Resignation of Vidiye Tshimanga: ACAJ recommends to the Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation to order a credible and exhaustive judicial investigation

The Congolese Association for Access to Justice (ACAJ) recommends to the Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation to order a credible and exhaustive judicial investigation into the facts underlying the resignation of Vidiye Tshimanga, former strategic adviser to the Chief of State.

The NGO ACAJ also asks the Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic to put in place a zero tolerance policy with a view to eliminating all the bad apples that are still lurking in the corridors of the Presidency of the Republic and use their position to exert pressure and/or influence peddling to satisfy their selfish interests.

ACAJ believes that Vidiye Tshimanga is to be congratulated because he is among the few politicians in office who decided to step down following a politico-financial scandal brought to the attention of the public.

"By this fact, he administers the proof that he is a statesman and republican, respectful of the person of the Head of State whom he is called upon to serve, even outside the institutions".

The observation that emerges from this bundle of clues is that, far from being a trivial fact, the remarks attributed to Mr. Vidiye are likely to be criminal, adds Me Georges Kapiamba, national president of the ACAJ.

And to conclude: "The fight against corruption, influence peddling, embezzlement and money laundering, constitutes the barometer through which the action of those in power is gauged".

I've got to agree and I said so in earlier posts, AVZ is not a mining company, definitely not staffed or experienced for a10MTPa plant in DRC with hydro power, roads and rail, hydroxy plant. Have you checked their organisation?
They need to prove up the reserves, get the ML, offtakes, BFS and SEZ, then sell down or sell out.
Nobody tells me that any contracts tendered 2 to 3 years ago are still valid and ready to go once ML and financing is in place. I asked about that during investor event in April 2021 and the responses were very cagey and evasive. Neither are those contracts for the upscaled plant. Where does AVZ get the skills and bodies from to run such a huge undertaking with all the challenges along the way? Sell down or TO is the realistic endgame IMO. $2 - $3 per share and I'll be very, very satisfied.
All this talk about $2 - $3 dividends is fairy stuff. Woodside energy having its best year revenue wise is paying just around 3 dollars a share with a SP of over thirty dollars. That's just not gonna happen for AVZ.
Anyone else have an opinion here?

I’d like to think AVZ can shackle together a team for a 2mtpa start up moving quickly to 4 and 10 with. I’m not going to try to elaborate how - there some here who can do that better,

In 2019, I do know Hennie Faul of Anglo America was proposed as a chairman for AVZ before John Clarke emerged. It was considered he would be too expensive, but also that he changed his mind? Was it that an ‘Springbok’ would rub Congolese the wrong way?

What it did demonstrate was that Manono could attract the best in the industry to have a crack.

Some may have heard FMG wanted the mining license. And Twiggy was cooking the phone lines to Kinshasa

The fact is, despite my doubts on going to mine it is conceivable that it can be done without relying too much on the assets of Chinese partners. As much as I like the Chinese work ethic, politics is problematic

Hi All

Fuck me............feels like a bunsen burner in this forum atm........

I may as well add to the fire.........:devilish:

MYSOGYNY ?

Give me a break, when that was mentioned, i looked back on all the posts and couldnt find squat........am i to assume feelings were hurt when @JAG sent another girly pic ?

Like many on this forum , i am a male, have a wife and a daughter, so by me giving JAG a " like " for a gorgeous girl, does that make me a mysogynist ?

I have much respect for the female brigade as i am sure everyone here does, feel utterly disgusted that in the great nation of OZ, that 1 in 3 females get domestically abused.........

So to even up the score

View attachment 16842

Enjoy ladies...........;)

@Der Geist , @R2D2

Whats with the chinese symbols ?............wtf ?

Not being discrimintory , cause i have alot of chinese clients, some are also mates, but considering chinese state backed coys like Zijin ( amongst others ) plus Cong are the core evil in this ROYAL SHIT SHOW aka @John25 , i consider that to be a red flag to a bull in the TSE AVZ community.....;)

I reckon @The Fox has nailed the current situation succinctly, this is completely out of Nigels hands this royal shit show, probably the reason why a whole heap of " deadlines " havnt been met in the past either........

Should Nigel have been a little bit more transparent with shareholders / ASX about a possible shit storm brewing ?.............possibly, or possibly not, like i said in a previous post, if Nigel did allude, then AVZ SP might have tanked regardless...........markets hate ambiguity !

Damned if you do, damned if you dont.

Given what we know now with all this corruption shit, i reckon he has done a hell of a job to navigate AVZ to the ML decree stage..........;)

Easy to criticise, but what a unforgiving job having to deal with corrupt DRC officials plus back stabbing chinese coy looking to take away your prized possessions that you have worked your tits off to achieve !!

It reminds me when i was a kid when i won the 14 & under state tennis title, i received this awesome trophy, i was proud as punch.........only to then have that taken away from me due to a mistake and was handed another trophy that looked like a door stop..............:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::mad::mad:

Anyway..............another extended suspension........:sleep::sleep:😭😭

But.......there is hope.

" The company is confident of a positive outcome for its share holders , resulting in the re-instatement of trading in its securities. "

Nigel wouldnt make such a comment if indeed it wasnt true....;)

I reckon @Nellie17 and @The Fox have been on the money all along............just not the time lines.

I reckon Felix is finally showing his true colours.

All the jigsaw pieces i read from the great sleuths in this forum point to a positive outcome.

But i will only believe its TRUE..............once that formal ASX announcement drops on the 10/10 or earlier.

Stay strong my brothers and sisters................party time may not be that far away.

Chinese symbols are good. Easy to weed out the Anglophone stuff. Browsers now offer auto translation- have you noticed?

How many major producers were not once explorers - not many I’d wager? This is literally a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build something of massive global importance as well as life changing for us holders. AVZ don’t have to be good at mining (yet). They need to be smart. They need to be very good recruiters, and very good at picking the right logistics/specialist/delivery partners. It will be hard going, but I really want them to roll up the sleeves and get on with it.

Bring it.

Personally as much as I’d love to see AVZ ‘build a mine’ I don’t see it happening.
The shear amount of infrastructure and planning is huge. Then the procedures, permits etc

This would be a great opportunity for BHP, RIO, Glencore to become a partner and help produce the actual mine, years of experience in planning and design, the money to back it, global connections..

Dangote amongst others is a cement company and uses horizontal rotating kilns to manufacture cement.

They operate approximately 20 cement plants in Central Africa.

One would say they would have some experience in operating horizontal kilns.

AVZ/Dathcom needs a horizontal kiln(s) to produce PLS, so not too odd if AVZ is talking with Dangote.

Maybe AVZ handballs the construction and operation of the lithium ore processing plant to Dangote.

Just a thought. 😉😁

Hi Cruiser51

Re: Maybe AVZ handballs the construction and operation of the lithium ore processing plant to Dangote.

Could you elaborate on why you think AVZ would hand over construction and operation of its mining plant to a cement kiln manufacturer when (1) mining companies generally tender out this work to qualified and experienced international operators, and (2) there are available many international firms specialiasing in the construction, commissioning and operation of mine plants that would be interested in competitively tendering.

Nonetheless, I take your point about the need for horizontal kilns in converting ore to 6% spod, but their supply and installation are also generally tendered out along with the rest of the plant infrastructure. As for operating the Li ore plant, we will need to wait and see how it the tender is packaged up.

Cheers

I would of thought the reason for CATH being part of the AVZ / DATHCOM equation was their experience in building lithium mines as per specification...........;)

It doesnt get much better than them i would of thought.

AVZ has all the tools to make Roche Dure work.

imo
At 24%?

1$B big ones from the UAE! 😱

Cooperation: a memorandum of understanding signed between the DRC and the United Arab Emirates for an investment of 1 billion USD

Prime Minister Sama Lukonde Kyenge chaired, this Saturday, September 17, 2022, the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the company Primera Group Limited, an Emirati consortium, which represented the private sector of the United Arab Emirates and the Congolese government, represented by the Ministry of Mines, to strengthen and increase bilateral exchanges between these two countries.

This is the realization of the agreements concluded between his Highness, the president of the United Arab Emirates, Cheikh Mohamed Ben Zayed Al Nahyane and the President of the Republic, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo during his visit in October 2021 in Abu Dabi.

The amount of these exchanges remains to be determined.

Nevertheless, it should be noted that the protocol signed today relates to an investment of US $ 1 billion.

This memorandum of understanding is a new step for the launch of future emirati investments in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Confident to the press, Salem Aljaberi, responsible for the preparation for the opening next November of the United Arab Emirates Emirates Embassy in Kinshasa, said that in the next year, many Companies in the private sector of the United Arab Emirates will jostle in the gates of the Democratic Republic of Congo to invest in the fields of agriculture, mines, and renewable energies.

According to him, the opening of the United Arab Emirates Emirates Embassy in Kinshasa, next November, will be the opening of a new page in relations between the two countries so that there is much more investment aware of next year.

This memorandum of understanding is, in fact, signed in the idea of strengthening and increasing bilateral exchanges between the two countries.
