yep moreover they have a long standing relationship with Renesas and camera used with Renesas RZ/A1H: and RZ/ARM Coretex-A9 AND RZ/A1LU and they are boasting on their website low power consumption. So maybe just maybe we can have Shikino under the waterline fo the iceberg

Notice of capital business alliance with MagikEye Inc, which has advanced technology for 3D sensing
Accelerating camera module development targeting the growing 3D sensing market
Shikino High Tech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Shikino High Tech) has advanced technologies for 3D sensing. (Headquartered in Connecticut, U.S., hereinafter, Magic Eye) has acquired some shares and signed a MOU on the joint development of camera modules utilising this technology. This partnership is the first step towards the future collaboration between the two companies developing products and technologies regarding the commercialisation of cameras for 3D sensing cameras, which have been particularly growing in demand in recent years. We plan to conclude a joint development agreement for commercialisation after consultation between the two companies in the future.
MagikEye Inc. CEO, Mr. Touji Miyazawa, said: “We have developed our own three-dimensional measurement algorithm: ILT (Invertible Light Technology). By simply adding an ultra-small laser projector designed with this technology to your existing camera module, you can achieve high speeds of up to 600 fps and a low latency response of up to 2 ms. You don't need to make major changes or resources to your CPU or SoC. By collaborating with Shikino High-Tech, who has high technology and proven track record in camera module manufacturing, we are confident that we can market in the 3D sensor products required by various businesses at the fastest possible."
Shikino High-Tech provides 3D camera modules as a camera module vendor for the business promoted by Magic Eye, aiming to commercialise advanced and high-performance 3D cameras with Magic Eye technology. We will continue to collaboratively develop cameras that are suitable for "3D facial authentication to prevent spoofing" as tech's proprietary product.
