On behalf of the Minister of Industry, Julien Paluku, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry Saturnin Wangwamba closed the DRC-Africa Battery Metals forum which was held from September 20 to 21 in Kinshasa. This very high-level meeting had the theme: “creating wealth in the value chain of the battery metals industry in the DRC and Africa”.
In his closing speech, Saturnin Wangwamba wanted to thank all VUKA Group staff and all the partners of this forum for the efforts and logistics made for its success.
Also, he said, the Ministry of Industry recognized the expertise of all participants, moderators, panellists and speakers for their individual contributions to the coordination of relevant and constructive suggestions in the advent of a manufacturing industry. battery in Africa.
“I salute the spirit of fraternity, collaboration, sincerity and mutual trust which characterized the exchanges during these meetings, more particularly the presence at this forum of the Zambian Minister of Mines and the provincial Minister of Mines of Tanganyika, who personally wanted to take part in this forum,” he said.
For the Ministry of Industry in the DRC, the time is not for speeches but for concrete actions proving visibility in terms of reliable infrastructure and effective provision of the measures taken for exploration, exploitation, production of battery metals, construction of product evacuation roads, manufacturing and its operation.
Also speaking on behalf of the DRC, the Ministry of Industry invited Congolese economic operators and other foreign investors to fully commit to the battery and electric vehicle manufacturing industry.
For the Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry, this forum suggests to the DRC in particular that the establishment of a road map is more than vital in terms of commitment to the path of the battery value chain that everyone wants first.
According to the representative of Julien Paluku, the participation of everyone in this event demonstrated to such an extent that they themselves are initiators, each has their own level of commitment to the avenue of batteries and electric vehicles in Africa and particularly in the DRC and Zambia.
He reassured participants that the recommendations resulting from this forum will be transmitted to the Minister of Industry, Julien Paluku for their consideration by the Government of the Republic.
For two days, participants reflected on the value chain of batteries and electric vehicles during the activities of this first edition of the Africa forum on battery metals. The discussions focused on the main question of how to create wealth in the battery metals value chain in the DRC, Zambia and Africa.
Dathcom is a DRC requirement.Ponderings... Is Dathcom about to vanish into smoke, hence Serge needing a job?
I said a while ago they should and might get rid of "Dathcom" since going forward neither Dathomir nor Comminiere will be part of it.
New JV new name IMO.
Does this announcement suggest doom and gloom for AVZ ?...............NO
Fresh talent to detract from the MMGA maggots? I'm feeling positive about today's appointments though.Does this announcement suggest doom and gloom for AVZ ?...............NO
Does this announcement suggest AVZ has a future ?...........YES
Otherwise, why bother appointing 2 more directors ?

We‘ll probably have ML Friday now with that honey with a resume to match
Under the current JV you mean?Dathcom is a DRC requirement.
Please read the legislation.
I agree. Also why would they take the job. They both have plenty of accomplishment, I’m sure they would have other options and better opportunities if avz was going no where.Does this announcement suggest doom and gloom for AVZ ?...............NO

"Fresh talent to detract from the MMGA maggots?"Fresh talent to detract from the MMGA maggots? I'm feeling positive about today's appointments though.
I mean because of this:Under the current JV you mean?
Government ownership doesn't have to mean Dathcom.
Yeh so could just be AVZ and DRC with the freely assigned 10%I mean because of this:
Companies that wish to develop mining activities in the DRC are required either to incorporate a Congolese company or to elect domicile with a 'mining agent' as a condition of eligibility to obtain an exploitation permit. In addition, to be eligible for a mining permit, companies are obliged to either form a joint venture with a state-owned company (such as Gécamines) that already holds the necessary permits, or freely assign a mandatory 10 per cent stake of its share capital to the DRC.
Yeah true BEISHA, it must have been in the wings for some time to organize and entice an appointment like that. The timing is fortuitous and her resume reads a lot better than PH and the unemployables."Fresh talent to detract from the MMGA maggots?"
I don t think the " fresh talent " was picked off the tree for that purpose, it smacks me in the eyes of long term development....

That green dress is an epic troll, Shirley?
Well here we are with optimism in the air. Was told last week investors will receive regular announcements from the best BOD on the ASX. It was never the case of getting rid of the BOD but getting rid of shareholders with the mentality of schoolchildren especially those who take social media reports as gospel. Remember what Nigel said awhile back "Stay off Social Media" and that was aimed at the gulible, the stupid and those who complain that Nigel is paid $400,000 per year which is peanuts.
