What else could Mihai Raneti, of Cyberswarm say?

There are many companies, that should probably just throw in the towel, but they will continue, until they get beaten down.

We ourselves, have always been the underdog, but we are rising up.

Good morning..
I believe I'm correct in saying that Sean recently stated that the time gap between new iterations of the Akida architecture would be between 12 to 18 months, well that was the suggested 'hope' I'm not sure whether Peter or Anil were onboard with that timeframe, except to say Anil told me a week ago that he was "very busy".

Lets all be 100% honest here, so far ALL the articles and photos show AKD 1000 being referenced in potential product/s or papers or patents...nothing referring to AKD ll as yet, yes Dr. Tony and the Perth Research Institute must keep driving the innovations forward to 'maintain' our alleged lead of 3-5 years..but confirmed market based revenue has to be the immediate goal.

As Akida II was announced to the market in March 2023 with general availability around September/October 2023 I'm expecting news on AKD III within the next 5-6 months..what's your view ?

Tech.
Hi Tech,
I think the Accenture patent you brought to light is an Akida2 patent. The patent describes prediction as a major element in some of the use cases. Akida1 does not do prediction, I think the patent is indicative of Akida2 and the first patent that I’ve seen by one of our potential customers.

Chippers,

To be perfectly frank at this point in time I could not give a flying fuck who takes our tech at this point in time.

If the United States of America , in ALL THEIR capacity
are this useless, as one would be be led to belive , from someone who has platforms Intigrated in the latest fighterjets, ISL.
Then fuck em.

Bring on the next PARTNER.

Thay obviously don't realise what thay have , presented to them on a PLATTER.

Stupid is no excuse .

Pay the bill or Fu€₩Off.

Simple Retail shareholders in Australia are not here to pick up the incompetency bill for the AMERICAN BUROCRICIYTY.

At , if not on the point , give CHINA a go on our tech.
Pretty sure thay will get the fuck on with it , if thay have not already.

Esq.
Just for a moment even if they use our technology will they tell all the world what they are using or keep it a top secret?

Amazon Fresh kills “Just Walk Out” shopping tech—it never really worked

"AI" checkout was actually powered by 1,000 human video reviewers in India.

RON AMADEO - 4/4/2024, 3:55 AM

Amazon is giving up on the cashier-less "Just Walk Out" technology at its Amazon Fresh grocery stores. The Information reports that new stores will be built without computer-vision-powered surveillance technology, and "the majority" of existing stores will have the tech removed. In the early days, Amazon's ambitions included selling Just Walk Out to other brick-and-mortar stores. The problem was that the technology never really worked.

A May 2023 report from The Information revealed the myriad tech problems Amazon was still having with the idea six years after the initial announcement. The report said that "Amazon had more than 1,000 people in India working on Just Walk Out as of mid-2022 whose jobs included manually reviewing transactions and labeling images from videos to train Just Walk Out’s machine learning model."
Training is part of any AI project, but it sounds like Amazon wasn't making much progress, even after years of working on the project. "As of mid-2022, Just Walk Out required about 700 human reviews per 1,000 sales, far above an internal target of reducing the number of reviews to between 20 and 50 per 1,000 sales," the report said.
The report said Amazon's team "repeatedly missed goals" to cut down on human reviews, and "the reliance on backup humans explains in part why it can take hours for customers to receive receipts."

According to The Information report, the Just Walk Out tech was deployed in 20 Amazon Go stores, 40 Amazon Fresh grocery stores, and two Whole Foods stores. It had even gotten some third-party outlets on board, including "30 stores operated by other companies in US sports stadiums, 12 airports, and one university in Arlington, Virginia," the report said.
Amazon will be switching to a more reasonable cashier-less format: shopping carts with built-in checkout screens and scanners. Customers can leisurely scan items as they throw them in the "Amazon Dash Cart," and the screen will let them instantly see a running total of their purchases. The cart scanners also mean that Amazon no longer needs a small army of store employees to constantly tidy up the shelves so the camera-vision system can work.

We’ve invested a lot of time redesigning a number of our Amazon Fresh stores over the last year, offering a better overall shopping experience with more value, convenience, and selection—and so far we’ve seen positive results, with higher customer shopping satisfaction scores and increased purchasing. We’ve also heard from customers that while they enjoyed the benefit of skipping the checkout line with Just Walk Out, they also wanted the ability to easily find nearby products and deals, view their receipt as they shop, and know how much money they saved while shopping throughout the store. To deliver even more convenience to our customers, we’re rolling out Amazon Dash Cart, our smart-shopping carts, which allows customers all these benefits including skipping the checkout line.

Evening Diogenese ,

Wow , pretty sad when one of, if not the largest tech companys can't perfect such a system.

Human labour is cheap as apposed to purchasing tech which dose such things.

If only it is our NPU hooked in with the Arm hardware...wishful thinking 🤷

Microsoft is certain its Arm-based AI PCs will outperform the newest MacBook Air

Updated on: April 09, 2024 2:22 PM

Microsoft is expected to release new Surface laptops for consumers in May that will be equipped with Arm-based hardware. The company thinks that the new PCs will be fast enough to outperform Apple’s MacBook Air with an M3 processor.

A few weeks ago, Microsoft announced its first so-called AI PCs, the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6, both aimed at business. Both of these PCs come with Intel Core Ultra processors equipped with neural processing units that can handle AI tasks.

However, buying these PCs right now might not be the best option, with Microsoft planning to release similar devices for consumers with better specs.
On May 20th, right before the Microsoft conference Build, the company will host a media event where it’s expected to announce new Arm-based models with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite System-on-Chip instead of an Intel Core Ultra.

The Verge, quoting unnamed sources in Microsoft, reported that Microsoft is confident that its new PCs will beat Apple’s MacBook Air with its newest and fastest processor, the M3, in CPU performance and AI-accelerated tasks.

According to the sources, these new PCs will also get access to the new AI-powered Windows feature list, including an AI Explorer app that lets users retrieve anything they’ve ever seen or done on their device.

In the middle of the year, Microsoft is expected to announce more Arm-based Windows AI PCs with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor.
Qualcomm has long tried to deliver hardware that can outperform chips manufactured by Apple.

In 2021, the CEO of the company, Christiano Amon, said that its newest chips could potentially be the best on the market. However, no one could beat Apple’s M chips.

Microsoft’s new PCs, the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 are the first so-called AI PCs with Windows OS. Many more Windows PCs are expected to be announced this year by Microsoft and other vendors, including Dell and HP.

An AI PC is a computer designed to handle AI and machine learning tasks. Its primary function is to handle AI and machine learning operations right on your PC instead of sending data to be processed on the cloud, thus enabling faster and more secure performance.

One significant feature that distinguishes AI PCs from others is Neural processing units (NPU). They are dedicated to handling specific AI tasks,
such as blurring video calls or detecting objects in video or photo editing, etc.

Even though central processing units and graphic processing units can also perform these tasks, NPUs are designed to do it efficiently, resulting in longer battery life.

While in the future, AI PCs promise private, personalized, and secure AI capabilities, right now there aren’t that many benefits of AI PCs. Software manufacturers have yet to create programs that the new PCs can utilize.
