Is Akida capable of something like this?
Yes.

Think about the plastic toy elephant. One single AKD1000 chip is presented with a single view of the elephant and takes one shot learns the elephant in one plane and then identifies all elephants from all angles in all types of scenes BOTH real and artificial.

Then, my head is exploding when are they going to announce the next generation AKIDA with LSTM, will take this ability and allow one single AKIDA chip to store input and decide not only is it an elephant but whether it is going to move forward or sideways or lay down in the mud.

Think about ganging more than one together to increase the AKIDA processing power.

Think about how AKIDA technology can function as one and a half nodes and do keyword spotting with 2 passes or be 80 nodes on the AKIDA chip and run Nviso applications like no other processor at 1,000 fps.

Then think about Meta and the suggestion it will need to put its giant banks of GPU’s in Iceland to reduce the costs of keeping them from melting.

Think about the fact that I asked Peter van der Made at the 2019 AGM if AKIDA could do maths as opposed to doing maths to do maths and he said yes.

Then think about the fact that Sandia have published that they have shown using Intel’s Loihi that spiking networks can do traditional computing better and more efficiently than maths accumulate ie spiking computing can do maths.

The thing is anything they can do AKIDA does better it can do everything better than you to.

As Anil Mankar stated at the 2021 Ai Field Day AKIDA processes at speeds well beyond the human brain and also was then the only processor that met and bettered all the proposed bench marks for TinyML.

Then consider that the current AKIDA chip uses scratchpad memory and stores incoming spikes only for so long as it needs to extrapolate what it is being told by the sensor. Just like you as a human when you see a familiar face it does not go through the laborious task of checking every pixel that makes up the complete image it selects just like you the points of similarity and just like you concludes instantly it is your mistress talking to your wife at the front door and initiates the flight response.

All this for under a $Dollar$ share price, Wow..

Nice that you have recovered and that you are back. I am worried about your flight options...

I should add that as AKIDA processes faster than you it will be waiting when you get to the pub with two schooners on the bar ready to discuss what you will say to your wife.

What's going on there do you reckon.
I guess the lack of sellers may finally taking it's toll?

The whole world is chasing after the brilliance of Peter van der Made and Anil Mankar if they keep running without a break they might catch up to AKD1000 in 3 years:

Perhaps the reason Brainchip is keeping AKIDA next generation under wraps is they do not want to lead to a rise in depression and anxiety amongst all these researchers.

Yes. Confusing. Sometimes early information does us no favours when no official follow up is recorded when expected.

- Could just be a drafting delay to explain the patent.
- Otherwise they dont see it as that important a patent to share with the investment community
- Otherwise there is an additional annoucement coming with it which would be welcomed
- Announcing it when Tony is back from leave in two weeks wouldnt make sense.

Bravo

If ARM was an arm, BRN would be its biceps💪!
Toyota and Denso were involved in an AI round-table discussion with none other than Mr Chip; AM 12 months ago.

So they’re both well aware of Brainchip.

In that advert you posted Renesas state they have >1B in business. I read that to mean they have >1B of business in the pipeline; not that they have bought a business for $1B. Renesas have been pushing their own products for ADAS but hopefully there will be a need for Akida in there somewhere.

Regardless having MB, Honda and the Stellantis range in the pipeline (not 100% confirmed) through Valeo it’s only fair to share.

We don’t want a complete Monopoly…. Ok, it would be nice!

:)
Hi @Stable Genius ,

"Renesas already acquired >1B$ business and high quality support is required for OEM/Tier1 for their smooth development and mass production launch".

I though this might have been referring to the Renesas announcement that @Makeme 2020 posted yesterday #28,417 that " That it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Steradian Semiconductors Private Limited (“Steradian”), a fabless semiconductor company based in Bengaluru, India, that provides 4D imaging radar solutions, in an all-cash transaction. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of 2022, subject to customary closing conditions. The acquisition of Steradian's radar technology will enable Renesas to extend its reach in the radar market and boost its automotive and industrial sensing solution offerings.

It also says "With the advancements of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) in the automotive market, automotive sensor fusion demand is growing to allow precise and accurate object detection of vehicles’ surroundings by combining data from multiple sensors, such as cameras, radar and LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging). Radar in particular accurately detects objects over long distances, day or night, even during harsh weather or other adverse environmental conditions. For these reasons, radar is considered an essential sensing technology for ADAS, and the number of radar sensors installed in vehicles is expected to triple over the next five years (Note). To respond to such growth potential, Renesas is expanding its automotive product portfolio with Steradian’s radar technology."

I personally see this as a very significant development, especially if Renesas intend to pair Steradian's radar technology with AKIDA for the whole sensor fusion thingamajig. 🤞

A bit of news on the latest between the US and China, and how it's affecting the chip industry:

"Without American chips from companies like Nvidia and AMD, Chinese organizations will be unable to cost-effectively carry out the kind of advanced computing used for image and speech recognition, among many other tasks.

Image recognition and natural language processing are common in consumer applications like smartphones that can answer queries and tag photos. They also have military uses such as scouring satellite imagery for weapons or bases and filtering digital communications for intelligence-gathering purposes."
