BRN Discussion Ongoing

Back to BRN tech im hoping we have a podcast soon. I wander if ROB would consider adding an AMA at the end of a podcast from TSE. Questions we can ask without crossing any NDA boundries.
I'd love a podcast with Ken and Fact. Just shooting the breeze but it would be interrogation style. FF asking all the probing questions. Poor Kenny would be sweating up a storm by the end of it.

The way I look at it is that "if" there are any ongoing agreements in place by now then there should in theory be a constant revenue on those, hopefully at a minimum, a base, but preferably increasing, as those clients would be needing to incorporate Akida into their ongoing product supply / sales.

Yes, obviously would be minor swings dependent on their own product demand however any "larger" lumpiness for mine should come from any new licencing payments which would generally be a one off or maybe split payment.

Personally can't see why the company can't at least advise "client uptake' numbers say through ARM, Megachips or Edge etc.

No identifiers just number of clients and wouldn't expect should draw ASX angst as these would be a third parties client and actual "income" would be unquantifiable in reality as their product sales are variable and unknown to BRN.

The income evidence would still be under the "watch the financials" statement.

Income could increase each quarter but could just be from a couple of clients which could evidence maybe a lack of market penetration.

Would want to see client numbers increasing to provide some diversity and multiple revenue streams rather than reliance on only a couple or few.

At least SHs would get a feel whether uptake is increasing each quarter and wouldn't contravene any NDAs either imo.
I am not in a position to agree with your suggested solution however the problem that you identify as to meeting shareholders thirst for knowledge as to the company’s progress is one which the CEO Sean Hehir has covered.

His solution is to provide earnings guidance. He would do that now but earnings are too lumpy but he has said that the Board has agreed to his request to revisit his wish first half 2023.

It is to be hoped that strained world economic circumstances will not intervene and delay the implementation of this approach further but neither we or Brainchip control the world.

Well not yet anyway.

Hello to all the German friends and happy Oktoberfest. How is everything in Germany at the moment?

Was wandering if anyone has the chance to test drive the new Mercedes vehicles?

On another thought are people allowed to test vehicles on the Autobarn no limits?

regards,
Eq

I think it's interesting though that it's a BMW digital key and I wonder what sort of sensors are required to operate it? I remember @cosors posting something about a Mercedes patent which outlined something similar using NFC technology, if I'm not mitaken.
Has anyone seen Bravo's glove?

  3. Renesas Expands RZ/V Series with Built-in Vision AI Accelerator for Accurate Image Recognition and Multi-Camera Image Support

New RZ/V2MA MPU Features an OpenCV Accelerator for Image Processing and Offers TVM-based Deep Learning Compiler
September 29, 2022
RZ/V2MA MPU with Built-in Vision AI Accelerator
RZ/V MPUs Line up for Vision AI
TOKYO, Japan ― Renesas Electronics Corporation (TSE: 6723), a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, has expanded its AI-capable RZ/V Series of microprocessors (MPUs), with a new device that enables AI processing of image data from multiple cameras, offering a new level of highly accurate image recognition for vision AI applications. Equipped with two 64-bit Arm® Cortex®-A53 cores, the new device is capable of delivering high computing performance with a maximum operating frequency of 1GHz. The RZ/V2MA features a proprietary low power DRP-AI (Dynamically Reconfigurable Processor) accelerator which can process vision AI at 1 TOPS/W (tera operations per second, per watt) class performance.
The RZ/V2MA device offers high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, and PCI Express that allow image input from multiple external cameras. In addition to the DRP-AI accelerator, the RZ/V2MA includes an OpenCV accelerator that allows rule-based image processing simultaneously. These features bring highly accurate image recognition capabilities for machine vision products such as AI-equipped gateways, video servers, security gates, POS terminals and robotic arms.
The new RZ/V2MA offers a full suite of development tools to aid vision AI system design. In addition to the existing DRP-AI Translator, the new device adds DRP-AI TVM (Note 1), which is based on the open-source deep learning compiler Apache TVM technology (Note 2). While DRP AI Translator is designed to convert AI models into DRP-AI executables, the DRP-AI TVM compiler lets the DRP-AI accelerator work together with the CPU, allowing DRP-AI to convert and generate more AI models than ever before. As a first phase, Renesas supports ONNX and PyTorch AI models and plans to support Tensorflow in the future.
"One of the challenges for embedded systems developers who want to implement machine learning is to keep up with the latest AI models that are constantly evolving,” said Shigeki Kato, Vice President of Renesas' Enterprise Infrastructure Business Division. “With the new DRP-AI TVM tool, we are offering designers the option to expand AI frameworks and AI models that can be converted to executable formats, allowing them to bring the latest image recognition capabilities to embedded devices using new AI models.”
"Renesas' RZ/V series is ideal for embedded devices since it does not need fans or heat sinks, due to its extremely low power consumption and low heat capability when running AI,” said Chiharu Nakabayashi, President of amnimo Inc., a provider of IoT and AI-based services and a wholly owned subsidiary of Yokogawa Electric Corporation. “With these devices, we are confident that we can develop powerful image AI gateways that can be installed anywhere."

Key Features of the RZ/V2MA

  • Two 64-bit Arm Cortex-A53 cores with a maximum operating frequency of 1 GHz
  • AI accelerator DRP-AI (1 TOPS/W class), achieving 52 fps (frames per second) when executing TinyYoloV3 programs
  • OpenCV accelerator for rule-based image processing
  • Ethernet, USB, and PCI Express interfaces for image input from external cameras
  • Video codecs (H.265 and H.264)
  • DRP-AI TVM tool for converting AI models based on TVM technology. Support ONNX and PyTorch formats initially.
  • High-speed memory interfaces include LPDDR4 (3200Mbps), USB 3.1 (up to 5Gbps), and PCI Express (2 lanes)
  • Available in 15mm square BGA package

Vision AI Gateway Solution with RZ/V2MA

Hi @Fact Finder

Have you ever cast your eyes over the Regulatory Guide 196 Short selling (RG 196) which covers short selling reporting compliance?

I read quite a bit of it but there is only so much legalese I can stomach before I loose interest.

It would appear that the discrepancy in reporting is due to a few factors including "relief" that allows for naked short selling on ASX.

  • Provisions exist that exempt you from the gross reporting requirement ( but still have to report net positions )
  • Provisions exist that exempt you from both gross and net position reporting
  • There are also discretionary powers that allow granting relief from naked short selling restriction and reporting requirements by ASIC.
  • Add to that the fact that not all short sellers will even be adhering to the reporting requirements that do in fact exist....

Leaves us blind as a deaf bat in space. ( another popular misnomer as bats actually have good eyesight )

And the sky may not fall on our heads anytime soon but it is indeed violet and not blue.

ah how tenuous our perception of reality.

Ok so I was always under the impression that cash was trash as it debases more than 8percent every year unless you have usd this year.

How is this for a chart

Means the rest of the world's assets have gone on sale for the US. Any US based firm looking to buy BRN hypothetically will now be able to purchase it for less. The value of our cash holding in USD is good news.

Maybe covered or partially covered and agree, guidance is a step in the right direction but is just that...a step and is still only to be revisited at this stage but I understand reasoning.

Guidance is one thing, market penetration and uptake is another though imo.

I think SHS are owed something from that as we invest in the company to support the growth as well.

An indication in increase of (or static) uptake numbers is not difficult I would think.

We have essentially a news blackout in some ways with NDAs other than ecosystem partnerships or presentations or the 1000 eyes uncovering something and have to wait for each qtrly to see any snippet of growth.

There will always be different views on this as each of us have different investment styles & horizons.

For ultra LTH yeah, it may not faze but some may like to see tangible traction, diversified revenue streams and growth without crossing the ASX.

Obviously there are some not behind a NDA, yet we haven't seen a formal agreement or any sort come to fruition...say MB for eg.

Don't forget guys and gals that this month alone we have had confirmation of our inclusion in both Google and NASA. We previously knew something was brewing with NASA but through our partnership with SiFive we are embedded within some serious situations.

I would also love revenue guidance, but there is so much happening behind the scenes that I'm just kickin' back and enjoying the sun!

@din do you have the latest short report available. Thanks Mate!

Goodbye to that quarter.... now we ALL wait with much anticipation.

Will the 4C deliver some revenue, I guess so.

I sort of had the feeling that we had stalled somewhat, this was a perception that motivated me to contact the CFO, he is like all
the Brainchip Management Team, extremely professional, disciplined and know their legal requirements are when it comes
to communicating with basic shareholders like me.

I apologize to any shareholder on this site who thought I was trying to mislead or imply that I was in possession of highly classified
information that I only shared with FF....I don't!!

My comments are on the record with regards the quality and integrity of ALL Brainchip staff, to think any less of them would be
an insult.

I was simply a little hurt by the posts that I read last night......end of story, move on please.

Tech x
Given I raised the initial concern, please let me add. Going back to my earlier post, an apology can be the measure of a man. I give you credit where credit is due and respect your response.

I think Toasty shouldn’t be “cooked” for his comments. He too read into the words and context used in the original message and voiced concern. The English language is a funny thing if used incorrectly.

I’m not sure any one Brainchip staff were put on the griller for releasing sensitive information. The escalation of words was driven by peoples interpretation of what was being inferred to be received, not so much by the sender of said information. Please don’t take offence on their behalf, as I don’t think offence was cast in their direction.

Sometimes it helps to laugh off misunderstandings. Let’s refer to the matter as: notsharingemailnahnahnanahnah-gate .

I am happy that you are happy to move on and put it behind us. Looking forward to September 4c 😁
TUA.
