One could assume, all this HYPE about MOM supporting this ICSID that ha sbeen SUSPENDED because FEES were not paid by both sides AVZ and the DRC

So its sounds like they are still SUSPENDED...!
Even if AVZ have a decision in their favour ,there could be still APPEALS,Refusal to abide by any decisions by the DRC
Also lets all remember this MATTERS are just that a ARBITRATION case.
At the conclusion of the process, the arbitrator makes an award, supported by reasons after affording each party procedural fairness.
Once registered, the award can only be set aside on a question of law (similar to an Appeal) or on specific legislative grounds.
So this comment could be challenged...imo

If the DRC/China's first line of attack up until 3 weeks ago was to run AVZ bust before the ICSID hearing , then I guess the Locke funding "might" have an influence moving forward . I think we need to remember AVZ are pushing for 2 different outcomes . The first is a negotiated outcome . The second is the ICSID outcome . Without funding neither could be possible .
*If the plan was to run AVZ coffers dry then how could a deal have been close ? The Ministry of Mines themselves only a few months ago stated a deal has never been close . That's why we need Locke Funding .
I'd ask a different question . Can we now get an outcome ? Either Negotiated or ICSID . Did our chances of getting an outcome increase with the Locke Funding ? I'd like to think our chances of at least an ICSID outcome have increased considerably .
It was made clear by the AVZ Chair, after questions at the AGM, what AVZ should be pushing for and why.

Any money pumped into the DRC by any organisation, is immediately syphoned off by the corrupt fuckers and monetised into expensive watches, real estate all over the world and expensive shiny cars. The more blink the better.

I will be most comfortable when AVZ announce they have paid the fees for the ICSID as I don’t trust the DRC to act in good faith towards AVZ.

I would be more comfortable if the DRC kleptocrats paid its own damn fees, instead of leaving it to AVZ to pony-up for them.
And how ridiculous is it that the ICSID even has such a disgraceful system in the first place. It's just another unproductive sunk cost for AVZ, which it will need to somehow claw back after the arbitration award is made...and after the DRC stalls and challenges both the decision and the independence of the arbiters...and any other meritless challenge it can initiate based on any fantasy it can conjure up.
