AVZ Minerals Limited (AVZ or Company) is aware that Manono Lithium SAS (Manono Lithium), which is a joint venture between Jinxiang Lithium Limited, a subsidiary of the Zijin Mining Group Co Limited (Zijin) and Congolaise D’Exploitation Miniere SA (Cominière), purports the transformation of Research Permit PR15775 to an Exploitation Permit. PR15775 lies over the northern portion of PR13359 which the Company maintains its legal rights to via its majority holding in Dathcom Mining SA (Dathcom).
The Company refers to the provisional orders of the International Centre for Settlement Disputes (ICSID) arbitration proceedings (ICSID Case No. ARB/23/20), previously disclosed in its announcements dated 18 January 2024 and 12 May 2024, which has the effect of binding the DRC State to take the necessary steps to reflect that Dathcom is the holder of PR13359 and to protect the rights of the Company and its subsidiaries, during the pendency of the ICSID proceedings (ICSID Interim Orders).
