I'm amazed at how the bar has been lowered. A measly million now.

Just a reminder from the last 4C with only $40,000.00 received. ....

" Cash inflow from customers in the current quarter of US$0.04M was lower than the prior quarter (US$1.1M). "

And still Violin1 wants me to give him a smile ....weird ??!! :) :)

I'm amazed at how far the bar has been lowered. A measly million now.
Im going to lower it to zero in order not to allow shorters and the instos who lend them the shares to benefit from expectations.
Im going to expect the company to follow its plan and the money comes when it comes.
My expectation is revenue to come in days or in many months.

NETWORK OF EXCELLENCE PAVES THE WAY FOR EDGE AI TECHNOLOGIES

06/29/2023 | Press release| Fields of Application| Autonomous Systems| Human-Machine Interaction| Robotics| Sensors & Networks| Virtual & Augmented Reality| Augmented Vision| Kaiserslautern
© Shuo – Adobe Stock
The European Network of Excellence "dAIEDGE" promotes the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on edge computing platforms. By combining edge computing and AI (Edge AI), devices can make decisions in a few milliseconds by processing data directly at the point of origin - without insecure connections, high latency, large energy overheads or costs due to transmission. Edge AI is therefore a pathfinder and accelerator for many new applications in areas such as autonomous driving, personalized digital assistance and intelligent service robots.
As part of the European Union's initiative "European Network of AI Excellence Centres: Expanding the European AI lighthouse", the new network is intended to create a lighthouse within international AI initiatives. dAIEDGEstands for "A network of excellence for distributed, trustworthy, efficient and scalable AI at the Edge".

Under the leadership of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, experts in artificial intelligence, embedded computing, microprocessors, distributed hardware and software, computer science, and engineering will work closely together to
  • mobilize the AI and edge community,
  • connect al-on-demand platforms, digital innovation centers, and AI and Edge projects with relevant stakeholders,
  • initiate European partnerships and projects,
  • provide ideas, tools, services, guidelines and trends to support the next generation of Edge AI technologies.
Advanced edge AI technologies for different industries
To accelerate digital and green transformation through advanced AI technologies, applications and innovations, dAIEDGE builds on the existing assets and strengths of European industry. The main objective is to support and ensure rapid development and market adoption of distributed edge AI technologies, such as hardware, software, frameworks and tools. The applications of dAIEDGE are expected to be used in a wide range of fields, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), intelligent transportation systems, robotics, and healthcare. "The development of smart edge devices increases drastically their ability to make complex decisions autonomously and respond to real-time data. This is the basis for a dynamic AI ecosystem with distributed, trustworthy, efficient and scalable AI methods," says Prof. Didier Stricker, head of research lab Augmented Vision at consortium leader DFKI in Kaiserslautern.
The network has a project volume of €14.4 million, of which €10.7 million is funded by the European Union. dAIEDGE will work closely with major European AI initiatives such as HumanE-AI-Net, CLAIRE, ELLIS and AI4EU. To support the mobility of scientists through research exchanges and to carry out industrial research projects, the Network of Excellence will support 30 projects through the publication of three open calls for a total funding of 1.8 million euros.

I have never seen such a practical floor as on this car. This would only be topped by white and all the finest suede leather, glued of course and a paid service for the exchange.
But probably the lightning smart designers thought of that too. When you get out and in a small compartment opens with disposable protective covers for your shoes.

Actually I've been waiting for a long time for the car designers to follow the phone designers and come up with something along the lines of glas or suede coatings for the car body so that they can sell a nice silicone cover on top.

I don't know if I'm joking or not.

We ever come across any dots anywhere to these guys?

Not saying connected, just never seen them and they LinkedIn posted a spiel on neuromorphic not long ago

Seem pretty keen on neuromorphic (fyi Tony / Rob et al) & be nice if were working with them....have just a few pretty decent clients.

Geez....we might need a bigger bandwagon

On May 2023, EDI started the implementation of a new Horizon Europe project (EcoMobility) with the goal to develop a connected transportation ecosystem

ELEKTRONIKAS UN DATORZINĀTŅU INSTITŪTS > NEWS > ON MAY 2023, EDI STARTED THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A NEW HORIZON EUROPE PROJECT (ECOMOBILITY) WITH THE GOAL TO DEVELOP A CONNECTED TRANSPORTATION ECOSYSTEM
30. June, 2023

“Improved automotive vision systems are a crucial stepping stone towards safe and sustainable transportation, hence developing reliable and energy efficient solutions is in the center of attention. To address this challenge, the field of neuromorphic computing, a brain-inspired branch of AI, holds great promise. Specifically, spiking neural networks (SNNs), which mimic the structure and functionality of the nervous system, offer notable advantages such as speed and energy efficiency. Until now, the lack of efficient hardware accelerators has hindered the widespread adoption of SNNs. Nevertheless, this situation is rapidly changing, and EDI, with its expertise in reconfigurable logic devices, is well-positioned to contribute to further advancements in this field of research,”

on new frontiers in neuromorphic machine perception reflects Edgars Lielāmurs, the research assistant at EDI.
Until now, the lack of efficient hardware accelerators has hindered the widespread adoption of SNNs - first time I've heard this. FMF or @Diogenese how true is this? Is this the reason for basically zero adoption of Akida? I'm a bit miffed.

After reading the article, I get the impression they could be referring to neuromorphic hardware fit for their specific purpose. It seems like it is a large and ambitious project that includes several different partners across industries.

There was one paragraph about EDI's role that caught my attention:

"EDI will focus on developing and implementing object detection algorithms using Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs). EDI will also develop a mathematical model for SNNs and design an FPGA-accelerator to support the integration of SNN-based solutions into existing perception systems via high-speed communication interfaces."

The algorithms appear to be software that would use an SNN for object detection. This wouldn't be unlike NVISO and their development of algorithms for gesture recognition. When they talk about designing an FPGA accelerator to support the integration of SNN-based solutions, it is difficult to tell if they are going to "roll their own" or potentially design their own FPGA using BrainChip's IP through one of their partners, like MegaChips.

If they are creating a neuromorphic processor, it would be interesting in their approach and whether or not its design could infringe upon any of BrainChip's patents. Unless a company comes out from the shadows with a ground-breaking implementation of a neuromorphic processor, I would think that BrainChip has had a good head start on the research and development of its technology. They have even improved the technology further from industry feedback driving the next iteration due sometime this quarter.

Don't read too much into the "until now." It could be a bit of grandstanding, or maybe they were waiting for other 3rd party solutions to present themselves and save them some effort. The Akida IP is a base technology that can be integrated into several industry-specific solutions. For example, those in the automotive industry working on assisted driving solutions may be waiting for the product that Renesas has taped out. Their "until now" moment could mean when those solutions are available.

Fortunately, one researcher included their e-mail in the article. It would certainly be a shame if someone didn't at least mention BrainChip's technology to them, as well as the partners such as MegaChips and Intel Foundries that could assist in integrating Akida with their hardware-based solution.

Oh what I laughed when I read this name for the first time. Afeela a bit amused 😅
You could search at Foxconn. Maybe this could be more interesting for us here in this group.)

They grew up as Apple's court supplier. Today, they are where TSMC was a few years ago in terms of independence and no longer just a producer for others. They have become a supermarket for EV producers and cover everything from batteries (sub LT Tech) to chips. I find them highly interesting.

And another one:

Nice to see a new demo with the nuts and bolts. After so many years of showing the same demos, it might be time they produced new ones. For example, show the audience a current solution, such as a door bell, then implement akida and show how AI will improve the use case. Another example might be useful showing akida navigating through a maze of objects, show casing the intelligent capabilities of akida. Make the audience see AI in action rather than talking about it. Maybe we could think of a few and send the ideas to the team.
