Bascom Hunter’s SNAP Card (Spiking Neuromorphic Advanced Processor) is a high-performance 3U OpenVPX AI/ML processor built for rugged, mission-critical environments. The card is SOSA-aligned, HOST-compatible, and conduction cooled. It combines a Xilinx UltraScale+ RFSoC FPGA with five BrainChipAKD1000 spiking neuromorphic processors to achieve the best of both signal processing and neuromorphic computing – featuring a total of 6million neurons and 50 billion synapses across the card. Yet, another feather ditty to the AKIDA repertoire 🎼and not a fat lady in sight.

Who would know?, has to be sometime this week.
I cannot for the life of me understand why it is a last minute thing. I have asked mgmt this question before (over a beer some years ago when it was allowed), and the reason given at the time was that key mgmt, needed the time to write the words.
Im sure that the CFO can produce the numbers with a button push, literally the first day after the quarter, and the last minute thing has always been a bone for me. Id love someone experienced or clever to educate me on the strategic advantage of being known in the marketplace, to do the reporting at the last minute? Seems to me it just creates opportunity for the bastardo's.
This is not a critic of mgmt, I just don't get it.
But I have a good vibe about this report and coming quarters, so it's a shrug of the shoulders from me. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Companies often delay releasing their quarterly reports until the last moment, not to annoy investors, but due to internal reasons, such as ensuring accuracy and incorporating potential last-minute changes or events. That’s my experience

Wouldn't be surprised if they hold off for as long as possible in the hope of a positive announcement becoming available to offset likely more lack- lustre financial results.
Lots of positive news filtering down but still not the announcements with wads of cash attached........yet.

To me it just seems the big end of town knows our company reports late, and can take advantage of the unknown.
Still, on a more positive note, we seem to be having a change in sentiment, with recent news flows, lots of public mentions of BRN and the maturing of our market. Certainly lots of recent liquidity, so hoping for a turning indicator in these coming financials.

In terms of logistics, a camera on the roof makes it possible to identify the location of a package in an automated way using these markers, saving time and money. Until now, the system's weakness was lighting conditions, as classic machine vision techniques that accurately locate and decode markers fail under low-light situations.

To address this problem, researchers Rafael Berral, Rafael Muñoz, Rafael Medina and Manuel J. Marín, with the Machine Vision Applications research group at the University of Cordoba, have developed a system that is able, for the first time, to detect and decode fiducial markers under difficult lighting conditions, using neural networks. The paper is published in the journal Image and Vision Computing.

"The use of neural networks in the model allows us to detect this type of marker in a more flexible way, solving the problem of lighting for all phases of the detection and decoding process," explained researcher Berral. The entire process is comprised of three steps: marker detection, corner refinement, and marker decoding, each based on a different neural network.

This is the first time that a complete solution has been given to this problem, since, as Manuel J. Marín points out, "there have been many attempts to, under situations of optimal lighting, increase speeds, for example, but the problem of low lighting, or many shadows, had not been completely addressed to improve the process."

How to train your machine vision model​

When training this model, which presents an end-to-end solution, the team created a synthetic dataset that reliably reflects the type of lighting circumstances that can be encountered when working with a marker system without ideal conditions. Once trained, "the model was tested with real-world data, some produced here internally and others as references from other previous works," the researchers indicate.

Both the artificially generated data to train the model, and those of unfavorable lighting situations in the real world, are available on an open basis. Thus, the system could be applied today "since the code has been released and it has been made possible to test the code with any image in which fiducial markers appear," recalls Rafael Muñoz.

Thanks to this work, machine vision applications have overcome a new obstacle: moving in the dark.
