Thx FF

That's Gold! 🤣🤣🤣 Or did I mean Golf.

Learning.
Robin Williams was a genius of comedy and I loved his work but with the benefit of hindsight I now think sometimes I was laughing at the public expression of his mental health though this is not one of those occasions.

There was a time when the consolation for chasing a tiny white ball around the course was the exercise but now they use carts so they can get to the 19th hole more quickly. 🤪😂🤣 FF

Nice write up but the gold for me is

BrainChip, SiFive Announce Partnership for High-Performance, Low-Power On-Device Edge AI

Spiking neural network acceleration on one side and high-performance low-power RISC-V on the other could make for an edge AI match-up.

Spiking neural network specialist BrainChip has announced a partnership with RISC-V pioneer SiFive on artificial intelligence at the edge — planning to combine their efforts to provide chip designers combined IP.
"We are pleased to partner with SiFive and have the opportunity to have our Akida technology integrated with their market-leading product offerings, creating an efficient combination for edge compute," says Jerome Nadel, BrainChip's chief marketing officer. "As we expand our ecosystem of portfolio partners, we want to be sure that these relationships are built on complementary technologies, enabling capabilities, and breadth of environments so that we can expand opportunities to as many potential customers as possible."

"Employing Akida, BrainChip’s specialized, differentiated AI engine, with high-performance RISC-V processors such as the SiFive Intelligence Series is a natural choice for companies looking to seamlessly integrate an optimized processor to dedicated ML accelerators that are a must for the demanding requirements of edge AI computing," adds Chris Jones, vice president of products at SiFive. "BrainChip is a valuable addition to our ecosystem portfolio."
BrainChip's Akida technology is claimed to dramatically accelerate a range of problem domains at a very low power draw through the use of spiking neural networks — operating in much the same way as the human brain. Earlier this year it announced it would begin selling Akida accelerators to the mass market for the first time, after having launched Raspberry Pi- and Intel-based development kits three months earlier.

SiFive, meanwhile, is a pioneer in the commercialization of the free and open-source RISC-V instruction set architecture, having launched both its own application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) as well as making its IP — and that of its ecosystem partners — available for chip designers to integrate in custom parts. Two years ago the company turned its focus on edge AI with the Intelligence generator, which added the ability to define cores with the optional RISC-V Vector Extensions (RVV) for improved performance.
Thus far, however, the two companies have not confirmed any plans to release silicon combining their respective IPs — but both will be made available in SiFive's chip design ecosystem.”

I enjoy identifying marketing plans that use advanced psychology.

For instance McDonalds has had a cradle to the grave campaign running in the background for the lifetimes of young Australians.

In Brainchip’s case they are leveraging themselves as the first to market with an Ai Neuromorphic Chip to create a persona as the custodians of Ai knowledge.

Rob Telson who had no profile in Ai when he walked through the Brainchip front door has been transitioned into an Ai Thought Leader.

The only logical conclusion that one can draw for this transition is that when he walked through the Brainchip front door a light shone down upon him and the secrets of Ai were revealed.

Brainchip have labelled themselves in dealing with Mercedes Benz as Ai Experts and this has been accepted by Mercedes Benz when the Brainchip light was also revealed to them and fortunately they happily embraced that term and used it when introducing AKIDA technology as being used in the EQXX.

Building on this Brainchip is further refining their message to take full ownership of this space by promoting themselves as specialists in spiking neural networks.

The bringing on of a psychologist as head of marketing Jerome Nadel will see this positioning over the next two, three and five years grow and blossom with subtle wording reinforcing this at every turn.

In the end if this campaign is as successful as it has been to date any competitor that might rise up to challenge in three years time will not only have to compete against product incumbency but with the then established FACT that Brainchip is the undisputed intellectual thought leader and expert in Ai with leading specialist expertise in spiking neural network technology.

I personally would not envy the job of being the salesman who introduces this new product knowing that after I left the manager I just pitched too is likely going to pick up the phone and ring one of the experts in Ai at Brainchip to get a second opinion.

I reluctantly have cause to remember a poster from that past cess pit who constantly with his tribe of intellectual minnows decried that first to market had any value whatsoever and constantly put up links to alleged competitors which @uiux doggedly ripped to pieces.

Being first to market by three years when you are the real deal and know how to leverage your monopoly position gives you an advantage that others cannot match.

Move on, nothing to see.
As you say, time is a human construct. It is a "man-maid" measure of the earth's axial rotation superimposed on its solar orbit.

To say that time does not exist is like saying that the meter does not exist. It is a means of quantifying a physical phenomenon.

So what are the implications for quantum physics?

Planck time ( View attachment 3974 seconds) is said to be the shortest "meaningful" interval - the time to travel the Planck length (1.62* View attachment 3975 metres) at the speed of light.

So does that mean that things only exist in View attachment 3974 second intervals, or does existence have enough "flywheel" momentum to bridge the gap? Or is life just mostly meaningless?

As you can tell, by this stage, I'm well in over my head:

Afternoon Fact Finder ,

Just had a flash back to to my late grandfather, back in the day he would often play golf with the great Sir Don Bradman.

Before my time, but good to see family photos .

Memories of a bygone era.

Golf is a lovely escape from reality for a couple of hours.
I always found golf to be a good life lesson also.
Even if you are crap at it, you will always have that one moment of brilliance, or that one moment of luck, that will make it all worthwhile.
It’s when you take it too seriously that it can suck!

@Fact Finder you know if this went anywhere?

Benosman is co-founder of grAI Matter Labs, but makes a point of disassociating himself with that and other companies he has founded

A possible collaboration by former “rivals”?

There’s a link to a YouTube video “Why is Neuromorphic Event-based Engineering the future of AI?” below in which the BrainChip logo appears on a slide (5:55) - however we are not mentioned explicitly

If you were applying for a job working in the LiDAR lab at Valeo it would probably be useful to have familiarised yourself with the following Valeo research paper:

Well Peter van der Made got a response asking him to privately email Professor Benosman but I assume you saw that.

When the first neuromorphic communication from space was announced we discussed it and pretty much agreed that it did not use AKIDA on the camera in space.

In the recent presentation that Ken Scarince delivered there is a slide showing GrAi as a competitor.

In the material you posted the Professor is really distancing himself from GrAi in a quite remarkable fashion.

The only time I have seen that sort of distancing in my legal career is where someone is trying to limit their liability for the actions of others. In those circumstances they usually don’t throw in the bit about being available to work with others.

It is all a tiny bit strange but perhaps if Peter van der Made and he did get together following the message to contact some nervousness arose around the Professors prior work with GrAi and this is all part of his legal rehabilitation so that they can be certain when they sign up confidentiality agreements he could not later disclose things to GrAi and claim that Brainchip knew or ought to have known about his relationship etc; etc;

All highly speculative on my part so as usual

Great find but you really should supervise your children. They have to learn they can’t just draw on anything. I assume it will come off your screen but they should have to clean it for you. 🤣
