I followed Der Geist a few months back, occasionally check his tweets. I'm not blocked now, same I think for a few other TSE's. As he's courted (of sorts) info from all sides, I suspect no side is fully happy/trusting of him. Maybe this sign (?) of protecting his commentary means something is about to happen?
Personally, I'm cutting spend, hoping to survive until ML & further Ann push up SP, or Mortgage rates come down a bit.
P.S. He mentioned "Mukendi" in his alleged texting with Congs office. I think there is a political reporter (?), David Mukendi, in DRC?
IMO GLTAH
Hi mate
I've mentioned this before and I think it is very relevant.

If you go to the XJO thread (indices section) on the crapper you will read serious and well argued opinions from some very smart heads.

They make serious coin and have helped me a lot.

The consensus is essentially that RBA and other central banks have NOT raised interest rates nearly enough.
So the payback is even greater inflation and even higher interest rates in the near future.

Upshot is, don't rely on falling interest rates anytime soon.

I would emphasise that this is the consensus so there are dissenting voices.

DRC: The publication of the mining and oil contract signed with Dan Gertler "deferred for some technical reasons" (André Wameso)

November 29, 2022

André Wameso, Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, in charge of financial and economic issues, revealed that the postponement of the publication of the contract signed between Israeli businessman Dan Gertler and the Congolese State is due to "some technical reasons". He revealed it on Tuesday, November 29 in an interview with MINES.CD after the opening ceremony of the mining week organized by civil society.

André Wameso, who actively took part in the negotiations that preceded the signing of this contract, nevertheless reassured that the publication of the content of this agreement will take place incessantly.

"It has been postponed for some technical reasons but there will be no problem, this contract will be published," he told MINES.CD.

He added: "And moreover, the civil society that is present here has already had to go through this contract, there is nothing to hide so in the coming days the contract will be made public," he added.

André Wameso also said that the DRC does not take enough advantage of its mining resources and is a victim of dictates of capitalist systems, on this he advocates that the country can "ensidize" that the next contracts that will be signed with multinationals are realized with consideration "at the highest level".

"When we supply our mining assets, we must ensure that our partnerships with the multinationals that use our resources are at the highest level of consolidation of these companies, that is, at the level of the parent company instead of at the local joint venture level or at the fact, we remain outside the system. Because it is not local joint ventures that are invested in the stock exchanges, in international financial centers, financial centers that symbolize the market at the level of big capital. And at this level we do not exist when it is our raw materials that make these companies happy and that allow the global industry to be able to transform its resources to give them great added value, "explained the Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic.

The workshop of the Congolese Mines Week is launched on November 29 and will end on December 1, 2022. Its objective is to strengthen the capacity of civil society actors on real issues in the political, economic, financial and social sectors, in order to improve their advocacy. And then to demand concrete actions from the government against the looting of our wealth to the detriment of the national community, finally to initiate the necessary reforms in order to end current abuses and prevent future abuses in the natural resources sector.

These meetings will be attended by personalities from the mining community, institutions of the Republic (Presidency, government, state organizations) and civil society. The latter were selected on the basis of their proven qualities and expertise.

Would highly recommend a read of Denis Shanahan's piece in today's Australian on China, 'critical minerals rare earths and the strategic and economic threat unfolding before our eyes' :
