No, we absolutely should not be trading before the issues around the licence/project are sorted out. To start trading prematurely would just be playing right into the hands of the Chinese.

*Ditto Double A,

Not to mention all those Shit for Brains Shorters and BS Bots out there atm

G'day John, in my opinion Nigel & the board have been and are in a very awkward position with what they have been able to come out and say while we have been in suspension. Nigel has had to play his cards very close to his chest so not to give away the path he is going down to our 'opposition'!
As for Nigel not leading from the front, I 100% disagree with you. In my opinion, if it wasn't for Nigel's efforts AVZ would more of less been cactus! Hopefully when all this has been sorted out, shareholders will see and realise Nigel's efforts!
Cheers,
Nells

So Nigel and the board can employ lawyers to hold press conferences in Kinshasa where they outline AVZ's position in detail. As well as tweet about journalists visiting the Manono site, but they can't update ASX shareholders of these events through official announcements or do an interview (through lawyers if necessary) in English?

Pardon my French but that is merde de taureau

The hold is up with CAMI not issuing the license according to AVZ's lawyers. They called for the personal involvement of President Tshisekedi three weeks ago at the press conference. It seems nothing will happen until he gets involved. We will be in suspension until he or someone else in the government decides to act. Hopefully they do so in our favour. Meanwhile we are very likely to be removed from the ASX200 and possibly the ASX300 for low liquidity over the last six months unless we trade again soon.

If this occurs then we could get every announcement we are waiting for with the BFS saying we will make billions a year and when we open the share price will likely go lower in the short term because funds are forced to sell.

I trust Nigel and the board will make the best decision for long term shareholder value. They have an obligation to and always have so far, but considering this suspension is taking far longer than they anticipated and the risk of being removed from the indices, they should be more transparent with shareholders imo

GO AVZ!!!!
Yes you are correct in that - but discussion has been on TO of AVZ and people getting $1, $2, $3 for their shares. Only an AVZ take-over will trigger a wind-up of all shares on ASX and a pay-out of all shareholdings causing some people to fret about paying tax. I wonder why though because if you pay tax you made money??
These two (Dathcom and AVZ TOs) are being mixed up, and only the AVZ TO leads to an ASX/ATO/SH pay-out. TO of Dathcom does not and would be a bad situation for AVZ value because basically our holdings in Dathcom is the entire value of A
It's all a fucking circle jerk

Tax, ownership, takeovers the whole fucking lot

"IF" AVZ has a majority interest in Dathcom then a takeover of AVZ could provide control of the Manono asset

We currently don't know if the fuck AVZ has majority control of Dathcom and therefore by default control over the fucking mining licence

I'm fucking, fucking sick to fucking death of this ownership bullshit!!!!

Sort it the fuck out

If someone wants Dathcom it's possible without FIRB

If someone wants ownership of AVZ then FIRB will be involved

No-one wants ownership of AVZ (and no-one will be trying to take it fucking over) unless it has majority ownership and control of Dathcom....and we still have no fucking clue on that currently

Circle work, fucking circle work, fucking circle work until the FUCKING OWNERSHIP % of DATHCOM is determined and currently that's in the hands of fucking corrupt cnts at Cominiere and the seamingly impotent Govt of the DRC

FFS

Apologies slight rant on a red or two but fuck me

How many times do we have to go over this shit?????

How long do we have to fucking wait to get it sorted????

How long do we have to wait for AVZ, the DRC, FT and the DRC authorities to clear the fucking corrupt fucking mess up!!!???

Don't start me on the arbitration fiasco

Fuck me

Focker out!.......

Maybe Felix should spend less time gallivanting around the globe and more time focussed on his people and their natural assets, and get things done.

A country that has one of the worst malnourished child populations, but its leader is one of the most obese on the world stage sends a worrying signal.

Does he really care for the people of the DRC, or just his own interests?

Trotters in the trough comes to mind in a few areas.

IMO

Who knows anything anyway?
Me, I figure the board are all smarter than me, with more inside knowledge.
I'm a simpleton at the best of times, so I can't cast comment of any of this. But I also don't rage-type to vent.

Easy for us to say when our only interest is AVZ and mining Lithium. As important as that is to the DRC, Felix May just have a couple of other things on his plate…

“Goma, DRC – For decades, the Democratic Republic of the Congo has been the scene of one of the world’s longest-running conflicts.

In the latest iteration which began in May, its army has been fighting the M23 rebel group, which is waging its most sustained offensive since a 2012-2013 insurrection when it seized vast swathes of territory.

By area, the vast Central African state is the second-largest country on the continent and the 11th-largest in the world.

That space, especially its mineral-rich eastern region, has been the battleground for more than a hundred armed groups fighting for control of territory there or using it as a base to launch attacks into some of its immediate neighbours – Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, Rwanda and Uganda.
Consequently, that has led to the death and displacement of many Congolese citizens.
This month, the Norwegian Refugee Council declared the situation in the DRC as the world’s most neglected refugee crisis – for a second year running. At least five million people are internally displaced and one million more fleeing abroad, the aid group said”

This morning I listened to a video of Dale Henderson (Pilbara Minerals) presenting at the Diggers & Dealers conference where he highlighted that we are still at the very beginning of the transition to EVs, creating strong demand for lithium / batteries for many years to come. The video presentation is worth watching (if interested) as a source of encouragement for what we have to look forward to in our journey to becoming a world class lithium (and tin) miner.

As frustrating as the wait has been, after watching this video I felt more confident that the time it is taking to get the ML will end up being a blip in time in the history of AVZ / Dathcom becoming a monster lithium producer 😁

PS - PLS targeting 1mt pa
AVZ targeting 4.5 - 10 mt pa to start

I'd like it to be mentioned in the Announcement upon our reinstatement that the DRC are looking to prosecute those motherfuckers responsible for the crimes involved around this project which has held it up.

I hope I'm not the only one that thinks it wont be enough just to have it confirmed we got 75% and are in talks with govt over 15%, we knew this all along, the criminal bastards must face justice here. Simon Cong, Cominere, Zijin, CAMI all those twats they can link to this.

This mine is going to be their biggest mine, great for the budget an economy locally and at a national level. They simply cannot let the corruption and breaking of laws around this project just slide its too big.

AVZ's assets will prosper and endure for multi-generations, which matches my role as a parent - to provide for those future generations.

If there's a few more months for that to crystallise, then so be it.

Days of our DRC Lives.jpeg

Lithium: transformation in Manono?

The town of Manono is located 429.9 km from Kamina, capital of the province of Tanganyika.

This semi-rural town is living its moment of glory and for good reason, it is full of a deposit of 6.6 million tons of lithium.

A joint venture between AZ Mineral and Cominiere will carry out this operation, but the transformation can take place elsewhere.

Something that the natives of this city do not understand.

For them, this step must be done on site to allow the development of this region.

Manono's Lithium transformation is already being negotiated.

Indeed, on April 29, Zambia and the DRC signed an agreement on this subject.

A factory could be built either in the DRC, in Zambia or straddling the two countries, but this idea is hardly appealing.

Voices are therefore rising to demand the establishment of this factory in this city.

In a Podcast, Deogracias Ilunga Yolola, university professor and specialist in discourse analysis, deplores the establishment of the Lithium value chain elsewhere than in this city.

”The people who are making their voices heard and raising their voices more and more are right, because it is in their right to say what they think of this exploitation,” he said.

Electrical energy

The transformation of Lithium in a region will also impact its economy. Because it will need skilled labor. This will also inject dividends.

This will boost the economy, but, in addition, the natives will benefit from the transfer of skills.

How do you want to claim to transfer skills to the populations of Manono where we will exploit lithium by setting up the battery processing plant in Lubumbashi or Likasi? Asks the professor.

”Because in the international legal instruments, it is planned to locate the factories not far from the operating sites and it is to facilitate the transfer of technologies”, he says again.

However, setting up a mineral processing plant requires a lot of electrical energy.

For example, in the southern zone where the plant for the Lithium value chain could be established, there is a deficit of more than 700 MW, but it must be said that for the operation stage, Manono has a hydroelectric power station.

This, if rehabilitated, will produce 54 MW, but that will not be enough.

Reorganize Manono

Thus, for this transformation to take place on the spot, it will be necessary to reorganize many things, believes Deogracias Ilunga Yolola.

“We need a reorganization of the societal space of Manono to enable it to be ready to welcome this vast project and to derive all the necessary benefits from it”, he says. Thus, he thinks that Manono must have the necessary infrastructure.

The government must consider providing the necessary electrical energy.

”Because without electricity, all these factories will not be able to function. Manono needs a lot of water for this operation”, he explains again.

In addition, a university must be built there and it is with the aim of providing skills to local residents and the latter will then be able to participate in this exploitation.

“But also, build a good road to facilitate the evacuation of these minerals, and to receive other production inputs,” he says in conclusion.

If this occurs then we could get every announcement we are waiting for with the BFS saying we will make billions a year and when we open the share price will likely go lower in the short term because funds are forced to sell.

Remember......

If those funds indeed have to sell they might want to ask back the shares they loaned out to shorters.

90M shares I believe. That's buying pressure.
