New rights issue for former employee, resigned and his options subsequently lapsed. Personally I don't feel good about issuing 8 million options to a former employee. Won't get my vote.
Disagree. Doesn't this proposal reflect the dignity and decency of our management in terms of conducting business?

I appreciate the sentiment and the value it may have brought to the linkedin poll, but posts about the crapper or crapper actions literally have NOTHING to do with this community. If anyone wants to cry about the crapper, cry about it over at the crapper. Simple.
Anyway.. We all see shit differently.. :) So meh..

TCS Launches New Collaboration with Microsoft: To Build Autonomous Solutions with Project Bonsai to Help Manufacturers Transform
Tata Consultancy Services' New Autonomous Industrial Control Solutions Will be Showcased at TCS' Network of Pace Port™ Innovation Centers

MUMBAI | SEATTLE, October 13, 2022: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) has launched a new collaboration with Microsoft to leverage its deep domain knowledge in industrial control systems and build new AI-powered autonomous solutions using Project Bonsai, a low-code, secure, and compliant AI platform, on Microsoft Azure Cloud.

TCS will use the low-code platform to accelerate the development of these cutting-edge, autonomous solutions that can sense and respond in real time, optimizing equipment and processes. These solutions help companies modernize their manufacturing, reduce downtime and material wastage, improve quality and throughput, and enhance employee safety.

TCS has already developed a warehouse optimization solution using Project Bonsai as part of its "build-with" initiative with Microsoft. In addition, it is planning to build AI-powered autonomous solutions in the following areas:
  • Manufacturing yield optimization: Provide optimal recommendations to operators in areas such as machine calibration, process optimization, and industrial controls.
  • Chemical processing: Maximize production and minimize wastage and energy cost through optimized transition between product variants, process control or machine calibration.
  • Logistics and supply chain optimization: Minimize disruptions and improve customer experience with resilient and optimized supply chain solutions.
  • Energy management: Dynamically manage environmental parameters in a building to optimize energy spent and maximize equipment lifetime.

To make it easier for customers to experiment and innovate, TCS will showcase these autonomous solutions at its Pace Ports™, its global network of co-innovation hubs that bring together a collaborative ecosystem of startups, technology partners, and academia.

"TCS' deep industry knowledge and expertise in autonomous systems along with our investments in building capabilities and solutions on Microsoft's Project Bonsai will help clients accelerate their manufacturing technology transformation. Our AI-powered autonomous control solutions will help them better control complex and dynamic industrial processes, reduce the load on human experts, and manage multiple, conflicting optimization goals," said Siva Ganesan, Global Head, Microsoft Business Unit, TCS.

"AI and autonomous technology are going to reshape how organizations do business and will help solve some of the industry's biggest challenges, whether it's optimizing manufacturing or managing energy and climate systems," said Mark Hammond, VP & GM, Autonomous Systems, Microsoft. "We are delighted to be working with Tata Consultancy Services to help customers in their journey from automation to autonomy. The combination of TCS' AI and control systems experience with Project Bonsai capabilities will accelerate the creation of autonomous solutions that help customers drive efficiency and business results."

With over 50,000 trained professionals on Microsoft technologies, TCS has completed over 1,000 successful Azure engagements for hundreds of global customers. TCS is one of the most recognized partners in the Microsoft ecosystem. It won the 2022 Microsoft Partner of the Year for Global SI & Advisory Digital Transformation, Retail & Consumer Goods, SAP on Azure, US Advisory Services, and US Financial Services, in addition to recognition in nine other global categories. It is one of the first Microsoft partners to attain Solutions Partner status in five solution areas. Additionally, it has achieved 17 Microsoft Advanced Specializations, is a member of the 2022/2023 Inner Circle for Microsoft Business Applications, and is a designated Microsoft Azure Expert Managed Service Partner. Now at 48% let’s blow the socks of the other options. Reading the comments is quite entertaining as it pretty much all about Neuromorphic. This would be amazing exposure to Brainchip! Go and vote!

Accelerate IoT Development with Arm Virtual Hardware on AWS

#arm#iot#aws#devops

.....
A new paradigm for IoT software development and testing is needed, and Arm Virtual Hardware is the solution.

What is Arm Virtual Hardware?

Arm Virtual Hardware (AVH) is a family of functionally accurate representations of Arm-based processors, systems, and third-party hardware. AVH enables embedded and IoT developers to build and test software using modern agile software practices without the need for hardware.

Hi Sirod,

This has the potential to speedup the adoption of Akida IP with ARM processors, and we already know how that works with the ARM Cortex microprocessor.

Hi everyone!
Could the NDAs be protecting Brainchip until we have all the patents approved?
Cheers everyone love this group.
Hi Vanman,

I don't think that is the case.

We will be filing new patent applications for years to come.

I think the NDAs are mainly about protecting customer commercial secrets, and that the customers determine when the need for secrecy ends.

I will go and post the same thing. Let’s flood HC with this Linked In poll. Apparently the shortest feels threatened by it. Lol
But then the shorters would vote for one of the other choices.

Hi @Diogenese
I know it is a long way back now but in 2020 the then CEO Mr. Dinardo stated when answering questions in a webinar that as far as NDA's go they were often requested by Brainchip not the potential customer as they were crucial to Brainchip's plan.

I personally can see two obvious reasons for Brainchip wanting NDA's the first being to protect trade secrets and the second to keep the left hand guessing about what the right hand is up to so that individual potential customers can feel like they are the only ones in the world who have discovered the best kept technology secret.

The filing of new patents is as you point out going to be a continuing part of Brainchip's story but I personally also believe that the use of NDA's will also be ongoing. The current next generation AKIDA will be very tightly wrapped in secrecy as it is rolled out to customers in just the same way as AKIDA 1.0 has been and for the same reasons. Staying years ahead is all about keeping the opposition guessing. This use of NDA's is common place in the tech space to the extent that the CEO of TATA specifically addressed shareholders in 2020 as to why the use of NDA's was critical to TATA's ability to compete with Chinese companies.

Let's hope they mention Akida technology many times out of the blue like last time.

With NDA's, this public exposure will make many shorts happy :)

Thanks FF,

I agree that there are some reasons for BrainChip to maintain secrecy.

Patent applications are kept confidential by the patent office for a time after filing, usually 18 months, so it would be of some benefit to Brainchip to keep them under wraps for that period, but after that, the patent specification is publicly available, and serious competitors will be monitoring our patent applications.

Any inventive IP we discuss with customers should be covered by a patent application before we start negotiations in order not to invalidate the patent, so an 18 month embargo on disclosure as part of BrainChip's conditions would be useful in order to keep competitors in the dark as long as possible.

I guess that it is also in BrainChip's interest to keep its customer list under wraps to fend off attempts to gazump our business arrangements. Once the customer is fully committed to Akida this becomes less important, eg Mercedes.

But I think that normally the customer would want secrecy to be maintained at least until product launch.
