OK so I've just been contacted by Jens Emil Soderlund on my twitter private message. He has asked me to lay off the so called "Memes" (they are not memes they are tactical comms). He said just lay off because the President is getting pissed off with them (embarrassing).
The request was to lay off just for this week. (obviously due to Macron visit). I told him I hadn't even started yet and have an entire campaign to roll out. But I'm happy to take a collective sense check from everyone in here to see what you reckon. Whether to let up for a bit.
I think the sore point is the Princess IGF piece. Apparently she is loved by her constituents and her people. And insulting her is not helping.
Anyway let me know.
Spike my view is it's most likely come from our exec's to Jens (like it has been in the past!). I agree with you that your memes are 'tactical comms' and it looks like our exec's feel they may be going too far.
It's our BOD and exec's fault for not including shareholders in the process, but when it has to do with corrupt and confidential negotiations, and cabinet ministers, CAMI and the State Mining Company (Cominiere) are involved any person with any knowledge of the law would understand why AVZ can't disclose everything that's going on, and they would also understand that ministers often aren't held accountable, and when investigations into them are undertaken, it can take years for anything to come of it. Just look at Scott Morrison and the politicians in this country if you want proof.
The MoP has already been named and Tshisekedi is not likely to sack her or the MoM because he needs them to remain President. More focus on Zigin and the fact that the DG of Cominiere has been charged with fraudulently and illegally selling shares to Zigin and focus on how Chinese companies are trying to take over the DRC for their own benefit.
I don't think we should take a week off, just maybe consider what things work best in our favour. We have seen a great deal of support from DRC locals as well as local journalists there and if you are able to communicate privately with Jens, you will no doubt know how you will want to proceed.... Jens has direct communication with the company and your media contributions are excellent!!
