Apologies for yet again bringing this up, but I still can't get my head around who is Prophesee is partnering with to get their -blur free- camera ready for inclusion within Snapdragon at Qualcomm. Who ever it is has a multi year contract with Qualcomm. I know we can do this with one hand tied behind my back, but the general feeling here is no, not us.Can’t help myself.
Well anyone who has ever said “It’s all a blur to me.” would want one.

Yes but they cleverly wrote them in English so the secret sauce will be lost in translation. By the time they try it out using Fish Sauce Peter van der Made and Anil Mankar with assistance from Carnegie Mellon will be sitting on top a cortical column.

I’ve just read the latest famous annual letter penned by Warren Buffet. Always interesting, I thought people here might like to hear a couple of his current thoughts.
After almost sixty years, Berkshire Hathaway has returned an average compounded growth of 19.8%, but in explaining this, Warren says…’Our satisfactory results have been the product of about a dozen truly good decisions, that would be about one every five years. Over time, it takes just a few winners to work wonders’.
Another of his remarks that pricked my ears, because it’s also been a topic of discussion here was…’let your winners run’.
Relating to the markets as we often do here, he said…’One advantage of our publicly traded segment is that episodically, it becomes easy to buy pieces of wonderful businesses at wonderful prices. It’s crucial to understand that stocks often trade at truly foolish prices, both high and low. Efficient markets exist only in textbooks’.
He concluded by saying…’At Berkshire, there will be no finish line’.
If it’s good enough for Warren, it’s good enough for me…but what would I know ??

It is really quite simple.
AKIDA is SNN. Prophesee produces spikes so they just plug in to each other and work.
When you travel to the UK from Australia and you want to recharge your laptop you need a converter which you plug into the wall socket then plug in your laptop. This allows you to then charge your laptop. The extra wires and bits and pieces in this converter adds time (latency)to how long the power takes to get from the wall socket to your lap top and also adds resistance which uses up some of the charge travelling from the socket to your laptop. Your laptop will still charge up and work.
Should add if you leave it on charging for a while you will notice the converter becomes warm so you are losing energy through heat.
So Prophesee if it is not connected to a natively spiking processor like AKIDA sends out its spikes just the same but to be used by Qualcomm it needs to convert the spikes into something else so it’s processor can understand and process the information in the original spikes.
In the process of conversion there is some loss of energy/information so the converted spikes produce suboptimal information for Qualcomm to process.
It still works but not as well as it might if it did not have to convert the spikes first before they were processed.
In the camera on your mobile for taking happy snaps this is probably not a particular issue however the extra power draw needed to convert the spikes so they can be processed and the extra power used by a neuromorphic processor that does not use SNN could be significant and reduce battery life to such an extent that the selfie generation might get annoyed an choose an iPhone.
There is also the question of extra heat and the actual cost of the electronics involved.
Where suboptimal performance of Prophesee’s vision sensor would not be acceptable would be in tracking hypersonic missiles and planes where you do not want to waste a single spike or milli second. Even counting pills if complete accuracy is required would necessitate every spike being accounted for.

My Canon lenses has had anti blur for years until I dropped it which reminds me I need to get it fixed. So without any research I would say not necessarily.What about this?

I believe that after Brainchip had bought and paid for the Spikenet patent for Jast learning and N of M coding ( our secret sauce),
Simon Thorpe released a documentary that clearly explained the process to anyone hoping to replicate.
My question is, How is it that Brainchip does not appear to have had Simon Thorpe bound to non disclosure of our IP?

This is a great point. Because I am a technophobe like many here can you point out the parts of Simon Thorpe’s presentation that have not been publicly available in the JAST patent documents for some years now?

I suppose I should elaborate on the reason why I said "yes" to the question of whether Mercedes will mandate the use of Akida with Luminar and it's because of something that Christophe Perillat CEO of Valeo said previously (all-be-it in French which had to be translated into English). Christophe said there is one thing in common with the 2 cars that achieved Level 3 and this element was an extraordinary sensor. So presuming the extraordinary thing about which he speaks is Akida, which is entirely conceivable since incorporating Akida into Valeo's lidars has been the whole point of the partnership between Valeo & BrainChip, then it wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination to conceive of other lidar companies jumping onto the Akida bandwagon, least they get left behind eating their competitors dust.
Luminar's lidar allows the system to operate at speeds up to 80 miles per hour, where as the Drive Pilot equipt with Valeo's lidar allows for hands-free, eyes-off driving up to 40 mph on certain highways. It's really is a cat eat cat
world out there and IMO BrainChip would not be limit themselves to creating partnerships with multiple companies offering the same products.IMO DYOR YMCA
