Volvo Introduces Passenger Anti Lock-In Safety System As Standard, EX90 Gets It First

Recently, Volvo announced the brand's latest SUV, the electric EX90. As is customary for the Swedish carmaker, safety is at the forefront of the company's automotive philosophy. The new flagship will feature a plethora of safety measures, including warning the driver about occupants locked inside the car.

The Scandinavians have come a long way since the introduction of the three-point seatbelt. But they have always centered on safety, and, in 2023, radars, computers, and context-learning AI will interpret the driver's behavior to anticipate unwanted maneuvers.
Volvo engineers have even gone one step further and made the new car so passenger-aware that it can detect the faintest movements inside the cabin. According to their claims, a highly accurate radar system scans the inside of the SUV to identify the very soft motion of a breathing body.
In the video, Lotta Jakobsson, Volvo's Senior Technical Specialist, Injury Prevention, gives us a glimpse of the newly-added safety measure and how it works. An infant or a pet can be very still when sleeping, and the natural expansion of the ribcage during a breathing cycle is very dim. That's why Volvo tuned their EX90 interior radars to "submillimeter" levels to detect if there is any occupant left in the car. In plain English, the radar is so sharp it will pick up movement less than a millimeter in size.
The radar array monitors the vehicle's cabin and trunk, so the driver doesn't accidentally lock a child or a pet inside and forget about them. The point is to prevent scenarios in which the passengers become trapped inside during a hot day.
If that happens, the car alerts the driver, and if it still detects no change, it doesn't cut off the air conditioning (provided that the battery charge level allows the operation of the climate control system). Volvo brought statistics to argue for this safety addition (watch the video to see what numbers and incidents the Scandinavians rely on).
The sensors are mounted in the overhead console, roof lamps, and trunk to cover maximum space. The internal radar system will be standard on the EX90 (again, Volvo emphasizes that the new safety feature will only hit the markets that allow such technologies in cars). For the future, the Volvo official announces the integration of this brand new radar sensor with the car's app.
There was a couple of ideas running through my head watching this. What super hero do you think he is, and why.....

A very distrubing post Tech...not like you at all. If Ken has provided you and only you with information regarding the company's finances and capital plans then that is pretty much the definition of insider information. I have no want to upset your relationship with BRN personnel but this post moves me to write to the company to request that the information you have received be made available to all shareholders. At this stage you appear to be in a position of priveledge in respect of company information which, if true, does not accord with relevant disclosure requirements.
I also find your comments about FF quite high handed. Do you really believe that you and he are the only ones to have been on the BRN journey "for years". I for one made my first purchase of BRN shares in 2016 and have continued to accumulate since. And I have been nothing but respectful to you and other posters since joining this forum..........
So, are you going to post the information you have received or will I and others need to request that the company distribute it to ensure all shareholders are properly informed??
Are you suggesting that the system can ensure that bike riders hit every pot hole without exception? There was a couple of ideas running through my head watching this.
1. Vibration analysis should be able to pick up potholes and relay that info back to the council and other drivers in real time espeically for motor bike riders.
2. Hand gesture can eliminate the need for vr hand consoles and increase work productivity.
Another beauty is deaf people can communicate in real time with translations.
Who had this as a TSE motif- the 1000 eyes do not miss much- can only happen in OZ.

AKIDA BALLISTA UBQTS
Agree with you both toasty and dead pool, I made a comment on his post late last night, totally a unsubstantiated and shallow post by tech in my opinion. Disappointed that he involved FF in it. Raises a lot of questions if it is true. Much prefer to find it BS. If nothing from Tech then I’m for the Company to confirm or deny.I totally agree with your comments @toasty
@TECH , is sounding more and more like an L Ron Hubbard type devote to me, and I'll go further and suggest a
Megalomaniac, exaggerating their virtues and never seeing the deficiencies of their actions.
I think he may have forgotten, that very impressionable young people / new investors read this forum and may take his words as gospel.
If an insider of any publicly listed company is contacting a SH and talking about the company's financial situation, which I doubt , but which he has alluded to, then I really don't know if there's anything more to say.
I'm a bit surprised that only one other member has pulled him up on this.
I'm pretty sick and tired of people twisting the narrative to make them self's seem indispensable, here and in the real world.
Not happy Jan
I thought that was an exclusive feature of Lohi 2.0Are you suggesting that the system can ensure that bike riders hit every pot hole without exception?
I do see motorbike riders with mobile phone holders. Google maps should be able to alert riders of potholes as it does speed cameras and traffic congestionsAre you suggesting that the system can ensure that bike riders hit every pot hole without exception?

So in that case, do we individual shareholders have to contact the company to receive this info. I would have thought that this would be very time wasting for the company to have to reply to each request. Would it not be far more beneficial to all if the such info is just released to ALL by the company.I've just received a private message from FF informing me that the information referred to by Tech is available to all shareholders upon request to the company. This being the case I would like to suggest that it may be helpful for Tech to remove the rhetoric suggesting unique communication with the company in future posts so that shareholders (like me) do not get the impression that he is receiving information that we are not privvy to........
