We already knew about Edge Impulse... but surely this has to be Akida IP....

View attachment 661

It seems that Edge Impulse works with a variety of different development boards.

I am hoping that once people start receiving their Akida PCIe boards members of the Open Source community will assist in creating integrations for solutions like Edge Impulse, Frigate and its integration with Home Assistant and even Akida support for the Lava Software Framework which is not specifically designed just for one neuromorphic processor.

Hopefully, some of the new talent (possibly interns) that BrainChip will be hiring may be tasked to work on some of these integrations.

I would certainly like to be part of any Open Source initiatives and I would love to see Akida working in a larger scope than image recognition and keyword spotting which probably comprise the majority of examples out there.

Mr Hopalong,

You may find the whole patent business unsexy, but some of us have our own fetishes ...
I noticed about half an hour ago that there is an ignore button. At the time I thought this will be never needed here in this safe place. Then I discover Hoppy does not think Patents are sexy. How wrong was I. FF

The corner of that picture says "Classify using YOLOv5"
YOLOv5 is created by Ultralytics - https://github.com/ultralytics/yolov5
This is their website: https://ultralytics.com/yolov5

On the About us page (https://ultralytics.com/about) it says this:
"We’ve been surfing the AI landscape since 2014, working with the US Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defence initiatives (DoD) in the fields of particle physics, data science, and artificial intelligence."
Also mentions: "You don’t have to be a scientist, a tech guru or even a genius to tap into the wonders of AI. With our own AI architecture, YOLOv5, anyone can use artificial intelligence."

Although it says "with our own AI architecture", I guess their own architecture can be powered by Brainchip IP in the backend?
And also considering they say they are working with US Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) there could very well be a Brainchip link somewhere in this puzzle.

Also considering Rob Telson liking the Linkedin page for Edge Impulse, in my opinion there has to be a connection somewhere?

Let me know your thoughts/opinions?

IMO. DYOR. Not financial advice.
Hi John,

Just to clarify YOLO v5 is the architecture. Think of it as an alternative neural network model to MobileNet, which can also be run on Akida.

I've said this before but I suspect we'll see Edge Impulse emerge as a partner at some stage.

They have a fairly simple interface which allows users with next to no coding experience to setup their own microcontrollers (like Raspberry Pi's) for machine learning. You can literally drag and drop data onto their site and it will do all the hard work for you.

Now really Mr Dodge.......sheep's is a whole other story!
But this is a family show, so I can't go there. :)
You and FF can play with your dusty old patents to your hearts content.
Me........ I'm content to roll naked in money on a bed! :)

Could not be happier with the new CEO. Sean is razor sharp, focused, competitive and a great communicator. In addition collaboration between Ron and Sean, demonstrates he’s a good guy. Company is in very safe hands.

Keep spreading the word.

I recall their name being mentioned a few times by the specialist systems project manager on an airport development I worked on not so long ago. By 'specialist systems' I mean all the IT, systems integration and electronic security systems installed in the airport. I cannot remember exactly what Capgemini did but I think they were a subconsultant to our main systems integration contractor. I only remember them as I thought the name was curious.

To me that’s an interesting one because I think it is similar in design to AI in hearing aids. I think BrainChip is linkEd to Oticon (an Ai hearing aid producer). All speculation but something has to reveal itself soon.

Loving the threads all, well done for getting this up and running Z. Got pretty excited by this dot however it looks like it's NVIDIA Jetson Nano.
