalmers University of Technology, and Uppsala University."
