Yeah saw it was 30% tax but wasn't sure if that was DRC tax, Oz Corp tax rate or a bit of an "average" for say a personal shareholder
Would like to see some tax relief in any deal but how that would be done (or could be done) I don't have a clue

Even at 0.67 there will be so many shareholders that suffer a loss. Sure a royalty could nullify that over time but Omni Bridgeway would be licking their lips if Cominiere and Dathomir cases aren't in one way or another resolved showing complete legal vindication for the bod. If this level of offer makes it to a vote then management would have to be confident that it is the absolute best they can do even if that means them facing a class action from holders who bought at a higher price with at what best can be described as incomplete information imo
This sounds like a strategically leaked low ball offer with “AVZ board entertaining” spin as an added bonus. Buttering up shareholders to accept a slightly less bad offer of 75c and make out like it’s a great deal after getting shareholders to sit through the 5 stages of grief for the shit 67c offer. Just as the losing hope stage kicks in they’ll get for the throat of the 21k mum and dad investors and try to steal this with low ball crap offers.

Royalties are a rabbit hole well worth exploring. Clive Palmer once creamed the chinese for $400m pa for LOM lol.So now I'm down a rabbit hole on Royalties thanks to RIO and the Australian and a US Special Envoy

I'd take $1.38+ some decent royalties(say something that would equate to around 10c p/s, yeah I know it's not divies, or if it's RIO i'd take $1 plus 100:1 of shares in RIO, or thereabouts)
If we've got a $0.67 offer on the table then Nige should just politely decline and say "is that your best offer?, if so ok, we're now going to Rio, CATH and possibly even Zijin(but they have to pay +10% premium to win the auction because they're vermin) to see what their best offer is. If noboday can give an offer that equates to above ATH then we're going through the courts for $10b compensation. We are not waiting around 3+years to get bottom feed royalties when we have a good chance of getting at least US$7b through the courts in a similar time frame

All the shit we've been through and the poor bastards who bought in at all time high for one of the most important deposits in the world, they've shown their hands now, catl, kobold and now rio all wanting in, well whoever wants it the most will need to pay the most I'd imagine.

Already dropped from the $2 and $3s the same people were speculating with even just yesterday!
One article and holders have already halved what they think is a fair value. (Yes, I understand anything we might get will never be “fair value” for this monster of a deposit).

Okay people settle down the way I read it , who actually made an offer of 67c ps ? was it RIO , Kobold Cath ?? that is just the price worked out on what a newspaper value it , who is the sauce of these figures ? , I for one will even vote against royalties as I am too old and want to retire , its okay for you younger guys and girls as it is a good future income but not for the older guys and girls , I want and need my cash asap but will never accept what the NORTH and SOUTH is worth , like a few posters have said pay up or move on . Let's wait till management announces something , that is when I believe what I am told . Everybody stick with what you all believed was a fair price a week ago stop thinking negative .

Spare a thought for the peeps whole sold at 1c. who are out there watching this all go down.
If we get a decent payout etc., youd have to be pretty pissed you succumbed to that offer.

Our management need to remind any potential suitors that
1. CATH is funding us $20 million to be able to follow through our ICC & ICSID proceedings
2. ICC decisions so far have been in our favour
3. ICSID to commence shortly with a damages bill of $10 billion sought
4. Management & shareholders have demonstrated & still are prepared to go the distance with ICSID
Along with the above , & Felix being desperate , US gov wanting non Chinese sourced minerals , 2 suitors emerging (& surely Mr Pei won't let this go for a song ?) , we are in our strongest position since this saga began . KoBold wants to offer 67cps ? GTFO

Noting all the previous comments, and the Disneyesque $US1.5bn ($2.38bn) plus royalty randomly proposed by a homeless person, I cannot see other major miners, including CATH (CATL) or even Zijin letting this opportunity of a life time pass.
That figure is pure fiction, and without credibility.
