Intiguingly Autobrain's Founder and CEO Igal Raichelgauz started his Ph.D. research at the Technion in the field of cortical neural networks. If Technion sounds familiar, it is because of this.

Attempting to drill down a bit more on Autobrains’ self-learning AI technology and have found numerous patents filed by Autobrain's Founder and CEO Igal Raichelgauz. Maybe something for @Diogenese to look over? I could be completely off-track here but it seems like the signature-based technology functions a little similarly to spiking neural networks (see section highlighted in blue shown on the attachment).

As stated in a previously posted article "Current market solutions are unable to cover unpredictable edge-cases without more complex, self-learning-based algorithms - these are essential push factors in order to truly transform the automotive industry. Autobrains' self-learning application thwarts these challenges. Developing advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving solutions, Autobrains' AI technology is designed to learn like the human brain, through neural networks, and process information the same way as humans. The avant-garde approach applies "human learning" by using a signature-based technology, enabling cars to learn, collaborate and interact with the real world with no supervision, utilizing data and scenarios from the car's surroundings to enable decision-making just like the human brain, in real time"

Thanks and also to others that answered.

Well if I buy the 25K I will increase my position with around 20% so I already have a few.

I am still fairly spread out in other stocks but if I get those shares the boat will start listing a bit to BRN side, LOL.

Yes the CEO seems like the real deal, knows what he is talking about, honest and very likely very hard working and he makes it clear he can't in most cases tell us who dealing with the company but the ones we know about are very high profile in their different sectors.

When a company is hiring is always a very good sign, expanding the sale staff and also engineers, they are very busy it seems, a super good sign.

I know most people here are very bullish and so am I and I can't really find any negative things about the company and their Alkida chips since no one else have anything like it on the market.

I don't know if any of the big chip companies are getting closer to make a chip that can compete to Alkida? that's my biggest fear right now.

The big companies spend millions if not billions into research and they are not stupid so I wonder when they can come up with a similar product?
I just don't fully understand how these other potential competitor's could ever get around our patents that are in place.

I will make it easier for you again and steal the following extract from @uiux over on the Intellisense thread. I have even highlighted the relevant parts including the uses outside of NASA for those who say there is no money to be made from NASA engagements:

Estimated Technology Readiness Level (TRL) :
Begin: 3
End: 4

Technical Abstract (Limit 2000 characters, approximately 200 words):
Intellisense Systems, Inc. proposes in Phase II to advance development of a Neuromorphic Enhanced Cognitive Radio (NECR) device to enable autonomous space operations on platforms constrained by size, weight, and power (SWaP). NECR is a low-size, -weight, and -power (-SWaP) cognitive radio built on the open-source framework, i.e., GNU Radio and RFNoC™, with new enhancements in environment learning and improvements in transmission quality and data processing. Due to the high efficiency of spiking neural networks and their low-latency, energy-efficient implementation on neuromorphic computing hardware, NECR can be integrated into SWaP-constrained platforms in spacecraft and robotics, to provide reliable communication in unknown and uncharacterized space environments such as the Moon and Mars. In Phase II, Intellisense will improve the NECR system for cognitive communication capabilities accelerated by neuromorphic hardware. We will refine the overall NECR system architecture to achieve cognitive communication capabilities accelerated by neuromorphic hardware, on which a special focus will be the mapping, optimization, and implementation of smart sensing algorithms on the neuromorphic hardware. The Phase II smart sensing algorithm library will include Kalman filter, Carrier Frequency Offset estimation, symbol rate estimation, energy detection- and matched filter-based spectrum sensing, signal-to-noise ratio estimation, and automatic modulation identification. These algorithms will be implemented on COTS neuromorphic computing hardware such as Akida processor from BrainChip, and then integrated with radio frequency modules and radiation-hardened packaging into a Phase II prototype. At the end of Phase II, the prototype will be delivered to NASA for testing and evaluation, along with a plan describing a path to meeting fault and tolerance requirements for mission deployment and API documents for integration with CubeSat, SmallSat, and rover for flight demonstration.

Potential NASA Applications (Limit 1500 characters, approximately 150 words):
NECR technology will have many NASA applications due to its low-SWaP and low-cost cognitive sensing capability. It can be used to enhance the robustness and reliability of space communication and networking, especially cognitive radio devices. NECR can be directly transitioned to the Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate (HEOMD) Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) Program, CubeSat, SmallSat, and rover to address the needs of the Cognitive Communications project.

Potential Non-NASA Applications (Limit 1500 characters, approximately 150 words):
NECR technology’s low-SWaP and low-cost cognitive sensing capability will have many non-NASA applications. The NECR technology can be integrated into commercial communication systems to enhance cognitive sensing and communication capability. Automakers can integrate the NECR technology into automobiles for cognitive sensing and communication.

My opinion only DYOR

I wonder if the communications company Sean Hehir the CEO referred to that they are engaged with currently takes the time to read NASA SBIR
applications.

If so this might have caught their attention and been the driver of a telephone call to Brainchip to have a chat:

"The NECR technology can be integrated into commercial communication systems to enhance cognitive sensing and communication capability."

Then again this would just kick sand in the face of those over at HC who denied that there was any commercial value to be had with engaging with NASA. 😉

A method for an unsupervised training of a neural network, the method comprises:
initializing a neural network that exhibits at least one invariance;
performing multiple training iterations until reaching a last training iteration in which a stop condition is fulfilled;
wherein each training iteration except the last training iteration comprises: processing a vast number of media units by the neural network to provide media unit signatures;
finding that the stop condition is not reached, and changing multiple neural network weights;
wherein the stop condition is related to signatures similarities
.

I just don't fully understand how these other potential competitor's could ever get around our patents that are in place.
There is also the development time line that needs to be followed by everyone to bring a product to market.

We post here a press release from a group or company about some breakthrough that they have achieved. If we allow that this is in fact a true breakthrough and they are genuine look at how long the giants of this space have been working on their products and in this regard I refer you to True North from IBM and Loihi 1 & 2 from Intel. These guys had hundreds of millions a year to spend unlike Brainchip that had $100 million over 10 years and a handful of staff.

Then think about how will an amazing breakthrough be manufactured at scale if it is revolutionary. Brainchip achieved this by steering clear of memristors and analogue and ReRAM and DRam and anything else that was problematic with current production methods. Even carbon nanotube connections in lieu of copper on a conventional silicon chip is not coming to market yesterday. This is clearly proven science but which foundry is closing down a line to spend a few billion dollars so they can retool and produce chips using this technology.

This is all before we get the question of price competitiveness sorted out. It might be better than AKD1000 at $25.00 but will it be better at $100 or $200 or $300 a chip. At one stage the price of Loihi 1 was being quoted in the range of $80 to $120 US. Is it four to six times better than AKD1000 to someone building a sensor and even if it is would that be enough to buy it over AKD1000.

Sure there can be scientific and engineering breakthroughs but at the moment with world wide demand exceeding semiconductor supply does anyone like the chances of being able to walk into TSMC and say look this is revolutionary tech and we need you to build an entire new production facility to build this at scale to saturate the market.

Think about all the fears and concerns we had in 2017, 2018, 2019 and up until October, 2020 when the then CEO Mr. Dinardo announced that AKD1000 had been successfully produced these fears and concerns are all there for any new wiz bang technology breakthrough that might be found today, tomorrow, next year and at anytime into the future.

So I personally say relax and enjoy the 2 to 3 year market lead.

My opinion only DYOR

KMP's and the Board are all driving Mercedes??? 😂🤣 FF
I assume Ford want to stay undisclosed hoping that others will assume that the earlier announcement in 2020 competition will believe that they are no longer involved.
Boy Mercedes, Ford, possibly GM,Chrysler ! Imagine the future royalties from these bad boys !
I guess we can speculate that any automotive company that will use Valeo LiDAR would be involved with Brainchip.

We have the world's easiest job just sitting on our hands and be patient for a few years as the AI edge forecast as mentioned by Tony Dawe compounds each year. 100 billion market in 5 years and guess who has fully patented first mover advantage. 😉

Hi Guzzi,

My input re your question comes with the disclaimer that I have absolutely no idea of what I’m talking about. Whilst Dio talks about electrons, memristors and weights my mosquito trap discusses salt, rum, sticks and rocks; so we are on completely different levels. :)

I am heavily invested in Brainchip and I am very confident with where it’s at.

Do you believe in the technology, e.g. is it fake?

If it’s real is there a need for it? I think yes.

Are companies taking it up? NASA, Mercedes and the long list FF has produced appears to be.

Is the Brainchip run by reputable leading professionals? I think yes.

Is there money to sustain Brainchip until it becomes self sustainable/profitable? From memory about $50 million.

Do I see Brainchip going bankrupt/bust or failing? No. We are at the leading edge of a revolutionary technology. I see it being taken up by at least the EAP’s who have heavily invested to get it operational in their products. Reality is, there might be an unknown technology about to come out which surpasses Akida, I doubt it. And if it does I am hopeful it is Akida 2000. But it would be foolish to think it couldn’t happen. Look at VHS vs Beta! Beta was actually the better product but VHS won that battle. This is why I agree with Mr. Hehir’s philosophy of getting Akida out there as quickly as possible so it becomes the defacto standard!

Is the Brainchip moving from R & D to commercialisation? Again yes.

So my opinion is that Brainchip is moving from virtually no income to large commercial agreements. That equates to me a rise in the share price.

In reality it will take time but the possibilities are massive.

However Brainchip might just make a little profit and only double or triple my investment. To me it still means over the course of the next 5 years the SP will go up and much more than the bank can offer me. Even if we were to be bought out (which I very very highly doubt) that would have to be profitable or else the Shareholders would say no.

So for the next 5 years at least I consider Brainchip to be a good investment with potential to be an ASX unicorn over a longer period.

Your personal circumstances dictate how much you can afford to lose and your personality etc determines your mindset and how much you are prepared to put at risk.

I wish I could speak to how super etc works but my super legislation won’t let me touch mine. That legislation changes in November so I’ll see where the SP is around then as to what action I take as I will need financial and tax advice to give me some guidance also. I am confident in the company at it’s current SP but it’s got to mathematically make sense to make the change.

Good Luck and remember: ”I know nothing!”
S, my rationale has always been pretty simple. Look for red flags.
- promises, with no delivery
-dilution, with no progress
-excessive bonuses, with toy hurdles
-competition swamping ur product/ip/patents, and leaving u well behind.
-debt levels that become intractable
-little, or no market uptake, with minimal possibilities
I'm seeing none of this. With a buy in price in the low single digits, I've seen nothing but green flags for nigh on 6 yrs. It's been a rocky ride, but thru patience, has held me in good stead. Hold the faith. The fun has not even started.

RF CMOS SoCs welcome Wi-Fi sensing standard 802.11bf

BY MASAKAZU URADE
COMMENT 1
Print Friendly, PDF & Email
In 2024, the IEEE will unveil a new Wi-Fi standard—802.11bf—with specifications that will turn wireless devices into sensors capable of collecting data about people and objects by calculating how they disturb the signals bouncing around a physical space. Established Wi-Fi devices will become part of networks used to determine the location and interactions of humans and objects within a particular area.

The new standard will mark a significant shift in data transmission as sensors assume an integral role in how the information will be captured, deciphered, and utilized. It will also make Wi-Fi sensing ubiquitous and encourage the creation of innovative connected systems and applications that benefit from highly-integrated sensor technologies.

A wide range of applications will benefit from this sensor manifestation of the Wi-Fi network. Source: Socionext

Below are some of the use cases that can benefit from an RF CMOS-based SoC:

  1. Broadcasting: Streaming video directly on TVs, mobile devices, and in-vehicle infotainment systems.
  2. LPWA networks: Transmission of various sensing data from IoT devices using wireless communications.
  3. Ka-band satellite communications: Connectivity anytime, anywhere.
  4. Vehicle-to-everywhere (V2X): Vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communications for supporting autonomous driving.
  5. 79 GHz RF radar: Support for advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) applications.
  6. 24 GHz RF radar: Enables detection of suspicious individuals and approaching objects and automatically triggers an alarm and video recording before an incident occurs.
  7. 60 GHz RF radar: Multiple antennas such as 2TX and 4RX MIMOs and wide bandwidth FMCW chips can perform various sensing functions like detecting the position of multiple persons within the vehicle. It can also detect vital signs, which helps prevent drivers from accidentally leaving babies, children, or pets alone in a car.
