$1B withheld aid package might pique one of those dumb greedy fucks attention
People keep saying that, but it assumes they GAF.
As long as their personal pockets are lined, the rest of the country can continue to suffer.

I'd say DRC officials could'nt give a fuck about anything other than their own personal gains and they could'nt give a fuck about what it costs their own image, people or country either. Ths is the norm for these criminals.Azz, don't expect the DRC to be swayed or embarrassed by this in any way - you will only be disappointed. Work on the premiss that they don't give a flying F#ck what the west thinks about them!!
Why?... this is to protect an asset critical to the western World. I don't know what the criteria is for access to these funds, but if this fiasco has the profile that is alleged on the world stage, then a $4b critical minerals warchest surely could fund a $20m litigation fund. Not a chance aus gov is gonna commit money to blood sucking scumbag country of drc even if its an aussie operation.. stuck in suspension... for years...
Pro tip, Google their website. To know the criteria.Why?... this is to protect an asset critical to the western World. That's a really fucking good point, I hadn't even considered how huge it would be in tax revenue. It would be an interesting exercise to work out the opportunity cost to the Australian government in capital gains tax if the Chinese were to steal Manono. Would have to be close to a billion dollars at current price and much more at the all time high. $20 million is just a few cabbage leaves in comparison to the potential gains for the ATO!!
However, I'm fairly confident funding is already sorted, with multiple options. It would be an interesting exercise to work out the opportunity cost to the Australian government in capital gains tax if the Chinese were to steal Manono. Agreed and admire your confidence. Well if the funding is sorted maybe the government can contribute with some visible, impactful diplomatic support for their potential hundreds of millions in tax revenue. However, I'm fairly confident funding is already sorted, with multiple options.
I got a response back from my mate I texted about the situation.Agreed and admire your confidence. Well if the funding is sorted maybe the government can contribute with some visible, impactful diplomatic support for their potential hundreds of millions in tax revenue.
Did anyone get a response back from 60 minutes, 4 corners or Pauline Hanson etc.. I have emailed many of the media organisations and heard crickets. Baffling!
I sent my mate the matt birney article and he couldn't make sense of it. The guy is a data scientist too, smart guy.I got a response back from my mate I texted about the situation.
He said, "Maaaaaaaate that's a bunch of fucking bullshit hey."
I sent it to my partner (PhD in finance). Said it was well written and an amazing story. Then she said if we'd met before suspension she would have said 'Stay away. Very far away from the DRC'. She is from Botswana though.......I sent my mate the matt birney article and he couldn't make sense of it. The guy is a data scientist too, smart guy.
Looks like the normal person who hasn't heard of AVZ may not understand what's gone on even in a well written article. Maybe why news outlets haven't touched it??

Mate, unfortunately the federal government is risk averse to the extreme when assessing the merits of a proposal. Key criteria (amongst many) are financial risk, value for tax-payers' money and the potential for reputational damage.Why?... this is to protect an asset critical to the western World. I don't know what the criteria is for access to these funds, but if this fiasco has the profile that is alleged on the world stage, then a $4b critical minerals warchest surely could fund a $20m litigation fund.
It is in the DNA of those that are in a position to receive and accept bribes/ corruption but accepted by those that aren't.People keep saying that, but it assumes they GAF.

No way in the wide World would our soft cock “Pretty Boy” PM do anything to upset his Chinese buddy Xi …wouldn't even shirt front him over the Chinese sonar attack on our Navy Divers …just skip Australian Government supportIt would be an interesting exercise to work out the opportunity cost to the Australian government in capital gains tax if the Chinese were to steal Manono.
