Assuming the full $20m was still there, given that it’s still before the Courts and the uncertainty surrounding that, Locke would not rely on this amount as ‘current’ collateral. I wouldn’t. According to DRC ‘law’ and Cami, dodgy judge has terminated Dathcom JV and AVZ don’t own anything at the moment except for the outer areas which are worth nothing at the moment. What’s AVZ’s collateral in the eyes of local laws and funders?

If it was fake we would have seen something from the company by now imo
Then I’d go back to my original comment in that it’s poorly worded and shouldn’t have been issued at this point in time. Purpose of the letter was to provide update on all the legal cases. Why mention they are running out of cash knowing that going on history, it was going to be leaked?

It continues to amaze me about the negative speculation that occurs on this site about AVZ, Nigel and the Board. Nothing like shooting yourselves in the foot. Why not simply wait for the announcements and discuss the facts. All you end up doing is increasing investor anxiety.
Here you go the CEO of Rio Tinto being asked about Lithium and Copper investments today on Business Weekend on Sky News. Now there was no mention of the DRC or Manono from my recollection, but they were talking about current overseas investments.
It is interesting to note that wasnt both Commiere and Rio in the same room with the World Bank recently- or am I wrong.

Relationships have been destroyed by Cominiere / Zijin along with accomplices Kong and other china state snakes plus the inaction of a gutless leader FT, AVZ BOD just protecting its rightful interests which have been disrespected in every possible way..........arbitration, whilst regrettable is the only course of action, which has ultimately killed off the relationship beyond repair one would think.....imo
You may want to look into litigation funding pricing, definitely not based off of interest on the loan

While you are probably correct in your assessment that arbitration killed off AVZ's relationship with the DRC government, it was always going to be a win-lose relationship anyway.
So AVZ rolled the dice and probably chose the least worse option...and here we are.
The sun will rise tomorrow morning, and with it a ray of hope that this will end on a positive note for us all..
