BRN Discussion Ongoing

Geez....if we can't get a slice of some of this somewhere and make some coin then I wouldn't know what to say

Artificial intelligence stats and facts show just how much impact the AI market has had in the world. It has permanently shifted the technological landscape over the last few years.

However, the industry as a whole is still relatively new. As it continues to rise, AI and machine learning will drastically shape the way companies, businesses, and people interact with each other. Here are a few facts and statistics that you should know.

Media Alert: BrainChip Exhibits its Essential AI Capabilities at the Linley Fall Processor Conference 2022

Laguna Hills, Calif. – October 23, 2022
webicon_green.png
BrainChip Holdings Ltd (ASX: BRN, OTCQX: BRCHF, ADR: BCHPY), the world’s first commercial producer of ultra-low power neuromorphic AI IP, today announced that Chief Development Officer Anil Mankar will present “System-Level Advances in Neuromorphic Performance, Efficiency, Configurability and Scalability” at the Linley Fall Processor Conference 2022 in the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Santa Clara, California, November 1 at 10 a.m. PDT.
BrainChip’s presentation is part of the conference’s “AI Accelerators for SoCs” session. As part of the presentation, Mankar will demonstrate how BrainChip uses hardware/software co-design, AutoML and the results of discussions with many AI application customers to achieve advances in system-level hardware performance, efficiency, configurability and scalability with its neuromorphic compute architecture. A 10-minute Q&A session will immediately follow the conclusion of his speech.
“We’ve proven that deploying on-chip AI close to the sensor maximizes efficiency, minimizes latency and conserves energy,” said Mankar. “I look forward to sharing with attendees of the Linley event how the creation of the world’s first commercial neuromorphic processor provides faster, safer and smarter capabilities to an array of next-generation technologies looking to leverage learning at the edge.”
Linley Fall Processor Conference Powered by TechInsights will be held November 1-2 in person, via a virtual livestream and OnDemand. Presentations address processors and IP cores for AI applications, embedded, datacenter, automotive and server designs. In-person attendees will be able to hear presentations and interact with the speakers during Q&A, lunch and the networking reception. Additional information about the event is available at

ISL Wins Urban Air Mobility Challenge

ISL’s Agility Prime project team submitted an innovative idea to the ATI Urban Air Mobility Innovation Challenge in July 2022. The ISL team was notified of selection to pitch the idea to a select panel of judges at the Defense TechConnect Innovation Summit & Expo in Washington D.C. on September 28th, 2022. The innovative idea was centered around providing neuromorphic radar capabilities to the urban air mobility community for safety and autonomous use.
The ISL team was one of 20 selected companies to pitch their autonomous and urban air mobility ideas to the panel. The top 5 pitches were selected to receive “no strings attached” funding. The pitch was limited to 5 minutes with a 3-minute Q&A after to help the judging panel better understand the technology’s use and project goals. The ISL pitch team received a fair number of questions from the panel, many of which were centered around our neuromorphic training capability and modeling and simulation tool RFview®. ISL’s pitch was selected as one of the winners of the innovation challenge and received an innovation award certificate and an innovation medal.

Gotta be a little bit reassuring ..................:cool::cool:

Mercedes-Benz posts robust Q3 profit in a demanding environment.

"Mercedes-Benz saw robust demand especially for its Top-End and electric vehicles as customer orders exceed the constrained supply in large part due to the ongoing semiconductor shortages and bottlenecks in logistics. As the transformation towards an all-electric future continues, Mercedes-Benz Passenger Car BEV sales more than doubled in the first nine months of the year (+156%) and increased by 183% in the third quarter."

Is it me but the week or so leading up to the previous quarter we had quite a substantial increase in the SP? and the quarterly wasnt that bad, but leading up to this quarterly release it seems the rise in the SP isn’t there, so I hope this quarterly isn’t a let down and the traders are already aware of this hence why we are still dropping in SP this time round.

Remember how earlier this year Brainchip was having trouble finding appropriate staff to complete its mission.

Well as they say “one man’s loss is another man’s gain”:

‘Tis the season for tech layoffs

Intel isn’t the only tech company resorting to layoffs in this tough market. Just this year:

🪟 Microsoft cut around 1,000 jobs.

👻 Snap laid off 20% of its workforce as the company reported its worst earnings in five years since going public, and its stock price has slid nearly 80% this year.

📮 Flipboard booted 24 employees, a fifth of the company’s workforce, because of a struggling ad business.
🤫 Facebook parent Meta has been resorting to “quiet firing” to slim down its staff.
👥 Trading app Robinhood fired 23% of its employees to correct for over-hiring in 2021
📺 Netflix laid off some 450 workersearlier this year after losing subscribers for the first time in a decade.
🚗 Tesla scrapped 200-odd autopilot jobs
💸 Coinbase pared down its workforce by 18% due to economic headwinds and high costs

My opinion only DYOR

On the other hand MB has hired massive numbers of staff.

"Mercedes-Benz has been looking for 1,000 new software specialists for this area for a good year now – 3,000 worldwide. This is a tedious undertaking in view of the intensifying competition for digital talent. But it fills up in Sindelfingen: "We now have 850 on board," says Sabine Kohleisen, director of human resources. “At least two-thirds” of them come from outside."
https://www.stuttgarter-nachrichten...ord.1d135789-a0f2-410b-a81d-566bdb04f3c2.html

MBRDI has an even greater hunger for new employees.
"Saale attributed MBRDI’s emergence as a powerhouse of innovation to India’s growing talent pool. It employs some 9000 workers and is expected to hire 1000 more during the year."

I look at it opposite to you. A few years back, just prior to every announcement, there was a share price run up. Then when the news came out( and it was predominantly positive), the share price would then drop, baffling everyone. So, looking at whats happened now is the opposite and hopefully we will see the SP surge!

Two thirds came from outside so that means one third were hiding in the building. Bit strange maybe its a German thing. I wonder at what stage during the construction process they start to sneak in and what they eat and drink while waiting. I hope they have plenty of deodorant as it could be a bit unpleasant when they all jump out and ask for a job. 😁😆🚗🏎😂🤣😂
