I was not expecting much revenue this quarter, did I secretly hope, of course I did. It is very frustrating.
However, the world economy is not the greatest atm. I was listening to a report this morning that stated VW are going shut production plants and axe thousands of employees, in Germany, due to rising costs and the inability to compete with Chinese made vehicles.
European economies are not doing so well due to the war in Ukraine, the huge immigration issue, the cost of energy, inflation and the list goes on.
The US is also facing a few challenges of their own, the current election, BRICS, huge debt, supporting 2 wars.
Industries across the globe are restructuring, facing tougher competition, not willing to invest in new ideas that maybe be seen as too risky. The truth is that there is too much uncertainty atm. No one knows where it is all leading to.
While I’d like to rip Sean a new one, it is understandable that getting companies to commit atm is tough going. BRN are not selling a product that is necessary for the survival of mankind. They’re selling a unique product that can enhance, improve, assist, benefit but not vital for the survival of mankind.
Of course it can reduce power usage, one shot learning, work on the edge, improve product efficiency but not necessary for the survival of mankind.
That means that it is a tougher sell, especially when companies are looking at reducing costs and placing new products on the back burner.

We’re all waiting for that big announcement that will propel the SP to dollars instead of cents. Especially after the SP hit $2.34 on news of Mercedes using Akida in a prototype. Imagine if an industry giant confirmed that they would use our IP in their product such as: mobile phones.

What I’m trying to say is that our time will come eventually but it’s going to take longer than what we all would want. I remain optimistic but have also lowered my expectations
The Green left fu…it up! A report in Germany say, 41% of the journalists are left/Green oriented. Can you imagine? How can they report neutral!? But there is hope! People are waking up

Big news from Berlin!

Last week, we invited media to the German capital to participate in our “Insight DRIVE PILOT” event and test our latest advanced driver-assistance systems. For me, this subject is very close to my heart because our cutting-edge ADAS systems simply wouldn’t exist without the integration of our sophisticated software.

The big news was that our DRIVE PILOT SAE Level 3 conditionally automated driving system will soon be the world’s fastest Level 3 system because it can follow a vehicle on the motorway at speeds up to 95 km/h (up from 60 km/h) when certain conditions are met. The technology combines our advanced software architecture with state-of-the-art hardware, such as cameras, radars, ultrasonic sensors, and a LiDAR, and it’s currently being re-certified by Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA). Accreditation is expected for use on German motorways by the end of this year. During conditionally automated driving, DRIVE PILOT takes control, which means the driver can use the time more efficiently, to make calls, surf the internet or even stream a movie.

The event also signalled the launch of our Level 2+ Automatic Lane Change (ALC) in Europe and it presented an opportunity for journalists to test their parking skills using our Active Parking Assist technology.

Added together, these exercises prove once again that Mercedes-Benz is setting industry standards for autonomous driving
.

On the question of lidar, Luminar recently posted a shot of a merc with Luminar lidar

The future of automotive safety was on full display at hashtag#GTC24 as our partners Mercedes-Benz, Volvo Cars, and Polestar all showcased LiDAR technology on their newest vehicles. 🚗 See them for yourself:

Note the widow's peek above the windscreen.

Luminar had earlier posted about developing a slimmed down version when discussing their Mercedes deal, so the hairline bump is pretty impressive.

The higher the lidar is placed, the further it can see.

Luminar also provide software with their lidar, but I didn't find anything to exclude Akida/TENNs.
The lidar bump is interesting.

To reduce drag and noise, the front of the cover glass would need to follow the incline of the windscreen, and, to minimise optical deflection/prismatic effect, the inner side of the glass should be parallel with the outer surface.

🤣🤣🤣 I guess that means there's 54% possibly leaning the other way.

Wrong 41% not 46…
And no you are not right

Greens Highly Overrepresented in Journalist Survey; AfD Not Mentioned

The 2024 long-term study “Journalism and Democracy” reveals that 41 percent of the 525 journalists surveyed in Germany identify with the Greens. The second most common response was “No party,” with 23 percent. While support for the SPD (16 percent) and FDP (3 percent) is relatively consistent with national polls, the Greens and the Left (6 percent) are significantly overrepresented among journalists. In contrast, support for the CDU (8 percent) and BSW (1 percent) is considerably lower in this survey. The AfD does not appear in the study at all.

Hi Frangipani,

I won't be providing any of my thoughts to you on Mercedes-Benz, or anything else for that matter, because of how rude and unreasonable you are being. Cutting and pasting some old responses from the past to try and build a negative portrayal of me is bordering on pathological. I have reported your post and will continue doing so if you persist.

😳 Enough is enough both of you, @Bravo and @Frangipani. We all understand your points now, and both of you had the chance to comment on them, but now it is getting annoying to all of us! And stop reporting each other, because you both are valuable to this forum and we do not want to lose either of you, even if you do not like each other. Please stop this fight and if you can't, then do it via direct message to each other.
Thank you!

I assume we will get Episode 7 of the Quarterly podcasts in November? A key question will be progress of engagements and the amount of interest in PICO and TENNs.

Hi Chips,

It‘s getting annoying for me too. I really shouldn’t have to feel the need to defend myself over and over again. There are more important things to focus on in life. So perhaps it’s time for me to sign out for a little while.

Good luck to all genuine holders. We’ve stuck together through thick and thin and I’m very hopeful that our luck will turn shortly.

Bravo, you can't leave, I love reading your posts, please don't go. I believe I'm not the only one that would really love you to stay. Just put whom ever is upsetting you on ignore, I find it really helps. I'll send you a pic of my cat, he's pretty cute.
