Nobody likes the silence... but, I'd rather silence with any chance of success than comms that possibly jeopardises things further... but, it sucks

Hang in there everyone
they owe us an announcement regarding Locke and they should inform shareholders of their work and action to solve the many issues they face. It’s not hard to make an announcement without compromising information. We are paying their salaries, what the fuck are a bunch of geologists and mining production managers doing on our dime when the asset is stranded in legal battles? Other than drinking at the Australia club and dealing with their own personal investments. To be clear. Investments in our competitors, made with money we pay them to not do what they are paid to do. Nigel should have reduced his wage to $150k gotten rid of any mining logistics members of BOD, gotten his ass to the DRC and sorted this out. Not wined and played victim from Perth while he relies on shareholders to fight his battles on Twitter. And an announcement should reflect this. But mate we all appreciate your positivity hang in there indeed. It’s all we can do. I lost a student to suicide yesterday. It’s important to keep things in perspective. Big love to all the holders here holding the line and doing incredible work keeping us in whatever loop is available.

I think it’s fucking brutal and understand your comments Rhyno especially related to mining engineers on full salary, but unfortunately necessary at this stage.

Real test on the nervous system that’s for sure

RHyNO,

I am of the opinion that Nigel is not in it for the Salary - It has been reported that he has 50 million + shares. If those shares are worth $1 each and he earns simple interest at 3% then he earns $1.5 million per annum. Anybody thinking that he is delaying for the piddly salary he receives is a moron in my opinion.

I am of the belief Nigel is working incredibly hard under very difficult and complex conditions to get the best ourcome for himself and shareholders.

If anything, Nigel should get a salary increase for the shit he and the board have had to endure.

And no, I will not support a $1 takeover bid not even close.

Nigel for sure deserves it as does Ben who’s been in country for several years. Not convinced Graeme who obviously hadn’t stepped foot in the Congo in years and Jan who is CEO of another company deserve full pay (maybe they’re on half salary).

Point is as well is our dwindling finances, Nigel probably deserves more but in this climate and the fight we’re in, he’s adequately incentivised to secure a positive result no matter how much he’s paid (unless he wants to let someone else negotiate his multi million dollar settlement).

All semantics at the end of the day but they will face a lot of backlash if avz go insolvent down the line (which I don’t think they will).

Mate can you drop the ,Nigel has 50 million reasons for this to succeed , bunch of bull sh1t please . It's a pathetic argument and it has no bearing on what the outcome of this sh1t show will be . Nigel's incentive is to unlock share holder investment so we can access our own money . As you know he has collected almost $1 million in salary since this suspension began . So spare me the high praises . Management of company finances has been appalling to say the least . As for you turning down $1 ? In your dreams mate ,because at this moment , and until someone informs us differently , AVZ ain't worth the sweat off my Jatz Crackers . To say you'd turn down $1 dollars is an insult to those share holders who have suffered financial hardship because of the cluster F--k . imo

Spot on people claim they won't take anything over $1 but can't get anything over .03c.

Wombat,

Its easy to throw stones on the sidelines.

I definitely cant afford to lose my investment - but I am not one for being bullied either. Lets see what happens with the ICSID / ICC.

I am looking forward to seeing you run for a Board position especially with you not being happy with the current leadership. As part of your application, I would love to see what your vision is.

MoU imminent
Resolution imminent
Shareholder value agreement imminent
Funding imminent
Re-established communication with drc government.
Ongoing dialogue.
Winning icc court cases.

I don't need a company announcement to know exactly what they are going to say. Not worth worrying about shit that is out of my control. As worrying will do fuck all to change the outcome.

What I can control is the information I share, and where I invest my money in the future.

I resent this whole 'If you could do better, do it yourself' mantra.

I wouldn't expect Nigel to be able to do my job, but if I had not achieved a single goal or timeline for my stakeholders I wouldn't get anything like this level of leniency. These blokes are on absolute top-dollar, clock-watching, while lawyers do all the legwork currently. While my life is in absolute shambles over the past 2 years, Nigel has taken home > $1million dollars.

The BOD has fundamentally failed shareholders. Going back and watching interviews with Nigel who has always come across as arrogant which now rubs me the wrong way. I wonder if this attitude soured some of his relationships in the country, not that I am saying that's the key factor outside of corruption.

It would be nice if management showed some humility, reduced salaries, did not invest in competitors, and acknowledged their fault in all of this (eventually).

I disagree - lets wait for the ICSID and the ICC rulings.

If you want to bag the Board then thats an invitation for me to comment.

So wait another what...2 years or so until ICSID is wrapped up? Then more years waiting to see if DRC will eventually respect the ruling?

And of course no bagging the board in the meantime... that is if it's even the same board, given likely automatic spill challenge after another tick against the renumeration report at the next AGM

The thing is that management are aware of all of the stuff behind the scenes so they are probably comfortable to some degree with the way that things are progressing - i.e winning court cases, being advised by the legal team that it is highly likely at worst we end up with a win at ICSID etc.

What they might not understand is that there are a number of people who still have a high % of their net worth locked up in this and continue to spend their time in full time work with...... no idea what the next step is at the moment? All of the announced court dates have passed as per @Hudnut's comments. What was the outcome of the latest court cases? What are the next dates to come? It isn't hard to put an announcement out every few months with a arbitration/court case updated timeline. It certainly isn't something that needs to be hidden from the "detractors" as they are well aware of what stage of the game they are in.

We’ve never been given any timelines regarding ICSID. Only person that did provide an outline on how long it will take is 9card who was clearly silenced by management. June 2025 is the initial hearing. We will be lucky to get a decision before 2027. Will be a miracle for any action to be taken on it by the DRC ever. A negotiated outcome is the only way out of this mess this side of 2030 imo
