Funny because just yesterday I was questioning, regarding the trademark rights between them and the European NVISO… It is quite possible that they filed a Europe-wide trademark and didn't reach an agreement. Since our NVISO don't want to operate under a different name in Europe, they decided to choose a new name and protect it worldwide. That would be my line of thought.
More and more mainstream recognition.

In all seriousness though, I respectfully disagree.
Merc or anyone else using their own silicon is actually the best chance for using our IP.
If they didn't, it's not like we are selling Chips on their own to them.
EQXX is like a dev board, and when they like it, the IP will be theirs and we will likely never be mentioned by name again.
Merc would be more likely to advertise the features, than the secret sauce!
