Regarding ASX200 funds needing to sell AVZ:
When we entered the ASX200 in March there's was immediately approximately nearly 100 million shares shorted. Let's assume that this is due to the funds that had to buy AVZ shares to track ASX200 lending out their shares for shorting.

As I understand it, in order for these funds to sell their AVZ shares, whoever borrowed it off them will have to first purchase them back, then return to the funds, before the funds can then sell it to adhere to their investment mandate. This leads me to believe that after the ML is confirmed, the SP may very well go up first due to the shorters being required by the funds to return the shares having to buy first, before pressure on the SP happens in the ensuing days due to the funds selling the retrieved shares.

DRC: the World Bank wants to invest in mining sector reforms​

On Thursday, November 17, 2022, the Minister of Mines, Antoinette N'Samba Kalambayi received the Country Director of the World Bank, Albert G. Zeufack, in his work office.

The talks between these two personalities follow the meeting on October 1st, on the promises of this financial institution to accompany the ministry in terms of consultancy in order to bring some reforms in the mining sector.

In this regard, a technical mission of this Financial Institution is expected in the coming days in the Democratic Republic of Congo to work in collaboration with the ministry's experts.

For the Director of Operations of the World Bank, after this fruitful and promising interview, the boss of Mines was very receptive to her host.

Nice to see some positive press coming from the ground. Though it's from NGOs, journalists and fake twitter accounts rather than the Company, highlighting community and DRC support I think is important to counteract the propaganda campaign of the Chinese and the corrupt DRC entities they are backing. I'd love to see more of this.

Unfortunately DEBOSS got caught up with the debacle that was WFE & VEC ( jason brewer ), just like me and would have lost a poultice.

Fuck that Brewer carnt - I lost a bit on 4CE & WFE too. At least I was able to use it to offset the CGT on the part of my AVZ holdings I sold before suspension.

Apologies that post was written about a million hours ago and incomplete and accidently posted now...

The point is (picking up the issue) at the AGM Nige intimated the reason for the suspension was somthing related to shorters coming onto the scene and Management wanting to shut down the damage to the SP

The halt and suspension as per announcements was never ever anything to do with a short attack and looking to support the SP

It was (and always had been) in relation to issues (whatever they fucking are) over our "mining and exploration rights"

Anything mentioned about the ongoing suspension being in relation to an orchestrated short attack to me is convenient bullshit

If it was related to a co-ordinated short attack then put it in the fucking official company announcements

Lets be honest we have zero chance of going into production in 2024 . Nigel is obviously not confident enough to start ordering parts /long lead items . It's earliest mid 2025 . Possibly 2026 if this drags on for another 6 months or more . Of course a take over could solve all of that .
