And here they come, even recruited Christian Lusaka, why am I not surprised.
It was also the reason of the visit by the AFP of the AVZ office...

What shameless scum they are, Christian must know where this is going and it’s not going to end well for a corrupt lawyer.

China here, China there, China everywhere !

Now i understand why Trump wants to take back the Panama Canal.

Whilst this article is not directly related to AVZ, it highlights the mammoth job to over turn China influence.

Just to clarify- have we now also paid the opposing parties fees? If so, is think that should be shouted just as loudly by Kiki et al
I have always read and re-read company announcements as if it is said, it’s happened. If it’s not said, then that’s a no.

“These arbitrations proceedings will now proceed” is good enough for me.

According to this Republican congressman attacks on US embassies is a big No No under Trump:

After the strikes on Somalia yesterday ordered by Trump, a bit of speculation on his thinking on Africa:

But it is likely he may eventually take a different approach, not just on Somalia but the African continent as a whole.

His former defence secretary, Mark Esper, said in his memoir that Trump "didn't see much value" in having any Americans – military personnel or diplomats – anywhere on the continent.

This may be more so the case with Somalia where al-Shabab are seemingly growing more resilient, and the US may decide it is not worth it.

Trump 1.0 saw him de-prioritising US outreach to Africa - he hosted two Sub-Saharan African leaders but never visited the continent.

Trump 2.0 will likely view Africa through a competitive lens, due to US adversaries Russia and China hugely expanding their trade influence on the continent.

Daily update

Travel advice update

Democratic Republic of the Congo

04:24 pm - 3 February 2025
We've reviewed our travel advice for the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and have raised the travel advice. We now advise do not travel overall due to the volatile security situation and the threat of conflict, violent protests, terrorism and kidnapping.

The security situation in the DRC is volatile across the country. Conflict in Eastern DRC is escalating. Violent demonstrations and protests may occur in Kinshasa and other locations. Some airlines have suspended flights to and from Kinshasa. Other options to depart the DRC may close with little or no warning. If you're in an affected area, shelter in place until it's safe to leave. Always exercise extreme caution. Monitor local media for updates, arrange effective personal safety measures and ensure travel documents are up to date.
