S.E. got a copy of the shareholder register remember. It had all the shareholders details in it including the superannuation funds holding AVZ details

Some suspect it’s an attempt to acquire shares to call an EGM

Genuine email.
Logged into my account to see the same event listed - AVZ takeover dated 01/07/2024 .

It's legit whatever it is. Very curious.

It's legit comming from my super.
As I said I even logged on and it's showing in my account as a takeover under corporate action.

Well there is clearly no currently announced takeover offer for AVZ.
Could there be one happening that hasn't been announced to market yet somehow our super companies have been made aware of it?
Possibly, let's just wait and see.
I suspect it's not what we're thinking it is though.
