I’m going to follow the example of a few others and leave the forum. Here’s what I would say if someone asked me what's the go BRN:

They are a small tech company aiming to introduce SNN’s to the market. Their technology is well timed and well positioned for the emerging edge market. The company operates on an IP based sales business model.

They launched the original version (1.0), which initially gained traction through license sales to Megachip and Renesas, as well as a joint development agreement (JDA) with Valeo. A batch of chips was produced, and the stock even rose above $2 when Mercedes announced its use in their new experimental prototype car. However, progress eventually stalled, and the company stated that the offering was too narrow and that good enough existing alternatives, made customers reluctant. Currently, neither Megachip nor Renesas have advanced 1.0 to productisation, so royalty revenue has not flowed. The CEO notes that there is still ongoing engagement for version 1.0.

The company continued to develop what they called the AKIDA1500. In August 2023, they received a shipment of AKD1500 chips in silicon from GlobalFoundries, utilising the latest SOI tech. These chips were distributed to customers as reference boards.

About a year later, they announced the early access availability of their second-generation AKIDA 2.0. They decided not to produce in silicon at this stage, although this could change in the future. Although there have been no commercial sales yet, the company continues state there is engagement actively and is still involved in evaluations with serious companies that have productisation deadlines.

Throughout the process, there have been numerous partnerships and the development of an ecosystem. Left over chips from the 1.0 chip run, have gone into edge boxes, to get SNN technology out there.

TENN is another technology the company plans to commercialise in the future. They are currently aggressively promoting it to build market awareness and funds raised from the latest CR will be directed toward its further development. As confirmed in our last price-sensitive announcement the SPP and the recent investor podcast, the CEO explained that they’re only now reaching the stage where they can offer the algorithm and are still building the pre-trained models, with ongoing development underway and future commercialisation to come.

BRN does not provide detailed updates or roadmaps on its commercialisation efforts, which requires investors to have a significant amount of faith. In the absence of company supplied information, investors have turned to two different forums for insights. On both forums, individuals who must spend over 20 hours a week posting have become so emotionally invested or financially trapped in the stock, so they aggressively counter any dissenting views, regardless of how absurd or misleading their claims may be. For instance, recent posts have suggested that TENN’s over-the-air software updates with Mercedes and Valeo are imminent, based on the use of the term "neural network" in LinkedIn posts and claimed that we have a product lineup with 14 offerings.

If you're interested in BRN, DYOR. Understand our current commercial offerings: AKIDA 1.0, AKIDA 1500, and AKIDA 2.0 IP, as well as our revenue model, including IP licensing and royalties. Examine the cash burn rate, cash runway, current revenue and the time likely needed to achieve profitability through IP sales and royalties. We are at a critical juncture.

May you can add a few things here
1. It is taking long time for company to commercialise as the size of company is very small and budget allocation on spending is limited.
2. Company had learned from akida1000 and is working to provide back end support on softwares, algorithms which is a key requirement for broader market
3. TENNs is so unique that no other company can offer the same.
4. Need of SNNs and TENNs is hidden in the fact that they are very energy efficient and right now company is integrating their technology with other main stram technologies.
5. There are more than 4 University programmes run by the company and there are more than 50 ecosystem partners and a few big names out there are NASA, AFDL, ARM, SiFive, Prophesse, Accenture etc.
But yes in the end it is still going through development stage.
It has a current market cap of 350million Australian dollars ( 220 million US dollars)
It is a pre revenue company and right now fighting to sign a few deals. There are quite a few NDAs etc

Ok, her is my attempt at reverse phycology. In the past every time I've bought (and told friends about it) at what I thought was a bargain in most cases it backfired.
I did sell some a while ago to pay a debt which wasn't essential but i thought necessary.
So I hope to regret my sale in the coming weeks/months as I still hold quite a few.

So many dumb gifs. The opinion expressed was correct. Brn has tonnes of potential but minimal runs on the board. In the old sporting expression look at the scoreboard. Unless you brought in many many moons ago you’re in the red. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø another old expression money talks bullshit walks. People need to stop playing the man and play the ball. Ha I’m on fire tonight. Fingers crossed for positive announcement tomorrow. Or next week. Or next month. Maybe before the end of the year.

From a recent QuinetiQ and Wired report.

We get an outline in the neuromorphic section.

They also give some general thoughts on neuromorphic from a defence & national security perspective.

Might notice something about the chip image :)

The foundation stone was laid today for TSMC in Europe, located in eastern Germany, where others such as Intel and GlobalFoundries are also building their plants. We already call it Silicon Saxony.
The plant will specialise in automotive chips.

Bosh, Infineon and NXP are involved in this factory.

Absolutely agree - Tony Lewis was an excellent choice as CTO, as he is so well connected and respected in the neuromorphic community!

I recall Ralph Etienne-Cummings referring to him in another Brains & Machines podcast. The two of them go back a long way, by the way…

Just some examples:

Tony Lewis getting yet another mention by Ralph Etienne-Cummings (Professor of Electrical and Computer engineering at Johns Hopkins University) in the latest Brains & Machines podcast, who also refers to and expresses his interest in the new Akida Edge AI Box (built in partnership with VVDN):

When posting about the recent Brains & Machines podcast with Amirezza Yousefzadah, one of my comments was:

šŸ‘†šŸ»Bingo! So at the time the podcast with Elisa Donati was recorded, Sunny Bains was planning to meet up with our CTO before or after NICE 2024, which means sometime next week! Let’s keep our fingers crossed that this prospective visit of hers will work out and lead to an intriguing podcast episode…

I noticed our CTO Tony Lewis ā€œcelebratingā€ a post by Shamita Etienne-Cummings, the wife of his fellow academic peer in neuromorphic engineering & robotics and long-time co-author (and dare I presume friend?) Ralph Etienne-Cummings, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore (see šŸ‘†šŸ» REC: ā€œYeah, Tony and I have published together quite a bit as well, so we have a long history together.ā€), whom those of you who have listened to one or more episodes of the Brains & Machines podcast will recognise as the regular post-interview discussion partner of Giulia D’Angelo and Sunny Bains.

Possibly it’s merely an acknowledgement of an acquaintance’s or friend’s impressive accomplishment.
(Unfortunately, the linked article about Paul Hastings LLP’s IP & Litigation teams that in March saw six of their current partners make a simultaneous high-profile switch from another big law firm is behind a paywall.)

However, with the very recent under-our-radar exit of our Perth-based patent attorney Milind Joshi in combination with the detailed outline of key risks in the July 25 Investor Presentation (three full pages!), I can’t help but wonder whether there is more to this than a simple šŸ‘šŸ» šŸŽ‰ on LinkedIn.

Are we going to see a change of IP & patent law firm to a (this?) US-based one as part of the consolidation process that also saw the closure of the Perth Research Institute in late June?

And letting the speculations run wild: Could there perhaps even have been a concrete breach of patent or some kind of major dispute for BrainChip to take legal action? Or is another company suing us for breach of patent? (With biotech companies, this seems to happen all the time…)
Finally, putting on rose-coloured glasses, we could ask ourselves whether the timing of such a move to a new IP and patent law firm in the US (provided it materialises) might even bode well for an imminent licensing of our IP, although the recent CR doesn’t exactly suggest this wishful scenario to be of one very high probability?

The above is all pure speculation, of course, as our CTO’s reaction on LinkedIn could be totally coincidental and unrelated, but I wanted to share my observation nevertheless. Time will tell…

I get that it is hard to predict the timelines of other companies that are currently testing Akida or have already committed to using our technology.

But why can’t our company at least keep to self-imposed timelines???
