Had deep dive into their website including personnel and advertised positions and my view though I may be wrong is there is no one on staff with a background in the SNN technology. They mainly have a software background and a couple have worked extensively on compressing neural networks for use with Accelerators. Their device despite using the term programmable is limited to sound and any programming is done in advance based on the intended use. Not even in the extras on the AKIDA technology set.

My opinion only DYOR
FF

AKIDA BALLISTA
FF, long may you resort to family members to solve your minor problems. But long may we, your fellow Brainchip collaborators, thank you for your deep dives into potential leads that normal mortals would not have the wherewithal to tackle. Sincere admiration.

seeds have the potential to become trees.
As we all know there is ongoing engagement between Tata and Brainchip.

I found this post interesting. What other Australian Company is Tata working with regards to Ethical AI?

Sounds like this person is as excited as we are!

Ps:
Speculation only

Veritone Selected by Department of Defense in $249 Million BPA to Accelerate AI Capabilities of Joint Artificial Intelligence Center

Veritone, Inc. (NASDAQ: VERI), creator of aiWARE, a hyper-expansive enterprise AI platform, today announced it has been selected as an AI partner in a $249 million Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) awarded by the Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC). Under the terms of the agreement, the JAIC will be able to leverage the Veritone aiWARE platform and key applications for Test & Evaluation (T&E) capabilities to accelerate the government’s full spectrum of emerging AI technologies including Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), and Neural Networks (NN).
“We are pleased to be among the select companies entrusted by the DoD to advance its mission to accelerate the delivery of AI-enabled capabilities, scale the department-wide impact of AI, and synchronize DoD AI activities to expand Joint Force advantages,” said Jon Gacek, head of government, Veritone.

A little bit of background:
2017
Veritone + Quantum Corp

Then March 2018
BrainChip Studio and Quantum StorNext® integration provides rapid searches of archive video or live streams to identify objects or faces

Then April 2018
COSTA MESA, Calif. -- April 5, 2018

Veritone® Inc. (NASDAQ: VERI), a leading provider of artificial intelligence
(AI) and cognitive solutions, today announced the upcoming launch of a
market-first update to its AI operating system, aiWARE™, which will enable the
platform to support real-time AI processing. The aiWARE real-time framework is
scheduled to launch in April 2018 with natural language processing (NLP)
engines, and Veritone plans to expand its offering of real-time enabled
engines across the rest of the company’s 15-plus cognitive categories,
including transcription, sentiment, visual moderation, translation, as well as
object, face, and optical character recognition
, during 2018.

Then
SAN FRANCISCO, April 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — BrainChip Holdings Ltd. (“BrainChip” or the “Company”) (ASX:BRN), a leading developer of software and hardware accelerated solutions for advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning applications, today announced that it has signed an agreement with Veritone®, Inc. (NASDAQ:VERI) to integrate its AI-powered BrainChip Studio with the Veritone aiWARE™ platform.

Jon Gacek was CEO at Quantum in 2017, same time as Louis DiNardo was a board director.
Jon Gacek left Quantum Nov 2017 and is now head of Government, Legal and Compliance at Veritone
Louis DiNardo took over CEO Brainchip Oct 2016
Appreciate the work gone into this but I’m confident the Veritone announcement hasn’t lead to anything

@Chilling - are you William H Macey? I've read your posts for a while and they remind me of the role he played in The Cooler. Friendly, slightly diffident but a real downer on everyone around him. It was a deliberate tactic by his casino employer to reduce the buzz of a successful punter. We're not punters, we're investors - and I have a suspicion you're not an investor like us - I think you may be a little escapee from that other place, just sowing seeds of doubt. If I'm wrong then tell me so and I'll back off while I read your positive posts about our great company. BAAAAAALLLLISTA
Yes I am definitely a long term investor but not a cheerleader am looking for real revenue and commercial success I appreciate the founders are undoubtedly brilliant minds who have a brilliant product in a huge growing field but that doesn't always translate to commercial success as you would well know.
I suspect alot of you shall we say elder investors in Brainchip are already independently wealthy and your Brainchip investment is just the icing on the cake and as a such ignore any potential negative press. I am definitely not in this position and am guarding my investment in Brainchip carefully and if it reaches a point I will unfortunately have to sell half of my investment not held through super time frame wont come into it
So I will continue to ask myself why has something happened or hasnt happened has the game changed.
Go and play your violin somewhere worthwhile to those clowns on hot crapper instead of wasting it on me.

Completely agree mate. I was talking to my old mans best mate who is a prominent financial advisor/stock analyst. I rang him to discuss brainchip and he had never heard of them..he took one look and wasn’t interested. The big boys are still on the sidelines when it comes to BRN so the real fun will begin once our revenue substantially increases
Big boys don't usually invest in start-ups. Look at the FAANGS when they were at the same stage as BRN. Just entering commercialisation. They need to see significant revenue before becoming interested. They're happy to buy in at $20-$30 and ride it to $100 etc

Hey Chilling,

Just curious to know what the negative press is that you think some amongst us are ignoring? What is "the point" at which you think you may have to sell half of your shares? You also talked about asking yourself if the game has changed or not. Can you elaborate on this because I'm not clear about what you're referring to. Just interested to hear your response is all.

Hi Proga,

Valeo
i am very excited about the prospect of Akida being used with Valeo’s sensors. We know for a fact they have an agreement. What that agreement is for is still subject to an NDA. We know “Lidar is Akida’s sweet spot.”

We know Valeo have stated they intend (and I suggest) have already started making 3 bilion sensors over the next 5 years.

It’s all in their financial and strategic presentation I have posted numerous times because I think it is a very important document for Brainchips short term future. https://www.valeo.com/wp-content/up...eUp_Strategic_Financial_Outlook_2022-2025.pdf

If you haven’t read the presentation it has some very impressive figures included :)

In the Valeo document is the following image which is labelled:

Application software: Mobileye, Qualcomm, Nvidia
Core software: (basis and middleware) Autosar
Software Foundary: (Toolchain) AWS, Microsoft. Interestingly those two were also in an image with SiFive posted by DIO today.

View attachment 4869

So the above images are relative to the software. My opinion is that Akida will form part of the hardware making the numerous sensors smart.

It’s common knowledge Valeo are part of Mercedes Drive Pilot. Their latest video from their CTO has him pointing at their lidar in the grill of the car. It’s obviously a very important part of the system because it offers unique technology which is a key part heading towards autonomous driving.

My take on it is that just like you need different ingrediants to bake a cake you need different software/hardware for autonomous vehicles.

I offer no guarantees but I believe Akida is the secret sauce!

Cheers.
SG,

I have no doubt Akida is the secret sauce but I'm a little confused with what. Are you suggesting Akida will be used in Valeo's sensors for lidar which Merc are incorporating in their vehicles in 2022? Will those same sensors be used by Merc when they incorporate whatever Nvidia/BRN are working on to be implemented in 2024? If so we should expect some revenue later this year.

Hi Bravo I wont be listing any negatives here or elsewhere they are really just unanswered questions at this point time will be the teller technology does evolve very quickly so alot of situations or uses can change for better or worse this is what I mean by game change.
My sell point is personal but just as anyone it is to save my bank and I really hope and dont expect it to be in play I bought more shares last week.
I am very positive on Brainchip and really hoping it can do great things time will tell.

Hi @Diogenese

I just have to tell the others that it is essential to go to the Brainchip SiFive thread and read your most recent post over there. Friends it is a beauty.

Those that don't take heed of your advice to check out that post shall miss the bus.
