If ARM was an arm, BRN would be its biceps💪!
This session at NVIDIA's GTC looks very interesting!

For some additional background info, I also watched this video with the SVP of Telecom, Ronnie Vasishta who discusses NVIDIA's partnership with Softbank in bringing AI to 5G RAN.

6 mins - Softbank partnership.
9.43 mins - "LLM inference at the edge is a very viable business model for whoever owns that infrastructure."
12.43 mins - Performance improvement using accelerators.
17.45 mins - "That's going to come more in demand as we see more autonomous analytics at the edge. You don't want to push all that data back into the network into the cloud, you want to use it at the edge. And do the analytics at the edge and do the inference at the edge."

A little old but shows the work MYWAI is doing for predictive maintenance and edge AI and explains why they were happy to announce partnership with BRN.

this is a good example of a company that will likely embed Akida into solutions but isn't of the means to just pay a 7-figure licensing deal.

"this is a good example of a company that will likely embed Akida into solutions but isn't of the means to just pay a 7-figure licensing deal."

I've always wondered how companies like MYWAI can get their hands on chips without the $7-figure. I've asked Tony Dawe this, only to be told BRN will not make an Akida 2 chip, and that hopefully there will be enough enquiries to MegaChips or Renesas to warrant them doing this.

What seems certain to me is that unless someone like MYWAI can tell their clients that the Akida based chips will be freely available, it's hard to see MYWAI pushing them to be included into any design.

This same argument applies to Valeo et all.

Unless some extremely large sensor manufacturer can pay the $7-figure, and offer all their sensors with akida incorporated, I feel that we will be waiting for the bus for some time to come.

Please, if there is anyone out there reading this post, can you think of how a firm like MYWAI could ever incorporate Akida into their solutions?

Well Mr or Mrs CHIPS,
The main reason I deleted my posts was because I replied to a post where one of our favourite posters

After posting this reply, it was taken down, and I was sent to the back of the classroom to sit in a chair facing the wall, I had been

One week later a poster writes in, want say any names, except their name starts with (fuf) tells me that I was another lost sheep for

I deleted it. (😁😆)
Next day I get a e-mail from you guess it Mr Zeebot, and this is what his said

Nearly twelve months old but sounds very much like Akida to me? 🤷🏻‍♂️ They refer to neural networks being used to identify recycle products and robotics to extract them??? https://recycleye.com/ai-waste-sorting-robots-are-future/

AI Waste Sorting Robots Are the Future of the Circular Economy

The world is becoming increasingly aware of the need to transition to a circular economy, and finding ways to efficiently and effectively recycle and reuse materials is becoming increasingly important. One promising solution to this problem is the use of artificial intelligence (AI) waste sorting robots equipped with computer vision technology. In this article, we take a closer look at how AI robotics technology can assist the transition to a truly circular economy.

What Is a Circular Economy?

A circular economy is an economic system that aims to keep resources in use for as long as possible and to minimise waste by prioritising reuse, repair, refurbishment, and recycling. In a circular economy, products and materials are designed and used in a way that allows them to be easily recovered and regenerated at the end of their life cycle. This is in contrast to the traditional linear economy, where resources are extracted, used once, and then discarded as waste.
The circular economy model encourages businesses and individuals to shift from a “take-make-waste” approach to a circular approach where products and materials are kept in use for as long as possible, either through repair, refurbishment, or recycling. This reduces the demand for new resources and the amount of waste generated, which in turn reduces the environmental impact of production and consumption.

Recycling as Part of a Circular Economy

Recycling plays a critical role in any circular economy. When rubbish or trash can be recycled and the resulting recyclate repurposed into different items, it removes waste from the cycle. However, optimising recycling processes is essential if we want to maximise the reusable components that are accessible via recycling.
Furthermore, increasing the efficiency and improving the cost-effectiveness of recycling is vital if we are to enhance the amount of waste that is recycled. Fortunately, new technology, like AI robotics and computer vision, is revolutionising the recycling industry and taking us closer to a circular economy.

What is Computer Vision?

Computer vision is a field of artificial intelligence (AI) and computer science that focuses on enabling computers to interpret and understand the visual world. It involves the development of algorithms and techniques to help machines analyse and understand visual data from digital images or videos.
Computer vision applications can range from image recognition, object detection and tracking to facial recognition, gesture recognition, and even autonomous driving. These applications use advanced computer algorithms to process and analyse visual data in real time, making it possible for machines to recognise patterns, detect features, and classify objects.
The technology behind computer vision involves the use of various techniques and algorithms such as machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, and computer graphics. These techniques allow machines to learn from large datasets and improve their accuracy and ability to recognise and interpret visual data over time

Was just watching this short vid IP Safe Enough To Use In Cars from end of 2020.

Whilst older and things would have changed since then, the tone was that compliance and testing would most likely be more intensive now.

Fron about the 6 min mark gives a good idea about how IP fits in the automotive SoC and what has to be done to get it to a compliant integration level.

Watched it cause I was thinking about MB and the post the other day about Markus and neuromorphic and wanted to understand some of the hoops to be jumped through.

Hi @cosors

Not much of a follower of individual candles other than more the various doji types for indicision areas.

Is that the Euro chart?

Some might look at that as a bullish engulfing though imo.

Obviously I follow the Oz trading more and have had the feeling there has been some probing by sellers / shorters for bulls weaknesses and support.

I posted in the TA thread last week about some basic thoughts at the time. Was watching the broadening wedge for failure or completion.

Some of my indicators at the time had a neutral bias for a possible breather, bit of sideways.

Volume has been drying up and as we know volume comes from sellers not buyers.

Demand comes from buyers and draws out volume from sellers. It's then whether big money (sprinkled with traders & some FOMO) support the move and drive through the supply and push price up (as we saw recently) or test sellers and then absorb supply with a more neutral price move / ranging.

So at the moment any trickle of volume is being soaked up by buyers but they are not trying to drive the price hence the probing comment.

If shorters are still keen they may chip away at the buy side then look to force a drive down and feed on any capitulation by buyers. Must remember that there will be buyers that will accept that and allow a fall so they can grab cheaper shares, if they believe in the FA.

Interesting time ATM.

Thanks @Fullmoonfever; another informative post.

It ties in with the MB recent LinkedIn piece which to me read that Neuromorphic is the way forward for efficiency however it will take time to achieve it‘s implementation throughout the vehicle; which I think is MB end goal. PVDM once stated he thought he could do a car with 100 chips. I’m not sure he meant everything within the car but 100 is a lot less than 2-3000 chips I’ve read are in current EV’s. The power efficiency, compute benefits and cost savings will be immense. Just think of the advantage MB will have over their competitors.

Brainchip was recently used in MB test vehicle and received rave reviews. MB have stated they were going to design and build cars from the hardware up. MB are promoting neuromorphic, we are currently their partners and leaders in the field. So you can draw your own conclusion as to whose IP they intend to use. As there will be limited systems certified (due to cost, expertise and manpower to develop and test them) MB could even on-sell their system if they choose to make bigger profits if they are making money via their competitors as well.

Again my opinion but I suspect we will see Akida used in the MBUX system next year. Possibly Driver Monitoring and also 60ghz radar for heartbeat monitoring which they have foreshadowed. I could be wrong but I think these 3 systems have already been tested and meet the necessary standards for inclusion into a motor vehicle. Socionext are already advertising these products for the automotive sector.

Unfortunately for a variety of reasons, including safety testing and certification I can’t see us being ”Throughout” the car until 2026 as stated.

So should I just wait until late 2025 and invest in Brainchip then or does that change my investment decision?

For me no. I see the SP strengthening and growing with a commercial agreement with MB (and possibly Valeo via Scala 3 lidar) by the end of the year. I’d rather sit patiently and gather collective SP rises than try to time the market as to when MB or anyone else is going to sign a commercial agreement and provide a revenue stream.

Of course there is the other 40+ known partners (and many unknown) who could drop an announcement at any time also. As every day passes it draws closer to it occurring: Defence, smart city, medical etc provides so many opportunities for growth.

My strategy requires fortitude and patience so I thank everyone who positively contributes to the forum.

Of course others may have different strategies so each to their own and good luck!

My opinion only so please DYOR.

:)

100% why Brainchip board (putting it lightly) keeps their mouth shut, only annouches only what is needed on the market, and doesn't brag about who has NDA's with them, If Sean has locked this up water-tight then there should be no second strike in the upcoming AGM!

Let's not talk about a second strike when there are 2 full months, and 78 employees busying away, for Sean to get a signature on pretty much anything.

Hi Fullmoonfever!

Thanks you for your explanation! It's US$. I only asked because it looked like that the day before:
1710393201650.png

It's from here:

I hadn't thought about the fact that the chart represents the very low trading on the OTC (152,358pcs so far). That certainly distorts it. Under the charts one can adjust many things that I have no idea about.
One of you once shared a simple guide about TA here and a hammer down was interpreted as bearish. But as I said it's the OTC and I only just thought about it when you asked about the currency.

I shouldn't bother with it as I obviously don't know how to deal with it and better read what you or others post from time to time.

Cheers!
