AVZ Discussion 2022

Winenut

Go AVZ!
Shorts dropping always positive. Makes me very curious though that it was such a big drop so suddenly.... Was it just one big shorter closing out? And does shortman actually continue to receive reliable shorts info if the company isn't publicly traded anymore?

At least though this looks like an actual drop and not just one of the weird blips they sometimes get on the graph.

Shorts dropping means they're closing out

They win and are happy

Those selling to them are probably getting fuck all for their shares and totally reamed and providing the shorters with the escape hatch

Personally I'd prefer it if no-one was selling to the shorters and they couldn't close their positions to eventually get absolutely fucked if/when AVZ comes good and the price puts the shorters well out of the money

But hey.....that's just a little dream I have that I still hope comes true

Yeah I know, but we keep talking about shorterS plural. Did they all coordinate to close at the same time? Or is that whole chunk of shorting show there was a single major player involved?

Shorts closing is not a good sign here. They got the best price ever to close out...what to wait for.

Tshisekedi goes to China May 23 and comes away with nothing. Zinjin pay 70 mill and increases activity in the north. They would be doing that without assurances from the highest level that the army won’t prevent them.

I too am trying to live Chyna-free as much as possible.

New fridge and TV are Korean, but I am sure that a least some of their components are made further north.

Maybe the way to get around buying a Chinese EV such as a Polestar without the profit going to Chyna is to buy near-new used, rather than spanking new.

No chicken-feet soup for me either.

What’s curious is the venom still coming from our detractors over on the other site, Cleary they aren’t shorters otherwise you’d just cover and move on? The fact they are spending days on end down ramping is still a positive sign for me. Very quiet from an info perspective currently

When AVZ entered the ASX 200 the indexes involved were required to buy. For what ever reason a large number of shorts also entered that day.
There was discussion that the large number of shorts may have been a hedge against the long positions that they were required to buy. This probably has something to do with AVZ being in a shit jurisdiction..... funny that.
My guess is that the big drop in short % on shortman.com is likely the long and shorts of the indexes that bought just cancelling each other out now that we have been delisted. The remaining short positions are likely dickheads like Hoots and boatman + a heap of traders + others. I havent heard of anyone successfully buying offmarket for short positions to be closed so I wouldnt jump to conclusions that they know any more than we do or that they closed at a low price. IMO

Yes totally agree.

Could very much be the index funds closing out hedge positions they had taken......correct

My very best wishes to them

And I continue to hope that Hoots, Boatman, old mate Shane and all the other knobjockeys get absolutely royally fucked.....

We have legal title over the tenement, so why are we letting zinjin? I think is the real question. Of course I’ll get the hit brigade here shouting me down. But why if our legal title is so good. Are we not securing the tenement? How is this not top of our list? A nice shareholder announcement “we have secured our tenement with contracted security and ensured all entities other than AVZ are expelled from what is legally ours”. But of course this would require 2 things.
1. Actual good legal title (looking less good and less legal now)
2. A CEO and BOD interested in working for their money.
I don’t see either, but maybe that’s because the guys have gone quiet. (Cue the hopium addicts screaming “I have faith” “ there are things going on behind the scenes”

But why if our legal title is so good. Are we not securing the tenement?

I can think of a reason.....

So we never owned it, yet were allowed to spend 100m to explore and define the biggest lithium hard rock project the world will ever see....

Yep, all makes sense to me now.
