Hey Peeps,
What a great week we have had.
Just watched the KEYNOTE: Event-Based Vision webinar: A New Standard for Advanced Machine Vision Systems by Luca Verre the co-founder and CEO of Prophesee, the inventor of the world’s most advanced neuromorphic vision systems.
It was a good watch, no mention of BrainChip but it was all neuromorphic, event vision so very relevant since we were recently announced as one of their Partners.
He talked about lots of use cases even ultra slow motion, because it captures events so fast you can then view things in ultra slow motion in like a rolling feed so you don't miss anything like fault detection & this has the equivalent of 200,000 frames per second.......WOW.....see image below.
He talked about many uses some included in cabin monitoring with eye gaze, parcel tracking, vibration & frequency monitoring, & very interestingly (see below screenshot) one that is right here on our shores, he spoke about Western Sydney University's Astrosite, a world first efficient neuromorphic telescope event based sensing for space situational awareness.
Below is the link to the webinar, the link works for me but I already registered so if it does not work for you you may need to register to watch, registration was very simple.
Traditional machine vison systems have relied on frame-based methods, which represent motion by capturing a number of still frames each second. For mo
