I was just watching 7 News and they had a story about a West Australian team of medical researchers trialling an artificial intelligence powered device for portable and remote testing for early symptoms of developing blindness. The device is also currently in space being used to test the effects of gravity on the eyes of astronauts under the watchful eye of NASA.

Have had a quick google around and could not find anything but it is worth a look by the 1,000 Eyes given how likely is W.A. and NASA to come up together like this.

The formal trials for approval of the medical device are set to commence next year. So this is very early stage in one sense but it sounds like the sort of beneficial use we would hope AKIDA could be put too and I should add they did not name the company in WA in the news item.

They claim their aim is to compete with Nvidia. They have three boards ranging in power consumption from 75 watts to 300 watts. They do deep training neural networks and are chasing software development at the moment to support their systems.

They do not do SNN or low power or Ai/AGi.

They call their current product Greyscale.

So now the older young old man was left to marvel at just how sentient was the old sage all those years ago at the AGM:

Every now and again (quite often actually) we get a Fact Finder classic. Below I have reproduced a classic by Fact Finder from June last year when he 'cross-examined' Marcus Burns after his statement on Livewire Buy, Hold, or Sell, where Marcus said "Who knows what a neuromorphic chip is anyway". As a matter of interest the closing price for BRN on that day was 58.5 cents.

FF. "Did you read the Brainchip price sensitive ASX announcements before expressing your opinion this morning?"

I forgot to mention that it is important when disposing of AKIDA you should place it carefully in the pocket of your wallet or purse as its tiny form factor may make it difficult to find if you inadvertently drop it in long grass on your way to the recycling depot. FF
