The mining licence was granted for the southern area in the initial decrees. It was then cancelled illegally in the new decrees.

Does anyone think now that Nigel should have accepted the ML for Roche Dure and surrendered Nth CDL? We'd either be well into the mine build or Taken Over by now .We would have been trading all this time as well. I really hope Nigel hasn't shot us all in the foot . The suffering so far for many share holders better be worth it .

Just for clarification, it's the decree to award the licence which was cancelled.
Licence was never actually issued.
Yes but it was granted. Which is the wording that was used. The fact that we legally received the licence will mean we will annihilate the DRC if it goes to the ICC. So it's really important to understand the distinction.

The licence was granted, awarded, given or any other term you want to use. The only thing that didn't happen was the calculation of surface rights which is meant to occur within 5 business days according to the mining code.

I think that podcast got a bunch of stuff wrong but they are completely correct about the licence being rescinded. Nigel repeatedly talks about the 'survival of the acquired rights' in the letter from Dathcom to the MoM after the new decrees were issued.

RBA sticking the boot in again with another rate rise. Probably wouldn't have been a concern to most here if DRC simply followed their laws, as we would not have mortgages to worry about by now.

Paris Plage in Le Touquet ….Tommy being the prick he is probably got the ferry across and looked for the nearest restaurant with the name ‘Paris’ in it in order to create a stirr , Le Touquet is actually about 250km away from Paris
No doubt.

Tom would be rattled by the discovery of Cominiere documents he relied on aimed to deceive him. Or perhaps it is worse than that

Paris Plage in Le Touquet is closer to London than to Paris

It’s amazing how many times that has to be repeated.

I thought the podcast by ‘money of mine’ was useful for how the general public paying a bit of attention would see the situation.

Money of mine while starting with how strategic AVZ Manono is to peers couldn’t tie that in with why perhaps AVZ didn’t allow the crooks to subvert it’s disclosure requirements — blackmail? and also, maybe ASX actually has known all along since 2021

The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Félix- Tshisekedi, invited the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) to ensure the strict application of the provisions contained in decrees, laws and regulations on business management.
The resurgence of conflicts between statutory bodies within companies in the State portfolio and public institutions caught the attention of the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi, during the 96th meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Friday, April 28, 2023.
Indeed, the General Inspectorate of Finance is called upon to enforce the provisions contained in the aforementioned Decrees, in particular the number of participants required for meetings of the Boards of Directors, the rights and social benefits granted to active and non-active representatives, as well as to censors and representatives of Ministers, but also to respect the functioning of these entities with the number of agents defined in the organic
This inquiry by President Tshisekedi follows the reports received from him reporting the increasing number of cases of conflicts between statutory bodies both within companies in the State portfolio and in public institutions.
The Congolese Head of State drew the attention of different protagonists to the need to put an end, once and for all, to the bad practices of the past.
Félix Tshisekedi asked the Minister of State, Minister of the Portfolio and the Sectoral Ministers to be actively involved to restore peace, and enforce the Laws and Regulations on business management, without which none of the major reforms envisaged could be possible.
The situation illustrated by the conflict within the Société nationale des hydrocarbures du Congo (SONAHYDROC SA) between the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Michel Eboma, and the Director General, Marcellin Bilomba.
The Director General of this public company criticizes the members of the Board of Directors for granting themselves tremendous advantages to the detriment of this company's fund. It was suspended by the Board of Directors. A suspension that he will sulk in the process not recognizing the quality of the Board of Directors to suspend him.

Looks like there’s some pretty direct finger pointing in that article ; it will be interesting how Lukondes report scrubs up when he presents it to FT on the 12th.

Head of state ‘drew the attention’ of different Protagonists 🤔

Minister of state , MoP seem to be the the bell end of the megaphone..

Work: the Congolese government is committed to promoting decent employment for the Congolese population

The Democratic Republic of Congo celebrated, Monday, May 01, the International Labor Day under the theme: “promoting decent employment in a changing world”, in a ceremony chaired by Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde.

On this occasion, he subscribed, in his word of circumstance, for the establishment, in the DRC, of a world of work freed from all servitude and all the most degrading forms of exploitation of man by the man.

“May Day shouldn't just send us back to historic struggles for recognition of the status and rights of workers.

This day, dedicated to work, is also an opportunity to appreciate the ability of men and women to change the order, the life of the community, of their company, of their country through their work.

This is why your legitimate demands, which I followed up on here a while ago, must remain at the heart of the concerns of the government of the Republic.

The Head of Government stressed that the executive continues to make efforts and take strong measures to promote labor in the country.

Press day: President Tshisekedi will commune with media professionals in Kinshasa

Humanity celebrates every May 3 of the year, the day of freedom of the press.

For this year, UNESCO is organizing a special anniversary event at the UN headquarters in New York, marking 30 years since the decision of the United Nations General Assembly to proclaim an international day for freedom of the press.

Meanwhile, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi will commune with media professionals at the Congo River Hotel in the commune of Gombe.

The day is placed under the theme “Shaping a future of rights: freedom of expression as a driver of all other human rights”

Partners from the media, academia and civil society are invited to organize events around the world around this theme, says UNESCO.
