Great positive post... enjoyed the readOk… ramblings from a non-important investor…
Lumpy…yep
Was I hoping for better - yep
can we buy more - nope we are skint and can no longer afford anymore.
Is this partly because of Putin/Xi/inflation etc yes to a large degree. However, I also believe (as management keep saying) we have a product that no one else has. So we should be able to sell IP for this revolutionary product. BRN can not keep using the above macro factors as an excuse… BRNs sales pitch and strategy should have pivoted factoring the above etc
Are we selling our life savings - husband raised an eyebrow and considered this…I’m saying HOOOLLDDD. Thankfully he has faith in wifey.
Gifting our 8 year old (asks about BRN every day and listens to the podcasts with me, secretly I think she is hoping it will soon pay for a trip to Disneyland… when it reaches $5 we say) and 4 year old children 2500 BRN shares each as a Christmas present from our pool of shares…soooo BRN a price sensitive announcement or two would be greatly appreciated (yes I know it will take more than a single announcement to reach $5 - but a good start), but not if it is to the detriment of the business.
Anyways just my ramblings… Keeping the faith and hopefully this is the life changing investment for our family we hope and believe it is.
P.s - thank you all for your contributions… helped clarify a lot today and helped keep the faith… MB, Edge Impulse, Proph…
Waiting for the next monthly podcast… not long to go now.
Have a good night all![]()
Thanks for the kind message mate.Your post earlier today was excellent N.
I also bought a small parcel today as well.
Short-term pain is going to continue for some time in my opinion, the only way this pattern will change is obvious, but at present the shorts, down-rampers, short-term punters, even my negative neighbor gave me a serve, so I just told him that I had bought more, the average joe just doesn't know or understand our company to the degree that I and many here do, it's not an easy gig selling this technology, despite what we all probably think.
Even Lou liked to throw out the expression, "lumpy revenue".
Sean doesn't need to attempt to explain, why at present, though fluff wording needs to remain out of his CEO comments, in my opinion. they do more harm than good, and remember he's only held this position for some 10 months, during which time has basically rebranded the company and helped employ some key personnel.
Despite being a little frustrated with the current situation, I personally feel that my revised timeline is very fair, that being, 2 solid years of growth ahead, I'm not one for making excuses or hearing them, we all make daily choices, as do the Brainchip key staff, let's hope that they all remain accountable for theirs, on our behalf that is.
Almost a father, congratulations from Uncle Tech x![]()
Based upon the above, which I am assuming is from an email reply from the company, we can expect the cash (from Megachips) to be visible between end Jan and end April 2023?A COUPLE OF FACTS:
1. As to whether the company has sufficient capital the answer is a resounding yes.
They have the $US24 million in the 4C and the LDA Capital agreement which has a further $28 million they can draw down.
So total capital reserves of $52 million to keep the wolf from the door.
No capital raise being considered.
2. The accounts receivable are due from MegaChips as part of the original agreement.
The goods have been delivered but under the agreement terms are not yet fully invoiced.
They will be fully invoiced by 23 December, 2023.
In other words the agreement spreads payment by MegaChips over two years for the IP and engineering fees.
It will teach me to ask and not assume.
So what we have had is one of the CEO Sean Hehir’s lumpy 4C’s.
My opinion only DYOR

Throwing this in from the sidelines and bolting behind some cover....“In the coming quarter, the Company will focus on key sales targets and converting technical evaluations into paid licenses.”
This comment has me intrigued.
Sean has not struck me as a CEO who throws away comments. Every interview has been clear and considered.
I’m sure he knows that by the making this statement he is creating the expectancy of paid licences occurring during this next quarter. (Note the plural).
This means we are to expect announcements. Otherwise he is putting his reputation on the line.
The team have described him as laser focussed! Sloppy comments I don’t expect.
Am I reading too much into it?
Yet you hold even at this lofty valuation?Twat or not. The truth hurts eh?
Report me for being accurate..
Rising rates, tighter valuations. Amazing BRN is still valued over $200million.
Seems like the only hype is with gullible investors, and overpaid employees, instead of a single product producing a royalty 2 years after the first IP deal, in this supposed soon to be $65billion market as the supposed market leader..
Give me a spell.
Hi Sly, I would assume that you would be a fan of high fructose corn syrup. LOLI intentionally left out any mention of exercise as it has little to do with the subject matter of the post I was replying to regarding the Food Revolution video.
Exercise, in and of itself, does not make you lose weight. Changing your lifestyle DOES! And that starts with forgetting the lies you have been force-fed regarding diet.
I encourage an active lifestyle. Being active keeps you healthy and makes you feel better. But even vigorous exercise will not make up for a bad diet.
That a sedentary lifestyle causes obesity is a common misconception and is also completely misguided. Exercise does next to nothing to keep you slim. It has an immense impact on your fitness and physical well being but does next to nothing for weight control.
I watched a documentary on TV, only last week, that studied a hunter-gatherer tribe in Africa. They started with the hypothesis that these people were super active and must burn more calories than the average couch potatoe. The males averaged something like 20km on foot each day. Long term tracking of just about everything to do with the diet and body chemistry, showed they burned no more calories, and actually averaged less than the average western couch potatoe. Their bodies had simply adapted to their way of life, and that way of life didn't result in storing body fat.
The following link is to a related article (not the documentary that was on TV—I don't remember it's title so can't look it up)
The Exercise Paradox
Simply stated, the human body is very efficient and will attempt to reach homeostasis whenever possible. The body's metabolism will speed up or slow down to adapt to differences in the equation of energy needs vs energy consumed, and when excess is consumed, it will simply store that excess as fat.
I had originally penned many more lines of text but deleted them as this discussion is off topic.
Some people here are clearly out of their depth and should never have entered the water.I don't appreciate the passive aggressive and condescending tone mate.
You can continue to blame everyone else but the reality is our share price is back in the 60s because we are not generating enough revenue to justify our market cap.
Spin it all you like but had we generated $40 million revenue this quarter, would we have dropped over 20 percent or ended up well in the green, regardless of all the other conditions you are trying to shift blame to.
Blind Freddie knows the answer to that.
I’m not hiding anywhere, I expect signed deals this quarter.Throwing this in from the sidelines and bolting behind some cover....
You could also look at that statement
"In the coming quarter, the Company will focus on key sales targets and converting technical evaluations into paid licenses.”
As they we're not focusing on that during the last quarter.

I wasn't suggesting that you are hiding sorry it came across that way. I meant myself as I expect a few bombs thrown my way for suggesting that other interpretation.I’m not hiding anywhere, I expect signed deals this quarter.
And yes they were working on them previously but have got to a point where they are ready to close, hence the pointed comment. As we are constantly told, words matter.
Clueless mate - there’s more going here than you realise.Twat or not. The truth hurts eh?

Expectation has been too high too soon!! .... patience will prevail!!Looks like two sides have emerged due to this poor 4c. On one hand, it's the investors who have a stable long-term vision but seem to ignore any red flags. On the other hand, it's investors like me who lose faith in the long-term vision due to these mentioned red flags.
I'll never be able to fully comprehend the technology like uiux or diogenese do, but I have faith that the companies that somehow are related, working with us in one way or another know what they're doing.
However, none of the mentioned more logos, a lot of ip licensing going forward, watch the financials, revenue growth outgrow expense growth or something like that and most likely even more promises that I don't know about have been met at all.
This was the worst outcome possible—No revenue whatsoever during the worst Financial Times we've had in over a decade.
It's the first time I'm seriously doubting that the management is capable of bringing the technology forward. I hope I'm wrong because I'm not selling. I see a lot of posters postponing the timeline by 1-2 years as a reaction, but in my eyes they're just in denial. Let's see how this one plays out in the near term future.
