I think your reasoning holds water.

It should be part of a BRN investor's continuing DD to maintain an ongoing evaluation of the competition's comparative advantages, and, so far, the thousand eyes have not blinked.

Some of the pretenders have gained a commercial toehold due to the commercial availability of physical chips, but. at any level of implementation, a degree of technical expertise is required, whether it be;

installing a PCIe board in a PC, (hobbyist);

incorporating a SNN chip into a PCB, (system designer);

incorporating Akida IP into an IC SoC, (IC designer).

Even the edge box will require some degree of competence above plain PC user capability.

And the rapid development of AI technology means that what is developed today was obsolete yesterday.

I think that this definitely applies in the Von Neumann sphere but as for the adoption of technology that departs from Von Neumann it’s a slow boat to China (not actually China). The world has been running on Von Neumann for the last 75+ years and changing things up is a bigger task than anyone thought. Developing within the current paradigm is always occurring and yes developing something that becomes obsolete before it is on the shelf happens a lot. Changing the baseline technology however hasn’t happened until Akida et al came along. AIMO.

Nope, I just logged in and checked and got the same picture as AARONASX.

Anyway we don't know much about this company and their homepage don't really saying much.

Their technology might be very good and on par with BRN but they are minimum a few years behind IMO.

Ok I agree in terms of we don’t know much about the company and so on….but why you say no? I just send a screenshot literally showing what my screen shows.. its 50/50 if you will.

These guys may be fantastic, but this is likely just a tongue-in-cheek comment to drum up discussion.
To Indulge them; If it was so easy Brainchip would be tripping over all the new IP contracts
Its also not like Brainchip has just been sitting on their hands waiting around expecting success to come to them.

Reasons why Brainchip are still in the lead by 3-5 years:

• No patents in Brainchip's way, but plenty for these guys
• 3+ years for the design to become reality
  • 2019 Socionext Design began, 2021 Complete Engineering Validation, 2022 full commercial availability
• Brainchip employs some of the most successful tech-sector executives and staff, with attractive remuneration packages
• Brainchip has encountered and navigated any headwinds in that period, including market adaption and labour shortages
• Brainchip's sale teams have expanded both in size and global reach
• Brainchip can strike immediately if new use cases are found
• Brainchip offers a suite of Edge products for testing
• Brainchip has already secured important partnerships with massive industry players
• Brainchip is publicly listed with funding for as long as required through standing agreements
• Brainchip has already secured 2 licenses, with their expected revenue to begin flowing as early as this year
  • The IP model makes for nearly 100% margin once engineered
• Brainchip has already entered into, and maintained 100+ NDA's
• Brainchip has lost 0 engagements, apart from project cancellations as a whole
• Akida is Space-ready, including Radiation Hardening
• Akida is EAR99 classified, allowing Brainchip to sell globally without US pre-approval
• Through Edge Impulse, Akida is ready to be trained using existing models built for CPU/GPU's form giants like NVIDIA
• Brainchip has already secured foundry slots in case clients like VVDN sell high qualities of Edge boxes
  • Sean has said he hopes they will dry up the existing AKD1000 stock and will need to order more.
• Anything else I've forgotten

Reasons why the lead could degrade quickly

• Edge Ai market was immature, this could change quicker than expected
• New/better technology created

I 100% agree with you, you need to take everyone together. That is the reason brainchip change their direction strategically.
To me starts with departure of LDN and since then company is focusing on ecosystem than sales. We make technology compatible with existing technologies, and what a transformation it is and so quickly and such a small budget.
We are coming out a winner in the space and every space organisation is looking towards us.
I assume brainchip is understanding the limitations of thinking alone and we are becoming part of world order than to create at our own. So to me it is the best strategy as a start up.

Hi Aaron,

CyberSwarm are a Romanian company.

Their web description of their technology is couched in future tense.

They use phase-change MemRistors.

Their earliest patent dates from 2017. On interesting feature is that their circuits are transparent, which means they have the potential to be overlaid on a display, but I'm not sure why you'd want to have your processor circuitry exposed like that, but then, I was born in the last millennium.

After watching this video of Mihai Raneti discussing Cyberswarm, I feel very much re-assured that they pose no immediate threat to us.

As far as presentations go, this would have to be one of the worst I have encountered. Sadly, Mihai's forte does not appear to lie in the realms of public speaking. On at least two occasions he describes Samsung and Intel as " small companies"????

Anyway if you can challenge yourself to watch the whole video you'll find, apart from losing 20 odd minutes of your precious life that you will never be able to get back, that the device they are working on is some sot of analogue memristor device that is supposed to emulate an ants brain. It doesn't sound like they're anywhere near commercialisation but this video was taken in 2022, so maybe they have made advancements since then.

I have posted the below video snippet (TURN THE VOLUME RIGHT UP) to commence with Mihai saying "shit" under his breath. I'm not too sure why but presumably he wasn't looking forward to answering any questions. Anyway, he eventually goes on to answer the question saying something along these lines "We have this thing here. Its' already been working. We don't know why. But that's a re-current event in our office. We have things that are working and we don't have any kind of idea why they're working."

Oh, and then he goes on to say "We have some ideas of what we're going to do but we're sure that 90% of the solutions are going to come from you", which I can only imagine came as quite a surprise to the unsuspecting audience members.

Yeah, so I for one am not at all concerned and can only thank the gods that we have someone as confident and self-assured as Sean representing us on the world stage.

After watching this video of Mihai Raneti discussing Cyberswarm, I feel very much re-assured that they pose no immediate threat to us.

As far as presentations go, this was would have to be one of the worst I have encountered. Sadly, Mihai's forte does not appear to lie in the realms of public speaking. On at least two occasions he describes Samsung and Intel as " small companies"????
