AVZ Discussion 2022

Maybe it can be a bit of both?
I'd love to see a scoreboard of how much has been invested into Manono
AVZ - $100mil
ZIJIN - $0
Yeah spot on mate. Emphasising the positves of AVZ is definately a winner. Some sort of bar graph showing the difference between what we have invested here and what Zijin has contributed. This accompanied by he long list dot point of acheivements of AVZ over the past 6 years v what Zijin has acheived...crickets !!!
Over to the creative genius of @ Spikerama.....

Poor Adele, clearly she is just misunderstood. Apparently she is helping Felix win the upcoming election calling for support from her followers.

Does anyone have that list that was posted that detailed all the work AVZ has done with respect to Manono? There was one going around the past month, just can't find it.

At the end of the day I give zero fucks what happens to the MoP. If she says sorry it won't happen again to the Congolese community and she is moved to another position in the government and Felix is happy to explain why that's acceptable to the IGF then whatever it's not our problem. Even if she remains as MoP but we get the licence then I'm still happy with that outcome.

The numbers are correct as per the DFS. Christian Lukusa quoted these exact figures when talking about this subject in the interview he did in September.

The actual loss of tax revenue for the DRC government is much higher than 300k USD per day considering the rise in spodumene price.
Yeah, you'd imagine this is actually a very conservative figure given the price increases and it isn't even factoring in the 10% freeholding of the project either.
Actually, I'm sure there was another one. Went into specifics like "Completed DFS" and "Engaged with vendors" etc
Perhaps you are talking about @Winenut 's letter?

Oh piss off Jens. Every prediction you have ever mouthed off about has been a turd. You're so full of shit I bet your eyes are brown.
I know Jens from Phuket days and his best mate was Mr Easter Eggs, one dollar in the house Micheal Langford and we all know how that ended up. Jens did own 20 odd million but sold down somewhat and now not in the T20. I'm making a call that his not connected to BOM/BOD directly due to that relationship with ML. It's probably his interpretation of it and his made a call. He may think his the man on the bird and his network getting some feed back. Could be wrong, but that's how I see it. I agree with your thoughts on a prior post that we attack with facts and not the man - FT.

Felix hasn't given AVZ a positive word (or any word) since the fake battery council. He should be embarrassed btw.
If he'd back us Shareholders would be singing his praises but he hasn't chimed in on the issue for the past 16+ months WTF's he playing at? are we moving ahead or being thrown to the Chinese dogs as a political sacrifice?

Yes, some very good ideas here.
# of years exploring in manono
# of core samples drilled and logged
# of dwellings rehabilitated
# of community meetings

AVZ themselves might be able to help with such data - more reason to get in touch, @Spikerama

Economic Forum of Kinshasa: the EU and the DRC commit to launch negotiations on the value chain of critical minerals. Press release

Joint press release Commitment to launch negotiations for a strategic partnership on the value chain of critical minerals
On the sidelines of the official visit of President Emmanuel MACRON and the European Commissioners Jutta URPILANEN and Thierry BRETON respectively in charge of International Partnerships and Internal Market, the European Commission and the DRC undertake to launch negotiations for a strategic partnership on the responsible value of critical minerals. The announcement was made during the "Kinshasa Economic Forum" on March 4, 2023.
This partnership will be an opportunity to strengthen the links between the two parties around common interests and objectives, in particular the establishment, in the DRC, of the said value chain.
Negotiations on the strategic partnership will aim, in the coming months, for the signing of a win-win memorandum of understanding (MOU) in this area as well as the establishment of a roadmap around cooperation projects and investments.
This new partnership falls within the framework of the priority objectives of the 2063 agenda of the African Union focused essentially on the aspiration of a prosperous Africa based on inclusive growth and sustainable development as well as the Global Gateway, the strategy European Investment Fund to establish sustainable and reliable connections around the world that serve people and the planet.
This partnership is able to accelerate the ecological transition in the EU and in the DRC. In addition, it will advance sustainable development in the DRC. II

examine the entire ecosystem of critical raw material value chains and ensure local added value. This includes, inter alia, the business climate, skills and job creation as well as issues such as the use of child labour. In accordance with its renewed strategy for the Great Lakes, adopted on 20 February, the EU is ready to support the DRC in restoring lasting peace and transitioning to an economy of peace based on a positive economic agenda, investments and responsible trade.
During the opening of the DRC Africa Business Forum, on November 24, 2021, the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félix-Antoine TSHISEKEDI expressed the wish to see the DRC, which is at the center of the world production of electric batteries, take regional production leadership. He invited his African counterparts to seize the opportunity offered to the continent, to build the electric battery industry together. The forum called on other African countries to contribute to the great challenge of energy transition.
It is in this same context that during the European Union-African Union summit of February 18, 2022, African and European States expressed their desire to strengthen their cooperation for the energy transition and to explore ways of engaging in a strategic partnership on the sustainable value chains of critical materials.
In order to achieve the objective of carbon neutrality in 2050, the European Union has embarked on a historic shift in its industrial production and is strengthening its supply strategies for critical minerals with countries endowed with these strategic resources. With this momentum, the European Union is ready to contribute to the development of intra-regional mechanisms for the sustainable management and governance of natural resource value chains.
The DRC, which has the natural resources essential to this transition, aims in particular to develop a local value chain and a market around the battery, electric vehicle and renewable energy industry in Africa.

I wouldn’t stop the barrage of facts, as those are the items between me and a more financially stable future for me and generations to come.

The statement smacks of “I know something you don’t know” childish crap, same as winks and anyone else (like our new prince friend on Amazon) publicly stating they’re on the inner sanctum of the situation or have influence over some part of it.

Pack rules apply - if the majority say to pause, then so be it.

@Spikerama I think we can let them have a week. Good thing is that what is being done on the twitter is hurting them, someone is feeling the heat of it, question is who is that someone (FT) and who is them (BoD)?

I dont think a formal request will directly come to us from the BoD to take it easy on social media as they dont want to leave any evidence by doing so. At Brisbane RS, Nige said to continue tagging FT on Twitter to remind him about us and work we are doing, but of course he didn't mean to insult him or anything, which we are not doing anyways.

We can send the message across in other ways as suggested above by @Mr Inappropriate.

OK so I've just been contacted by Jens Emil Soderlund on my twitter private message. He has asked me to lay off the so called "Memes" (they are not memes they are tactical comms). He said just lay off because the President is getting pissed off with them (embarrassing).

The request was to lay off just for this week. (obviously due to Macron visit). I told him I hadn't even started yet and have an entire campaign to roll out. But I'm happy to take a collective sense check from everyone in here to see what you reckon. Whether to let up for a bit.

I think the sore point is the Princess IGF piece. Apparently she is loved by her constituents and her people. And insulting her is not helping.

Anyway let me know.
I was contacted by Jens once before aswell when i was giving Mupande shit on twitter and he was replying back (whether it was his real account or fake i dont know). His heart is definitely in the right place but Fk me after all the calls about red carpets and timelines...... Why does he think this week is any different.

As others have mentioned, definitely email AVZ and see if you get a response, if they have been using Jens as a middle man to tell you to stop, they should have the guts and respect to contact you themselves.

IMO i think its BS that the president is upset, and if he is then that is a good thing. Everyone in this forum is upset with all of the f*king talk that he's been splurting and absolute f*ckall has happened. He should be embarrassed. 🖕🍍🤬

If nothing happens after a week (to be expected), i will help ramp up the output on twitter aswell out of principle that it is making waves.

Since your awesome work, there has been A LOT more locals getting involved on twitter and i couldn't give a sh*t if Mupande or Adele or even the president are upset because FACTS have been making their way around twitter and the local community.

In regards to the positive content being released. I think something like this says everything that needs to be said. For any of those with more time, feel free to make better.

Personally I would ask Nigel and Ben if it's true. And would give them a 2 day deadline for a response.
If nothing is coming I would continue with the fireworks and would give a fuck about jens opinion.

Because who is his source? If not the management surely not the president or a minister by himself. Maybe just the Canadian Book Selling Prince? :D

Zijin bought the 15% in the August/September 21....

Felix had 18 months time to stop this deal, 18 months to kick out the MoP, 18 months to help AVZ.
But did nothing. Instead he praised his country how save it is, making deals in a new battery council where we are not involved and talked more with chinese to make new deals instead with our company to start the first progress. Made a SEZ for a battery plant without securing the lithium for it in this moment.

The reshuffle is overdue, and I don't think it will happen.
This guy have at least 2 watches for worth more then 700k, flying through the world and is talking more silly stuff as a drunken priest, don't act against corruption after showing him clear evidence even after his IGF bulldog showed it (he is the real champion in my opinion).

And now he's worried about Macron and only has his re-election on his mind.

Fuck of, do your fuckin job and help your people and stop that shit.

If honest facts from shareholders make him feel uncomfortable then rightly so. They gave us a million reasons to do it.
In addition, your counters are factual and not only offensive in a bad way.

If felix disadvantage avz even more because of the actions of the shareholders, then he just shows how incompetent he is on many levels.

Im my opinion I would double the number of firework!

P.s: After writing more than 100 emails to different parts of the government: zero response
But it gave me the energy for the next 100!
This is his source:
